Does the community want Companions to be able to wear helmets from costumes/collectables?

My answer is I don't have a strong opinion either way, but care little about this compared to other things, so I wouldn't want it implemented if it had a negative impact on performance or was prioritized over other things, like improving individual character tracking or allowing me to easily change hair color on my actual characters.

To me picking yes means it's important to me, and picking no means I'm actively against it being developed, so I didn't pick a poll response.
My #1 wish for ESO Today: Decouple achievements from character progress and tracking.

No because I want to quickly and easily recognize a companion from another player.

We can make characters that looks exactly like the companions.
[Lie] Of course! I don't even worship Daedra!

Also ZOS: enjoy 30 of the same companions running around the city.

As opposed to 30 of the same faceless armored drone.

I'd like everyone else's companions to always have a hat/helmet on - ie you can set and see what you want on your companion but everyone else's has their helmet on. It's far more immersion breaking having all these clones walking around everywhere than covering their faces.

I get why they decided no to helmets but, companions in other elder scrolls games could wear helmets and you still knew who they were.

It seems silly that companions are second class citizens, banned from a full set of armor, or a complete costume look. You don't get better companions than Dragon Age: Origins, and I very much enjoyed equipping them as I pleased, including their heads, which seems essential for any true ROLE-PLAYING GAME. My Alistair wore the best armor.

But whatevs, ZOS has a lot of weird ideas.

it would be super neat to see what cool Halloween stuff people could come up with for their companions. too bad they can't participate in drinking from the cauldron or having a cool polymorph.

At least we can see their face, right?

Absolutely, its a bit jarring having 2 of the same companion following us when my wife and I play together. With a helmet we can at least pretend its 2 different ppl.

Absolutely yes, I've wanted this option forever, along with the ability to equip helmets and helms in the outfit slot. It makes no sense RP wise that I cannot let Isobel wear a helm, or let Mirri wear a hood when we're being sneaky.

If it bothers others, then give them a toggle so that "companion helms are never shown" on their own screens. That way, my aesthetic choices can be fulfilled and those who want to quickly identify a companion will get what they want too.

    Legends never die
    They're written down in eternity
But you'll never see the price it costs
The scars collected all their lives
When everything's lost, they pick up their hearts and avenge defeat
Before it all starts, they suffer through harm just to touch a dream
    Oh, pick yourself up, 'cause
    Legends never die

That could still hide helm in conversation / accessing character menu. I’d hide helm sometimes as I do with my characters but other times, a hat or helm. This is the second Witches festival that Mirri will not join in donning a witch hat with my characters. :pensive:

I voted yes because why I can't give companion Hood or Helmet...
And second thing... Why I can't to color costume differently from my character when i want to wear same costume?

Even though I never show my helmet, I am always in favor of having the OPTION available. Just for that one time I want to fully RP.

Yesterday, this one took Bastian to fight some public dungeon bosse for his rapport grind with the Mages Guild.

Other players seemed to have the same idea. Bastians everywhere.

It’d be nice to put a hat/helmet on companions to make them more unique. Also, for events like witches or new life, it’d be so much better to give them witches hat or even circlets and head ornaments so their entire outfit is in tune with the festivities.

Of the people who voted no and posted (we're currently at 80% yes, 19% no), a few of them expressed that they'd still hide the helmets, which would still be an option to do as per the original post, which could slightly tip the scales more in the favor of "yes."

Having different hair features would be nice for companions but I don't think they'd allow character creation-level of choice unless they specifically develop this feature, it'd likely be collectable-related, sort of like putting on tattoos or skins.

As for the math bug (forums issue):
    csj4vlzg5bdq.png

    Current respondents: 188
Votes for "Yes" in this poll: 152 (80.851%)
Votes for "No" in this poll: 36 (19.148%)

I'm sure others are curious of this too as this issue is present on other polls- my guess is that they don't do any rounding and just take whole number values from 0-100.

Like someone said above, it makes sense to be unable to change their features, but it would be nice if they at least could wear a hat, it would bring an outfit together.
