How often does the motif drop?
Opened 3 Dreadsail Reef reward coffers - one on Wednesday at 18:30, the second on Thursday at 16:30, the third on Thursday at 23:30 (approximate time, +- 30 minutes). Received 1 motif only from the first coffer.
Drop rate not 100% per day per account?
Is there some kind of hidden and incomprehensible cooldown?

based on previous trial coffers it only gave a motif chapter for vet, with a chance to get it on normal
figure would ask the obvious just to make sure lolplays PC/NA

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (fully filled out with current game), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them
in progress: acquiring mundus stones (currently only have the thief)

ClericPro✭✭✭I'll tell you a secret - there is no difference between coffers for passing the veteran or normal versions.
There is a similar system in 2 previous trials: Rock Grove and Kyne Aegis — the page of the motif drops from each first coffer per day to the account and the update takes place at 6 GMT.

✭✭✭✭✭I ran into the same problem. Two coffers opened, over 24 hours apart. Motif from the first, nothing from the second.
My guess is they messed something up and the cooldown is not resetting. (The fact that it has a cooldown in the first place is egregious since the coffer itself has a 7-days-per-character cooldown, but unfortunately that's how this system has worked since 2020.)

A good friend confirmed so and got her 2nd, too. her bf got none, but he dropped first on thrusday,
So the Cooldown seems to be 4 days...

But that was also not the case for previous trials, that had a cooldown (and probably still have ... because the patch notes only talk about DSR coffers).0

The note did say "always", which, if taken at literal face value, would require that there be no cooldown.
