OVERVIEW

The Elder Scrolls Online v1.0.7 features more fixes to quest issues and blockers, in addition to some fixes to backend systems to improve overall game performance.


FIXES & IMPROVEMENTS

Alliance War
General
The Elder Scroll beacon effect will no longer vanish when the carrier uses the vampire ability Mist Form.
You can no longer use the ability Bolt Escape while carrying an Elder Scroll.

Combat & Gameplay
Vampire
Fixed an issue with the ability Bat Swarm so it will no longer stack with itself. It will instead refresh if re-cast.
Reduced the cost reduction per stage of vampire abilities.
Reduced the movement speed bonus of the ability Mist Form.

Werewolf
Fixed an issue that would cause some werewolves to retain the speed boost indefinitely.

Dungeons & Group Content
Veteran Dungeons
Darkshade Caverns: Fixed an issue where you could gain more loot than intended from bosses.

Inventory & Bank
Guild Store
Reduced the cost of listing an item in a guild store.
Reduced the amount of gold taxed on the sale of an item in a guild store.

Mail
Significantly reduced the cost of sending C.O.D. mail.
Fixed an issue where the postage fee percentage for C.O.D. mail was not working as intended.
Fixed an issue where you were still being charged a postage fee for C.O.D. mail even if the recipient name was invalid.

Miscellaneous
General
Fixed a server-related issue that should improve performance in Cyrodiil.

Quests
General
Removed traces of translation tags for items in the guild stores.

Alik’r Desert
Whose Wedding: Slicer can now be interacted with consistently.

Auridon
Sever All Ties: You can now use all three portals, and fight High Kinlady Estre.
A Hostile Situation: Captain Astanya will no longer get stuck and block your quest progress.

Coldharbour
The Final Assault: You can now light the final brazier.
What the Heart Wants: Stibbons will now proceed through the door at the end of the cave, progressing the quest.

Deshaan
Mine All Mine: You can now complete the quest step to "Clear the Harvest Room" when all the monsters in the room are killed.
Vision Quest: The Imp will now consistently appear and open the portal.

Fighters Guild
The Prismatic Core: Portals will now consistently appear.

Glenumbra
Rally Cry: You can interact with Shaza and progress with the quest.
Seeking the Guardians: Fixed an issue where the voiceover dialogue was in the incorrect language.

Grahtwood
The Blacksap's Hold: Maeroth can now be found where expected.
Scars Never Fade: You are now able to duel hunters to advance the quest.

Greenshade
Report to Marbruk: You will no longer have issues completing "Striking at the Heart" before "Report to Marbruk."
Moonhenge's Tear: The Key of Strife and Key of Discord will now drop when the appropriate enemy is defeated, and all prisoners can now be freed.
Witch of Silitar: Fixed an issue where relogging or crashing during Aranias' demonstration would block your progress.
Mist and Shadow: You can now find Mel Adrys where expected.

Mages Guild
Circus of Cheerful Slaughter: You will now be able to interact with Valaste, and can also find Sheogorath.

Malabal Tor
Fulfilling One's Fate: Guardian Celonron's spirit will now appear when you are directed to kill him.

Reaper’s March
Motes in the Moonlight: The Dark Mane will no longer reset in the middle of the fight, blocking quest progression.
On the Doorstep: You can now interact with Gnolas and the Crystal.
The First Step: You will no longer get stuck on the quest step "Watch the Ceremony."

Rivenspire
A Traitor's Tale: The King and General will no longer disappear unexpectedly.

Shadowfen
Clarity: Binding Crystals will now appear when expected.

Stormhaven
Godrun's Dream: Fixed an issue where monsters were not set at the intended difficulty level for Silver and Gold players.

UI
Chat
Fixed an issue that would cause the guild officer chat channel to break. Typing /officer1 will now properly send a message to all officers in your first guild.

    Nothing should have up to a 60% reduction in magicka cost for free before anything else is considered.

    It was silly for bat swarm to stack with itself.

    I mean... you're mad because the I Win button has been fixed?

    Actually they nerfed vamp because some people were exploiting it in a way that essentially gave them god mode. That's not "combat tactics".

    If supernaturals are supposed to be like that, where are the werewolves? Why aren't we seeing packs of them mowing down entire enemy lines the way we were (are?) seeing vamps doing so?

    Maybe you can explain how you mist far far away after dropping Magicka on combat powers? As a NB this never really worked that well for me.

    I will still look across the lands from my perch at Arrius, Nerf or no I will still be the Night. I may not be the hero Ebonheart Pact wanted but I will be the hero Ebonheart pact deserves.

    The sad part is, despite this being a troll post, I would estimate 88% of vampire characters feel this way. Or at least enough to make me feel all giddy inside.

    thanks for not fixing our abilities, but thanks for nerfing them in pve instead because of a completely different exploit in pvp.

    You do realize you can easily be CC'd out of mist form by anyone who knows what they are doing right? I can't count how many times It's happened to me. That's a matter of L2P. I'll take the speed reduction without a word, but increasing the magicka cost was unnecessary.

    On another note,the cost reduction and bat swarm stacking had to go. That's a given. If bat swarm is still spammable, that also needs to go.

    Being a vampire since early access, this patch is disheartening to say the least. I almost want to cure myself right now. Mist is now too costly to use in a long battle. Not a biggy for me since I'm a sorcerer. I'll just switch for bolt escape. But what about the other classes? Poison mist does not do the damage It's suppose to. Drain is almost useless in pvp unless you're fighting a solo target. The passives are still broken and need to be fixed.


    I won't cure myself though. I've fallen in love with my vampire character since the day he first got bit by a bloodfiend in the rift. I'll wait until the fixes come.

    Really? Changes and balancing are part and parcel of an mmo. This kind of re-balancing will always be going on.

    Other classes die sometimes when they choose to PVP and dont have a god like escape ability to switch to after one gets nerfed. This statement right here says a lot about the current state of PVP.

    "Oh well, my get out of jail free card got used, good thing I have another one."

    There should never be such thing as PVPing and then changing your mind in the middle when you start to get owned and escaping on a whim. Escape should require a great deal of effort, not a yawn and a button spam.

    If you really think that having have a skill line that is "1.(n+1)" multiplier of effectiveness to a base player being "1" instead of an equal option is anywhere reasonable, maybe you should take your goth/bdsm/blooddoll fantasy somewhere else, and install Vampire Masquarade:Bloodlines ( a great game, btw, I loved it)

    God forbid a glass cannon class has a chance of escaping....the thought....ugh...

    Escaping isn't for 'wussies who wont fight'. It's a tactic that's sometimes necessary to survive in battle. So, that being said, you must be one of those guys that charges straight into a zerg giving them free AP?

    Not only that but if you've spent enough time in pvp, which clearly you haven't, there are ways to defeat it.
    Rooting sorcerers really helps, especially if trying to bolt on uneven surfaces. You can't bolt for sh*& uphill and if you bolt downhill, you run the risk of taking damage, plus the time it takes for the roll animation to complete.

    I've heard tell that chain will work as a counter as well.

    Rapid maneuver + elusive mist and you should be able to match them in speed. Or at least that was the case until the recent patch.

    Rapid maneuver + Mount and you can not only keep up with them, but surpass them.

    There's more as well, if anyone cares to add to it.

    since it hasn't been posted here i'll let you know that it is also used to solo dungeon delves on the PTS server in craglorn so it has also been used as an exploit in PVE in a four man zone.

    As a Vampire, I'm sad they didn't fix the broken passives, but I'm not overly miffed about the fixes. Because, let's be honest, these were fixes. Stacking batswarm was stupid. Mistform speed was too much (though I agree increasing the cost ON TOP of reducing the speed is just cruel). The cost reduction of vamp abilities isn't too terrible. After testing, at stage 4 my regen is high enough that I still almost always have enough magika to use drain when I need to. Mistform is still useful in PvE as an escape from mobs, or to help avoid boss aoe's in dungeons while getting to a safe spot.

    If they fix the passives, vamp is still a great skill line, nothing to get bent out of shape over. I certainly have no desire to go get cured.

    This really just balances vamp out a bit, with a slight nerf. Nothing to ragequit over.

    You're completely allowed to play the denial game... It's your story, you tell it like you want...

    But Vampires were (still are, really) overpowered. I imagine shield bash and DK talons are in the sights for the next patch.

    Already is. One of the main issues was bad stacking from amulets and skills. So they're correcting that so the bash does the damage it's supposed to.

    You mean the skills are no longer the best of the best and a person is stupid not to take them? Both still have situations that they can be used well. Drain is still basically god mode in VR rank pve. The change simply makes them less of a no brainer and give a reason to use some skills over them as needed.

    Did they? Not really... They just nerfed the line to the ground and that's it.

    The real fix would've been if then changed the way ultimate cost reduction stacks (and CAP it) AND they fix the casting of multiple ultimates at the same time AND if they fixed the healing during mist form.

    Now they made the line useless for me as a PVE player (I can't care less for PvP but it affects me for some stupid devs reasons) and keep in mind I never abused any of the stuff mentioned above...the thing that comes near to the abuse is that I sometimes had the chance to cast new ultimate(bat swarm) few seconds after the first ended...

    Well if you are a vampire and stacking stamina and stamina regeneration, and then complain over that you're not as powerful as those that stack magica and magica regeneration, there for they should not have "nerfed" the magica regen of vampires might try to look at this from a gamers point of view and not from a selfish point of view.

    PS: PvE will be as competitive as PvP when Craglorn comes out so it was necessary to be balanced for PvE as well.

    Comments like that is totally unnecessary and does not contribute to the topic at all. I get it that you are happy that they try to balance the vampires. But it always help to take the moral high ground in a debate. It's allot easier to attack from there.
