People resigning right away is them exploiting a bug?
I ask because someone got into a game with me and quit right away. I thought it was a d/c unloaded screen.
As I typed this, my opponent actually just left.... 10-0.. This one did count as a win while that other one didn't.
Incorrect. They actually did something --> https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/609214/tales-of-tribute-exploit-account-bans ...but it remains to be seen whether or not the fix was ENOUGH (yet) .This bug has been reported for days intensively and they didn't do anything today to fix it.

So far, you are the only person to report (on the forums) that today's hotfix isn't working properly. It would be nice to get a bit more feedback from other players before declaring sarcasm & venom toward @ZOS_ Devs imo.

.
I think the exploit they hot-fixed earlier today is related to this: "We recently discovered an exploit involving Tales of Tribute where performing certain actions would guarantee a win by forcing your opponent to forfeit."
I think the OP is talking about something different. Folks resigning after playing for many minutes, and when they are behind in the score. And the OP is saying the game does not count a resign as a loss.
I'm fine with the game allowing folks to resign in the first few seconds of a game, without it being counted as a loss. I'm not fine with playing for 20 minutes and being ahead in the score, as the OP has posted, and having my opponent resign, and the game doesn't count the resign as their loss.

I said "in last few seconds".
In the beginning it doesn't make much difference. At my account, and most (as I know) when someone quits it doesn't count on the daily quest. So, since it becomes known, many players quit right before the winning player reaches 40, so it doesn't count. It's now happening a lot. Sometimes you spend 20 minutes in the game and when it's almost over, the loser quits and nothing is counted on the daily quest.

I've been disconnected several times toward the ending of games. Perhaps they are being disconnected? Others have been facing issues with d/c or blank boards, too. I have a thread opened in the ToT forum section.

Did it even occur to you that people might not be aware that resigning won't count as a win to the other player and just concede the match when they see they are clearly losing to not waste time -- as it is pretty customary in every single card game?
Not quite often, but like in 20% .. 30% in my humble experience.
What else would you expect? Fair play? Please, don't be naive.
There are always some players, who feel happier when they skrew others in ANY mmo, ESO included.
I also don't like it, but how do you change random strangers' manners?
Not the ESO issue, but just players' psychology. No countermeasures available, i am afraid.

In this case it is an ESO issue, and it's very easy to solve.
They just need to start counting a resign as a loss, like in any other game.
So... this mess continues to happen...
This was my first game today. I was already expecting it, it's always the same thing and ZOS is the only one to blame for not fixing this issue that let losing players to penalize the winners. Some says that it might be a loss of connection. But this time I decided to contact the loser and he was online. Very funny. This might be the only game I ever played that a resignation of an opponent counts as a tie. Really pathetic.

Sort of here--> https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/comment/7638813/#Comment_7638813 ...and also in this sticky thread: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/609214/tales-of-tribute-exploit-account-bans ...but as another player pointed out to me above ^ , that was a somewhat different issue/situation and they (Zenimax) haven't followed-up yet nor elaborated on any future plans/fixes.. Have they even acknowledged the leaderboard issues or how conceding works rn?
