If you are on PC you can use TAB key to lock on to your target.

And I believe on console its R3? I haven't played for a few months so I could have that wrong but I'm 98% sure it is.

Something like that, yeah. I think it's the same joystick as looking around, but I could be wrong.

Yeah, if I was trying to build a Troll Tank, aka an unkillable player, I dont think an EG sorc would even crack the top 100 of things I would try. LOL

to be fair, a tank sorc is pretty difficult in pvp to kill

until you kill the clannfear. Once you kill the clannfear, they become very killable.

Still, the most unkillable thing i've ever seen, hands down, is pre-nerf mara's balm tankcros in Cyrodiil.

Pet builds are a viable way of playing the game. EG is a little dwemer pet. I hate pet builds too, but it's always been an aspect of Elder Scrolls games. There are frustrating things about EG though. I suggest creating the exact build you hate and seeing how limited EG really is.

Problem with pet zoo builds (including targetable proc pets like EG and Chokethorn) in PvP is that every pet is a damage multiplier for a Plaguebreak or Dark Convergence proc. And pet resistances are also added to the player's resistances when calculating damage for Hrothgar's Chill.

Also, enough people who didn't know how to tab target complained about werewolf pet interference that ZOS eventually made them untargetable.

I will concede that the area where a sorc is probably strongest in PVP is a Zoo Sorc in a 1v1 situation, aka a dueling build. They can have good pressure and have 3-4 extra targets to worry about.

When I think troll tank, or unkillable, I am typically thinking about a character with 15 people pounding on them. Sorc defenses scale very badly with multiple attackers.

That said, I am guessing a EG sorc winning a dueling tournament is not a very common occurrence, now or ever.

Wait until you see me with 4-5 pets

    2 main Sorc pets
    Inferno Maw Monster Set
    Mad Tinkerer Set
    Atro Ulti

    Welcome to my Zoo

You forgot to pair with Icy Conjuror for the Ice Wraith as well. I have the 5-piece on my back bar. I buff up, debuff the enemy to proc the Ice Wraith and then switch to front bar to proc Mad Tinkerer as well. Good times.

The Engine Guardian set spawns a guard every ten seconds and when an enemy tries to hit you, it hits that guard. Most 99 percent of the players first kill the guardian and then start to beat the sorcerer but fail as the guardian reappears. And aiming at a sorcerer during a battle is almost impossible. I have seen undying sorcerers so many times just because of the presence of this set. You literally give the sorcerer an extra 10ka shield every 10 seconds. Of course, you can put this set on any class, but the sorcerer is the most mobile class and this set just works more efficiently on him.

This set shouldn't work like that. You literally can't help but beat the guard. So he still recovers very often.

Solution. Increase the cooldown of this set.Or make it so that this guard cannot be selected with the cursor.
The set gives a large resource recovery and a shield for 10ka health every 10 seconds. He should give one thing but even a 10k shield is too much for pvp. It does not decrease by 2 times due to the fact that this health is a guard. It gives more protection to the sorcerer than any other set.

i have a bold suggestion, use the set yourself and see if you become immortal, sorc benefit rather less than other classes from the set because the "beam" breaks at streak

This made me curious, as I've never tried this set on a sorc. So I logged in and put it on, and did some testing. And you are correct. You can't outsprint the automaton, but you can definitely outStreak it. And you do lose the buff effect. But it will catch up to you and reappear if you have stopped within the six second time limit, and it will reapply the buff for the remaining second or so.

I swear people will find any reason to complain about sorcs having any slight ability to live in pvp.

i have been annoyed with this set so many times because i prefer a fast play style and the sorc is also very dependent on streak. in the end i have always used other sets even though engine guardien as such was a good set

Funny that isn't it. The only time sorc got directly complained about in the past year has been in U34 where crystal weapon was overtuned (and it was) and even then, this wasn't heavily talked about until the bow + savage werewolf build became super common later on in the patch.

agreed, Chudan is a better option since it frees up a much-needed bar slot and grants major resolve all the time.

yep, its really difficult to get that buff back too, especially when you're forced to streak more than once to get to cover or put enough distance to allow you to recover properly.
