Please armory bag.

I feel like armory is really held back by the fact that the gear is not stored separately.
It was the feature I was looking forward to the most over the years, but switching between many different roles can take up a lot of space in the bag. To the point where even having 3 different roles becomes unfeasible even on fully upgraded bag.
Or alternatively please let us atleast load builds when items are stored in a bank.

As a person who doesn't really like playing multiple characters armory is a life-saver.
I will bring only few examples of different roles you might want on one character:
1)Stamina DD
2)Mag DD
3)Tank
4)Healer
5)Solo
6)PVP

And that is excluding some more niche options.

Agree completely. When I realized you had to carry the extra stuff spread around in your inventory, I walked away from the armory system. There are several possible solutions, of which I favor storing the items in your bank and adding a new category in the bank for that purpose.
PC NA(no Steam), PvE, mostly solo

Agree. It works fine for a character with 2-3 armory builds, max. After that you'd be better off buying another character slot than an armory slot

    💯

Gear should be slottable no matter where it is on your account - another character, bank, and storage. That would eliminate logging on and off constantly to strip one character of gear to use it on another character or having multiple copies of the exact same gear bc you don't want to constantly strip and swap.

This also reduces inventory bloat which helps reduce lag.

Absolutely, can't use armory due to the limited, maxed out bag space.

    Do this!

Currently got four builds on my crafter and it works without inventory becoming too constrained, despite lugging around a lot of surveys and writ items. 111/215 slots in use as of now.

It would be a nice QoL feature if the armory stored the items for it's builds though.

I'm in full support of this Idea as I have one character and have always carried multiple setups and switched as needed using add-ons.

I'd prefer that the armory pulls from the bank than store gear with each build. I use the same gear in several builds so that makes more sense to me.

Here is how I solve the issue as it stands. I have 3 builds I use daily and might need to swap between and carry all the gear for these using Wizards wardrobe to switch builds.

I have several armory builds that swap mag/stam, pvp/pve, theif/harvester, etc. I store gear for each armory build in a chest next to it. I also have several builds for each armory theme set up in wizards. Its not ideal but I only ever have to carry a few sets and although going home and swapping gear is a pain I only have to do it for big changes in play style and rarely back and forth in a single session.

I agree in that it would be nice if it worked as it does in Guild Wars 2 where the gear is stored with the build. However, such a system would bring a lot of complaints here in ESO since it would we can currently use the same gear on multiple characters but such a system would require having different sets for different characters if they are stored in the armory build.

In reality, it is not a big deal given how we can recreate any piece of gear in our sticker book but I expect we would see complaints regardless.

I've always been in support of logic and function relating to structure wherever possible. To that end perhaps the Armory itself can serve as some sort of storage for saved equipment sets that aren't being used.
If you can be anything, be kind.

A shared inventory for gear would be nice, it might be difficult to instead locate gear on another character (or even, on that same character) that is in the armory. They need to do away with the armory assistant and just make it a swap on the wheel, and for that gear to not be located within the armory (as the OP's suggestion entails), but within a bag that all characters can access.

Armory is best when left empty and is used to redo build from scratch. At 507 shard points it's great.

I have to agree with Rev Rielle above, if you were to pay for and use many Armory slots the least that the Armoury/Armorer should do is store the unused set items when not in use.

As it is now, ZoS will never sell that many upgrade slots since we cannot hold all the gear! It would be in their benefit too to add this functionality to the System, a 'hidden bag' if you like, players are happy, will be encouraged to use it more, and they get to sell us additional slots.

Would be even better if it was an account wide storage so that I wouldn't have to gold out 6 sets of relequen

While I am possibly in support of this idea, I don't understand the folks who say the lack of this idea makes the feature useless. As a healer, I was carrying around tons of sets before the armory, and I still am. The armory just makes it so I don't have to change mundus stones and whatnot when I want to be a DPS instead.

I would not like it if, for a feature like this, the spare gear went somewhere where I would have to first equip it and then take it off to move it to the bank, as I sometimes have to share equipment between characters. It would have to be extra space but as easily accessible as regular bag storage, or it would add annoyance to the functionality for me.
My #1 wish for ESO Today: Decouple achievements from character progress and tracking.

Given the large amount that they charge for an extra armory slot (for each separate character!) they should add enough extra inventory slots (14) to our existing bags accommodate new weapon slots, new armor slots and new jewelry slots every time we purchase an additional armory slot.

If they did that, I’ll bet they would sell a lot more armory slots, too.
