Free Pet!!! Can it block?

✭(I know I'm late but...) I don't like the free pet thing purely because I'm a pvper so couldn't use it even if I wanted to lol, but I do think it would have been better recieved if someone else wrote the 'apology'1 -

Every patch releases major bugs, most of which are flagged on PTS.

The game is broken in so many places still (some 3+ years old at this point), new content is lackluster and there's sweeping content changes every 6 months that nobody wants and leaves them frustrated. Don't even get me started with how they treat PvP...

And these are most likely the players who never use block in overland content, and have no idea what's even going on, or why they are getting a free pet.
This one can understand why some players are frustrated with the short announcement from Lambert, and why the pet seems superficial. Sammy has been doing his part with the accountability on update 35 etc.
At the same time, a gesture of good will should be acknowledged as such.
How they move forward with response to update 35 and other issues will be the test.
@SammyKhajit it's not good because it always happens this quarter. The 4th quarter dlc has poor quality control. Not to mention first quarter dlc was broken nearly two weeks. Imagine waiting 5 mins to put an item for sale.
We had other dlc in fourth quarter fail too. I remember bosses resting, falling through world. We also had a letter then too.
They need to hire some seasonal staff for 4th quarter QA.4 -

I'm not. We've had several past updates with frequent crashes, graphics glitches, ridiculous combat breakage, complete inability to log in, and many other things. Never has Rich issued an apology before that I'm aware of. And the claim that it was "a rougher than normal" launch is actually wrong, it's quite par for the course. So this begs the question, why apologize now?4
