What do you do when you queue up for a specific dungeon , and it's not the dungeon you picked?

Either due to a mis-click or a game bug, you are now in a dungeon that you either didn't select to be in, or you don't think you selected to be in it. What do you do?

I play out the dungeon

Maybe I should have picked "it depends". On my healer (most of the dungeons I run) I don't leave mostly because I know that the wait for a healer is long, and making others wait (maybe the whole time it takes for them to get thru the dungeon) for my mistake isn't something I want to do. I really hate it when tanks do it so I don't. And I don't queue for specific dungeons on my DPS because, healer main why would I? Longer wait, no real benefit.

So I have never run into it on my DPS. There may be one or two that I would bail on. I really don't like March of Sacrifices, for instance, I don't know.

If I like it, need something from it, or it's short, I'll just play it out.

If it's one I really don't want to do or too long, I'll bounce.

As long as it isn't super long and depending on the role I'm filling. I'd I'm on a dps I'll bounce, tank I'll usually stay if it's a dlc dungeon.

I leave the group

I use to just play them.

Had the queue bug out on me once when doing pledges for ruins of mazzatun, I queued for normal and got vet, one other group member said the same in group chat, we decided to just do it, we were struggling on the bosses but we were managing I and the other guy who queued normal, recommended we not do the hard mode due to how the group had been struggling with the earlier bosses.

Of course the other 2 went on a rant in group chat about, there being no point to having done the dungeon if we didn't do the hard mode for the extra pledge keys. So we made the attempt and failed over and over, those 2 who's bright idea it was to do the hard mode were the first to jump ship, had no hope in hell of getting replacements so we threw in the towel after wasting well over an hour of time.

I re ran the dungeon in normal finished it with no issues, if the queue ever spits me into a vet dungeon when I didn't queue for one, I just leave now, its what I should have done that day.

Now it depends heavily on the group I end up with, I will make the attempt to clear the dungeon I get but if its not going well within the first 2 bosses I tend to leave, DLC dungeons in particular.

In regards to the question, it's never happened to me.
I did queue for my favorite dungeon the other night "Vaults of Madness" on my main, a healer, for fun.
We ended up having one of those tanks, a real one, who for whatever reason sprints through the dungeon to get to the final boss(?)
I told the group I wasn't chasing a tank only to get ganked by the returning mobs and bailed.
I'm too old for that ship.

If I have time I play it, other wise I jump out (99% of the time its play, its rare I log on for a very short time and queue for a dungeon)

Honestly, if I get a long DLC dungeon for a random, I leave as well, cooldown is character specific.

But when in "Random" queue I'm getting to not one of my fav dungeons, I still stay and play it

I'll groan but I'll do the dungeon. Only exception I can think of would be if I had a limited time to farm something I needed (for an upcoming trial for eg.) and ended up getting a really long one like vLOM I might leave, but almost always I'd do the run, especially if I was queuing on a tank because then the group would be hard pressed to find a replacement.

This has honestly never happened to me in all the years I have played. I guess I'm lucky!

However I can always use Stickerbook pieces so I would play out the dungeon.

I didn't know that could happen. I've never had it happen to me.

But if it were to happen to me, then what I do depends on the dungeon. If it's base game and doesn't end in "II" then I'll stay just so the others can get their transmutes.

If it's anything else, then I'll stay if A) It's on normal and B ) I need stickers. I have too little time to spend on a game bugging out and not doing what I asked it to.

Ive had it happen a couple of times, due to operator error (clicked normal instead of vet). If the group wants a tank, then Ill stay. Otherwise, I dont mind leaving. The last 2 times that it happened I asked. One group said "please stay" and the other we convinced to leave and run vet since it was a pledge. But, if you finish a pledge on normal and don't turn it in, you can go back and run HM after and still get the rewards, so its only a minor inconvenience.

Never happened to me. I would probably run the dungeon unless I ended up in something like VMOS with a bunch of potatoes. Even then, I would give it a few pulls.

The only time this has ever happened to me was when I accidentally queued for a random vet instead of a random normal.

I stayed and ran through it because I’m not an a******.
