This thread will be closed for baiting, but Snamyap is right. People who don't care don't speak up. As with any game, suggestions and constructive criticism gives way to less productive things as the level of studio indifference increases.

Complaining about complainers?

As others have pointed out, it's frustrating to engage in polite discussion about the game and be totally ignored at every turn; for years.

Complaining about what bothers us is a good thing, as maybe it gets fixed. At the very least we get it off of our chests, and are able to see if others agree, or maybe even offer solutions.

Even the ideas or things I disagree with, people should be able to post. We all love the game, we all play despite the few things we dislike. We all just love the game differently and from different points of view.

We love the game, now we all just have to love eachother! (and ZOS)

Some people only feel better if they complain a lot. I agree with the OP and try not to post here to much to stay away from these people.

I agree with what you are saying, to a point.

When I started playing a couple years ago this forum was my first stop before playing and often during, while I was queuing for something. I rarely bothered looking at the other subs bcuz there was enough cool stuff on this front page alone I didn't need to look elsewhere.

Over the last year I read and post here less and less and often read other sub forums like housing bcuz while they are less active, there is also a much more enjoyable quality of topic there.

Many, not all, but many of the general forums posts in the last year are just miserable and depressing\frustrating.
I agree with some of them, but when a large number of posts are all ppl complaining about the SAME BLOODY THING, it gets old.
PPL need to vent, especially if they are upset about something they are invested in and just laughing it off becomes quite difficult sometimes. Which is how we get yet another new complaint thread about u35, for example, but it doesn't surprise me that multiples of the same topic get modded and shut down.

Further, if ZOS was reading and had plans to do anything about whatever topic\issue, I feel we would see some kind of acknowledgement. Since we don't, another 100 redundant threads aren't going to make a difference. The logic that "if one person complaining isn't enough a thousand will surely get action" doesn't work here. Best thing to do is search for an already active established thread and add your details to it.
Likely the main reason they consolidate threads or lock and direct ppl to existing ones isn't bcuz they are trying to silence us, or anything dramatic. It's to keep all the data in ONE source, so if they need to reference an issue they have one source of info. Somebody comes to you with a technical problem do you want them to hand you 20 documents that detail the issue, or just one?

Like others have said it really comes down to a simple decision, if you find enjoyment in the game, enjoy those things. If you no longer do then find a game that does bring you joy.
Same with the forum, it's a mental well-being issue. If something has become toxic the healthiest thing you can do is separate yourself from it.

I know I got a bit OT talking about reasons for complaint threads, but this thread is also, in a way, also a complaint thread.
I clicked into your thread, first thing, bypassing tons of others, bcuz of the title.
I had thought it might just be a cool story about something in-game that you experienced, etc.
But it's not.
