List of Suggestions to Consider

Redwaller66
Hello, seeing as there are no places for me to put a suggestion thread, I will have to place this here.
The following suggestions are in no way marked in any order of significance. They are for you to consider developing in the future.

1.)Capes--> Why not? Most mmos have them. Good for looking good and for adding more stats on your toon.

2) crossbows--> This game has siege engines but not crossbows. That does not make sense. This is a must. They should be slower than regular bows, but more powerful and not have as far of a range. I am sure you can work out the balancing.

3) More land mounts--> Not just horses would be cool. Bears, silt striders (would probably be too difficult to add a silt strider due to their physique, but definitely add as a transport system if not already. Use your imagination.

4) Flying mounts--> controversial, many people want, and many people do not want. Each with quite rational arguments. Eagles, dragons anyone?

5) Underwater swimming--> Eventually this must really be implemented. Diving for treasure anyone? Even Morrowwind had this! (Then again Morrowwind had lot's of things Oblivion and Skyrim didn't).

6) Breathing underwater enchantment--> Legendary glyph using legendary runes for use only on helms. Redundant for Argonians for they should be able to breathe underwater anyway.

7) Tattoo slots--> enchanted tattoos which can only be placed by specialists in some enchanting buildings who will use some special dye you can find, along with some gold as a payment, to craft an enchanted tattoo onto you. They can only be removed by paying these specialists a steep fee. Different dyes have different abilities, and different shapes of tattoo have different meanings. For example, a red dragon tattoo could mean fire (for the red dye) and the dragon could mean it is an offensive enchantment meaning the you have a chance of inflicting extra fire damage. A red shield would be fire defense for example. All dyes would be a purple item and for high levels only.

Flails--> My favourite type of weapon, flails are rods with chains on the end with balls attached to the end of the chain, often with spikes or ridges on the ball.

Spears and Pikes and Poleaxes--> Another type of weapon that should be added,

9)Eventual expansions--> a)Akavir anyone? Would have to be with correct scaling though. Would probably be the expansion of expansions for Akavir is a very large continent (maybe even larger or the same size as Tamriel!) with four main races (not including humans), dragons, and the provinces that make up Akavir in the lore. I would personally be willing to pay 50-60 bucks for this expansion.

b)Atmora expedition anyone? Some people from the long lost continent would make it to Tamriel, envoys proving people still inhabit the continent and asking for help. Would be a land a third the size of Tamriel, mostly glaciated and in perpetual snow. It is where the Nords originally came from before they were mostly driven out by the growing ice age. But have some have adapted and have remained. Make contact and help them drive out some threat in exchange for them helping your faction and joining the empire. (obviously some would each of the three factions.)

c) Yakuda. An abandoned island chain where the Redguards originated. Said to have been destroyed by an unknown natural disaster. Recent earthquakes have unearthed the island chain once again to the West of High Rock. Help an expedition travel to discover the mysteries surrounding this lost archipelago.

d)Aldmeris--> A long lost continent said to be the original homeland to the mer (elves). Said that the entire large island was city that has been rebuilt on top of the ruins of the last over and over again. Do something creative with this land. =P

Yakuda, Atmora, and Aldmeris would be great to have in one expansion, for it could have a faction for each: high elves for Aldmeris, Nords for Atmora, and Redguards for Yakuda bringing in their respective factions.

e) Thras, the home of the menacing sload race. Mannimarco apparently had connections with the sloads. They used to menace the Summerset Islands. The Aldmeri dominion had sent a fleet there to retaliate but only one ship made it back alive to tell the fearsome tales of the coral atolls of Thras. Would make an interesting expansion methinks.

Well, there's not really any giant flying creatures in the Elder Scrolls universe I know of, except dragons, but this is before the dragons is starting to awake, so... And eagles would be weird, since they don't really have any relation to the lore :D
Honestly I couldn't see flying mounts have any relation to the game lorewise at all. It only works in World of Warcraft, because flying mounts have always been a part of the lore, and characters.

Capes I believe they have stated will be added a later date.

What I would suggest would be a ticket system for the website, where we can see what open tickets we have, with pending answers, etc, just like every other major game, instead of this mail correspondence :)

Capes would be nice. My characters back always feels quite lacking whenever I change to 3rd person view as I have gotten used to them during all these years of gaming. :p

Hello, seeing as there are no places for me to put a suggestion thread, I will have to place this here.

1.)Capes--> Why not? Most mmos have them. Good for looking good and for adding more stats on your toon.

I agree here. I guess there is a reason why they have not made cloaks, but I hope to see them implemented in the future.

    2) crossbows--> This game has siege engines but not crossbows. That does not make sense. This is a must. They should be slower than regular bows, but more powerful and not have as far of a range. I am sure you can work out the balancing.

    There are Crossbows. Just rare.

    3) More land mounts--> Not just horses would be cool. Bears, silt striders (would probably be too difficult to add a silt strider due to their physique, but definitely add as a transport system if not already. Use your imagination.

Nah, this is not world of warcraft. I would welcome odd quests or rare oppertunities that would grant you a certain mount other then horse.

However, this is Elderscrolls. The people uses horses and ships to travel.
MAYBE the odd hero tames a dragon, or a wood ranger can use a bear. But if these are to be in game, make them VERY rare. Pretty much so when you see someone riding a bear, the server knows who 2-3 people it can be.
    4) Flying mounts--> controversial, many people want, and many people do not want. Each with quite rational arguments. Eagles, dragons anyone?

"Many" people wants? Who are you asking? I would say many people does NOT want flying mounts because that pretty much ruins one of the core features about ESO....exploring.

This is not World of Warcraft.

    5) Underwater swimming--> Eventually this must really be implemented. Diving for treasure anyone? Even Morrowwind had this! (Then again Morrowwind had lot's of things Oblivion and Skyrim didn't).

I agree that they should add underwater swimming. Maybe even underwater zones! Skyrim had underwater swimming. Lots of treasures and monsters to be found that way on PC (Dont know on consol)

    6) Breathing underwater enchantment--> Legendary glyph using legendary runes for use only on helms. Redundant for Argonians for they should be able to breathe underwater anyway.

If and when they add underwater content, they need to adress how players should go about doing this. Your suggestion seams a bit "easy", but in general I'll agree.

A VERY good idea! The only problem I see with this is possible lag unless this was only availible to a select few. GRAND idea!

Zenimax! Look at this one *points up*
Flails--> My favourite type of weapon, flails are rods with chains on the end with balls attached to the end of the chain, often with spikes or ridges on the ball.

Spears and Pikes and Poleaxes--> Another type of weapon that should be added,

The devs already stated that more content/features/patches will be introduced slowly when the game evolves. They even stated in a video that more types of weapon "Most likely" will be added.

    9)Eventual expansions--> .

You have some interesting ideas for expansions. There really should be a suggestion box for this. You got some good ones, but I cant help to feel you want everything at once!

Again, the DEVS (not players) have stated that new content will be released in time. Both as patches for the game and coming expansions.

So far there are loads to do in the game. I dont really see the point with more content atm. Cloak would be nice and more weapon skills, yes, but my guess is that both these are not far away =)

Nice post with suggestions, but dont listen to much to your WoW friends. ;-)

Aye, this is for long-term contemplation for these suggestions. As for tattoos causing lag, they would not be too visible, just on the backs or what not of people's characters.

    1. Capes. Not a major issue for me.
    2. Crossbows. Well Crossbows were invented lost, reinvented, and lost again several times in our history. While seige engines tended to be kept. So it's not impossible that Crossbows have been temporarily lost.
    3. More Land Mounts. Well, some more mounts would be fun, but can't remember any other than Silt Striders, which are too big.
    4. Flying Mounts. None exist in Tamriel Lore, the only flying mounts in any of the games were the Dragons of Skyrim.
    5. Underwater swimming. No reason for this in an MMO, yes it was a huge part of The Elder Scrolls, but only because of exploration. It would be a huge Expansion to add it, and most of us wouldn't bother exploring properly.
    6. Underwater Breathing. See Underwater Swimming.
    7. Tattoos. No Lore for Magic Tattoes in Elder Scrolls, this comes from other games. Not totally against it, but there is no reason to add it.
    8. Flails. First your description is more for Morningstar than a Flail, which are usually rods with chains attaching more rods or flat weights. I have no problem with these or spears or Polearms being added.
    9. Akavir might be good, I don't know anything about Thras. And Atmora, Yakuda and Aldmeris are supposed to have been destroyed (although it's not clear about what degree).

I would like more mounts. Not flying ones though. Maybe guar. I know they aren't probably as fast as a horse but they are used for carrying items in morrowind. So maybe a slower mount with increased starting carrying weight?

I hope they add capes but nothing I'm too worried about.

I agree that there should be underwater swimming later on. There are a lot of shipwrecks in the dominion and it would be cool to find sunken treasure.

And I like the idea of adding the other continents. Just after all of Tamriel has been opened up. :)

I think ESO needs a new land that players can reach via a portal and in this land will be massive raids based on Egyptian and Greek mythology and those that complete these raids will earn special levels to denote their Mastery. Maybe also add weapons and armor that can be leveled up but only if the player has unlocked them by finding special scrolls that drop off of random monsters scattered about the world.

No no dude, it would be awesome, they could have some raids that we could call trials and the land could be like a ESO version of Atlantis. It would be GREAT!
