Set that makes sorcerers immortal

The Engine Guardian set spawns a guard every ten seconds and when an enemy tries to hit you, it hits that guard. Most 99 percent of the players first kill the guardian and then start to beat the sorcerer but fail as the guardian reappears. And aiming at a sorcerer during a battle is almost impossible. I have seen undying sorcerers so many times just because of the presence of this set. You literally give the sorcerer an extra 10ka shield every 10 seconds. Of course, you can put this set on any class, but the sorcerer is the most mobile class and this set just works more efficiently on him.

This set shouldn't work like that. You literally can't help but beat the guard. So he still recovers very often.

Solution. Increase the cooldown of this set.Or make it so that this guard cannot be selected with the cursor.
The set gives a large resource recovery and a shield for 10ka health every 10 seconds. He should give one thing but even a 10k shield is too much for pvp. It does not decrease by 2 times due to the fact that this health is a guard. It gives more protection to the sorcerer than any other set.

If you give health to pets, you can also give health to my skeleton mage and ghost. I will take this set and be immortal.

What exactly makes Engine Guardian in your eyes a problem only for sorcerers? Either it is overpowered for every class, or it isn't.

It's not every 10 seconds, It has a 25% chance of activating, you can be left high and dry just as easily if RNG screws you around.

Just Nerf sorc and be done with it. Mag sorc should not even be allowed to wear armor. One staff made of mud and a copper ring. J/K lol

very good question, I say sorcerer and warden has less need for it as they has other pets who can absorb hits.
But I rarely see people using pets or engine guardian in Cyrodil.

How about overpowered sorcs build with assylum shield and sword and infinity shielding / healing and mana ?

May be because sorc can use any resource and convert it to another source with no "-".

As example stamina to mana/mana to stamina. He even heal due to this process.

But I do not know seriosly.

Engine guardian is just good monster set that is annoying in PVP, because you always hit it, but not its user )))

It would be much simpler, if in PVP you can turn of pets or make it untargetable in menu.

Tons of pets really are annoying.

May be this is the real problem.

How much damage do you need to kill an Engine Guardian ?

We should have fought for our village and not have backed down, with our tail between our legs. Is it a reason to kill it ? ) It exist for a very limited time, so I even do not think about such option. I hear that you can bash it, to stop its resource giving, but I think he is fat enough to kill it. It exist to short for that.

Pet builds are a viable way of playing the game. EG is a little dwemer pet. I hate pet builds too, but it's always been an aspect of Elder Scrolls games. There are frustrating things about EG though. I suggest creating the exact build you hate and seeing how limited EG really is.

Not sure how this is a 'sorc' thing. I see all different classes using it in BGs and it's mostly just annoying, which is kinda the point. I think 'immortal' is a bit of a stretch. If I am wrong then I will start using it immediately.

OP said they were having a hard time manually targeting sorc because of "mobility" (Streak).

    yes
    tooltip EG:
When you use an ability that costs resources, you have a 25% chance to summon a Dwemer automation to restore 550 Stamina or Magicka or 1955 Health to you every 0.5 seconds for 6 seconds. This effect can occur once every 10 seconds.

You need to kill within 6 seconds to decrease the total restored and within 3 seconds or so to get a meaningful reduction.

But it all still depends on the amount damage needed.

It's kind of nice seeing them in PvP on certain endeavor days, when you can get "Destroy X amount of Dwemer automatons" simply by DOTing the player.... and when player dies or if the EG timer expires while they are DOTted, it counts.

I actually checked to be sure this wasnt a necro thread from like 2016. Are we really complaining about engine guardian Sorcs being unkillable? Sorcs are bottom tier in PVP right now, and despite what Deltia says, Engine Guardian is trash. A sorc that isnt spec'ed 100% into damage hits like a wet noodle. I might actually uninstall, or at least take a long timeout, if I got killed by an EG sorc in the current meta.

    Also, 2 words: TAB TARGET.

FYI bash builds hard counter players that run Engine Guardian.

Deadlands Demolisher proc automatically interrupts the pet's channel.

Veiled Heritence proc gives 516 weapon and spell damage when you interrupt an enemy.

So not only is the Engine Guardian pet worthless, it also buffs your Power Slam by 8-10% damage.

Yeah, if I was trying to build a Troll Tank, aka an unkillable player, I dont think an EG sorc would even crack the top 100 of things I would try. LOL
