NA reset time means no collecting final tickets :(

So... Who else on NA didn't get to collect their final tickets because they were asleep?

If the reset time is after most people go to bed (3am here), and the event ends either before a lot of people get up or when people are getting ready for work/school (7am here) then very few are going to have a chance to collect tickets on the final partial-day of events. Especially for events that require more than summoning a cake to get them, I doubt many people are going to be doing the more demanding events eeeaarly in the morning before going to work to get those tickets.

This is not okay.

It's been like this on EU since always. Event end time has always been in the middle of the work/school day on EU.
If it is an event that needs a specific thing done to hand in, do it on a toon the day before then login quickly before leaving for work/school and hand it in, or eat your cake etc.

On EU servers I say its pretty perfect, that is except the PlayStation players who was offline from before reset to after event ended, worse than the pc players who could do event after server came up again.
Reset in in middle of night so you can take couple of minutes to eat cake or hand in a quest if in a hurry or do stuff if up early.

Earlier it was 06:00 GMT, or 07:00 or even 08:00 with summer time in most of Europe and worse in Eastern Europe or middle east so you had to leave for work before reset and get home after event ended.

Yes I missed out but only because I don't feel like waking up earlier in the morning to do them. NO early riser achievement for me.
That being said, it does not make me angry and I can't imagine demanding they change things. No matter WHAT time they pick for the daily turnover, some people are not going to like it. The benefits of ONE daily time turnover for everything far outweigh the cons, for me.

I mean, consider that on EU event starts late in their day, whereas NA gets 20 hours.

Really should have events start and end on reset.

Events still end at 10am for me, so I'm not seeing any change and was able to get the last batch of tickets around 8ish like usual.

    This is not okay.

It took me literally 2 minutes to start up my computer, log into the game and eat some cake for tickets this morning at 6am PST, with 2 hours to spare before the event ended (IIRC). If people can't be bothered to expend even this small amount of effort, I don't see it as ZOS' fault.

Even for more "demanding" events, if you really want the tickets you'll do what it takes to get them. As others have said, any time ZOS chooses to end an event is going to inconvenience someone.

OP notes that the event ended at 7am for them, which puts them in Pacific Time. That means for years they had the geographic luxury of having the reset at 10pm/11pm dependent on DST, and easier for them to “double dip” before and after reset than it was for pretty much anyone in the world.

Now that they are slightly inconvenienced by having to get up 5 min before 7am to get the last day’s tickets, they are demanding a change.

Some players will easily get the first day’s tickets, some will get the last, most won’t get both unless willing to inconvenience themselves for it.

Yeah I went to bed at 1am PST, got up at daily reset 2 hours later, ground out more boxes until the event ended at 7am, then went back to bed.

I got 14 days (double on day 1) worth of dailies out of it. I precrafted 15 days of items, so it took like 30 minutes total from eat cake, pick up quests, turn in quests, and drop stuff in bank on 18 characters. My main does other dailies.

We all end up in that situation at some point. I'm at GMT+10 (11 during daylight savings), and some of the ESO maintenance or reset times haven't been particularly convenient for me. What made this event unique, though, is that the tickets are added when you have more cake, but you can't have more cake until the timer's expired on the last slice! :) That made scheduling my daily cake slice a bit tricky on a few days.

Eh, I've never bothered to try to get the "last day" tickets. I have a LOT of stuff going on in the morning, and that doesn't include logging into game earlier than I normally get up. It's not a big deal. Right now I have full tickets on three accounts both pc megaservers. And I won't be getting any more until 3rd quarter lands because I don't mess with pvp events at all.

No biggie. I'll get my partial indriks completed next year - *shrug* Or not, if ZOS decides to drop the "remedial indriks" program.

The daily reset time for me used to be 1am/2am and now it's 5am/6am (depending on daylight savings). I'm usually awake by 6am anyway so it was easy enough to get the final tickets of this event. But if there was a maintenance that day then it would probably be impossible to get them assuming the maintenance was at ~4am and reset was at 6am...

Really though I don't care what time the daily reset happens as long as all daily activities reset at the same time.

Wouldn't it be cool though if everyone's dailies could reset at the start of each day in their own time zone. Or at least not reset near maintenance times...

You can cancel the buff timer on the cake at any time. Just right click it in your Character menu.

You can also re-up your cake at any time. It’s not treated like the xp scrolls where you have to wait for one to expire before you consume the next one, you can keep eating cake over and over and it refreshes the buff.

OP, I'm with you. For me, the previous time was way, way better. New one is often impossible for me with my schedule and I definitely missed my last 3 tickets because of the change.

Now, I completely get that the reset will never be perfect for everyone, and I'm happy for the people for whom the change made this easier. But it does NOT make me lazy that I can't rearrange my completely packed life with a demanding job around a change in timers. It worked great for me for 8 years. Just because some people have "had it worse" doesn't invalidate that others are inconvenienced by the change and it is a QoL decrease for them. It just means more (or different) folks will be frustrated at the end of events, and perhaps ZOS should keep working to come up with creative solutions to make this situation better for all.

What I think ZOS should have done was add an extra day's length to events, when they made changes, without increasing or decreasing their standard formula for the amount of ticket rewards typically provided in each event, so that no one felt like they "lost" anything with the timer changes, because they had been in place for so long.
My #1 wish for ESO Today: Decouple achievements from character progress and tracking.

I understand it's never going to be ideal for everyone everywhere, but seeing as they chose the new reset time change with the intent of making things more convenient for the people in the north america time zones (and european time zones), the current event end time doesn't really seem to have been factored into that since it doesn't seem to be particularly covenient for either east coast or west coast to have this short early morning window on the last day.

The partial days have always seemed awkward to me anyways, but a lot more so now. Sure people will try to find ways to make it work for them, but it seems like the timing as it is now is Less convenient than it was before so while they're at all the schedule changing why not also change this to be more convenient by matching events to the two different reset times?

If they want players to participate in the events then don't they want to not make it inconvenient to do so? While some people may be content to go out of their way and get less sleep in order to claim their final tickets, why settle for unideal if there's a possibility this could be changed? It really would make a lot more sense to simply start and end events at the reset times instead of this partial day nonsense which requires extra effort to work with the scheduling on the first and/or last day.

Tickets should reset around 1 Am EST like they used to. This six am is absolutely nuts. Very few people are up at

Then get up at 5:50 and get tickets before your morning rush starts. If it's that important to people they should put forth the minimal effort required.
