I have reported one person that threatened to report me and then he did...so I reported him for threatening to report me for nothing...Not sure why you are still arguing with people that have issues that don't effect you, just doesn't make any sense if you have zero problems with the game.

And if your 500 man guild hasn't heard of the grouping bug then I highly doubt they spend much time in Cyrodiil...Sorry

I dont have zero problems with the game strawman. I just dont let it consume me. I am a reasonable person who knows MMOs take a good 6 months to a year before everything is worked out.

Yeah when they are Free-To-Play LOL
Guess you don't know as much as you thought

And don't let it consume you...you are here starting trouble with people with real issues, I disagree sir

FYI my first major issue was getting locked out of the game a month ago and after twelve hours of zero response from CS, I come to forums and FB to get some answers only to be insulted and called a cheater for the companies mistake...so yeah I get consumed by people that will just accuse and insult people instead of letting them get the HELP they need!

    understand a bit better? @jamesharv2005ub17_ESO

But you have no problem coming in and telling people their problems are "very very very minor" or otherwise unimportant. To you? Perhaps. But to those players, the problems they encounter directly affect their entire game experience. It is in ZOS's best interest to try to fix said problems, and while one can delude themselves into thinking "oh well it will all be fine in 6-12 months", that does nothing to even attempt to alleviate the concerns of the players who exist now, today, who may not have even gotten acknowledgement that the problem they have encountered was even recognized, let alone being looked into.

Coming in and repeatedly trashing and belittling other players for having problems because you "don't like seeing all the negativity" doesn't make you a reasonable person, it makes you a middling troll, not even high quality. If you have nothing to contribute to such conversations beyond "your problems don't matter, all games have problems, it works fine for me", you serve yourself and the community at large best by stopping yourself before you post, rather than coming in and aggravating the situation and antagonizing the other members of the community who have issues into quitting outright rather than seeking actual solutions to their problems, let alone recognition from ZOS that the problem is being looked at.

Its pretty simple. It says you must have an active sub. If you cancelled you do not have an active sub. These free days are for paying customers. Not people who just want a few extra days before they quit.
I suggest you read the notation.

As long as you can open your account page and see days remaining, you have an active account.

FTR... I fully support every word of @GreySix and his spouse on the matter.

I just wished it was cleared it up for us by a Mod, but I think this poster has resolved the issue for us

I linked earlier, but it got missed in the other post flood - per the AUA, quote directly from ZOS_GinaBruno - http://www.reddit.com/r/elderscrollsonline/comments/24g5zq/free_5_days_for_the_problems/ch72plv?context=3

Anyone, including those who canceled, will get the 5 bonus days.

Like I said above I am in a large end game guild with multiple v10s. I have played in the pvp area alot since I hit vet rank. Noone has these problems. They must be a very very very minor part of the population. Not that it isnt important but tracking down something like this takes time and they have a bunch of other stuff to do as well. So huffing and puffing you are quitting etc every 5 mins doesnt make it get fixed any faster.

Then while you have been playing in your Team of V10 that Exploited to get there, you haven't noticed all the talk in zone chat regarding this very issue.

    Please don't Troll :pensive:

Meh I left, no amount of free days will be good enough to lure me back in, I will just wait till they get their crap together and manage to get a handle on the issues, IF that happens in a few months I might sneak back in, if any upcoming MMO's don't snag my interest first, I mean come on, Black Desert....wildstar...Hell even Destiny...just another buck dropped into the good ole MMO bucket ha.

At least I still look forward to my letters from my miner hireling...she is so funny!
But with so much work on new stuff for the PvE community and not even being able to level or make money for ourselves let alone fix the major bugs just tells me what to expect for the future...PvE games add PvP for a reason

Hey there, everyone. We just want to clarify that if you cancelled your subscription within the first 30 days of included time, you will still receive the five additional days of complimentary time. You'll just need to log back into the game to take advantage of that extra time. Don't forget to always check our searchable knowledge base for any questions you may have. I dont get it. If you cancelled tho most likely you will not get the free 5 days.
How do you see that? All you have to do is purchase the game and have an active account.

it has absolutely nothing to do with one hating the game. In fact, it can be argued that one loves the game so much that they are passionate enough to express their discontent on issues that will prevent them from actually playing a game that is part of a series they have grown to endure over the past 10+ years.

The latest patch update address some if not most of the issues that they are disgruntled about. I'd dare say some of them are more passionate and have an immense love for the game than a large percentage of the existing player base.

Its pretty simple. It says you must have an active sub. If you cancelled you do not have an active sub. These free days are for paying customers. Not people who just want a few extra days before they quit.

If they decide that some customers are more equal than others in terms of being recompensed for lost time that said customers paid for by buying the game, they will insure that a whole bunch of on-the-fence folks don't resubscribe.

You may think there are only two camps of people... people who are going to subscribe no matter what, and people who are going to quit no matter what. You would be wrong - there is a 3rd camp of people who will decide their subscription status based on how well ZeniMax sorts out their various gameplay and customer service failures.

There are two camps of people you are right. One accepts that there will be bumps in the road and enjoy the overall focus and direction of the game. The other camp expects them to completely re-write the game from scratch and change every aspect of it. Those people are unreasonable and an extra 5 days isnt going to make a difference. Yet they insist on using that time to flood the forums with posts like "You never communicate!" and "I dont like how grouping works and phasing so redo the entire game!".

They arent going to get rid of phasing or change fundamental aspects of the game. If you dont like those then you dont like the game. If you dont like the game an extra 5 days isnt going to make you like it. People like me are very happy because I wont get billed for the time I was unable to play.

I have no problem with the Bugs, I expected bugs.
But I consider my subscription an investment in a game, currently Customer Service has not given me the confidence to believe in their product. So I unsubscribed.
You may believe that a company should not engage their customers, but I happen to believe it's one of the most important thing for them to do. When you have numerous threads about what a large proportion of the Forum community see as a huge issue and Zenimax fail to address or even acknowledge the issue, it shows a huge contempt for their customer (this is not intended but this is the result). It's for this reason you see so many threads saying communicate with us, its a plea from the community for Zenimax to be pro-active.

The Phasing issue is to do with a fundemental part of MMO's i.e. the ability to play together, thankfully Zenimax have said they are going to address this.

People highlighting issues is an important process of polishing a game, if you really wanted this game to shine, you would applaud the people who would ask for something better.

I honestly believe that ESO is a wonderful game, but currently it has huge bugs (yes, I know they will be fixed) for a user in the EU the latency is an issue, especially in PVP, where at times it's unplayable and other times unenterable...

Hopefully in the extra 5 days they will give me a good reason to re-subscribe.....

I read about one guy that had 22 tickets in on his quest block. And we wonder why customer service is flooded. 22 tickets submitted on one issue. *sigh*. Those are the people that will never be happy.

I think this is more to do with Customer Services not answering correctly, you only have to look at the know issues to see that they only list a tiny proportion of issues.
In my opinion from the responses from bug reports and responses or lack thereof on the forum, it's pointless reporting anything!
People who refuse to admit there are issues and bury their heads in the sand do this game no favours.
Someone mentioned the Bioware forum, they list every issue. And it's rare to see multiple threads regarding bugs. It's all about their cash shop!

    Hey @ZOS_JasonL,

You mean, one would have to log back in "after" their 30 days has expired to start the 5 day extra?

The initial posting from Matt says these extra days will be sent out within 72 hrs from 8 PM Eastern. The first 30 days expires ~40 hrs after that.

Some people here seem to forget that cancelling your subscription is a way to speak up. If you are unsatisfied with how the game is, you dont want to pay for it until the issues are fixed.

There where some seriously big bugs that broke the game for some people. Bank resetting and loosing a ton of gold and items can be frustrating enough to make someone cancel their sub. Then there was the permanent frost dmg debuff bug that made some characters unplayable, again enough to make some people cancel their sub.

Costumer service has not always been good at handling these serious issues. I personally must say that costumer service sucks massive balls until you get hold of an actuall person who knows what he is doing. Toke me two weeks to get through the "mud crabs infested server auto responses" until i got the help i needed. But once i got help to the right person was he was really helpfull

This is the first I've even heard of it. I've already cancelled my sub as I was waiting to see how the gave evolves by month end before committing to any more time to this game.
If they do go ahead and give 5 extra days to everyone, I might resub after all. If they did hypothetically miss out people who had cancelled already... well, I wouldn't come back, that's for sure.

I think they are selective, maybe they give in selected countries. I have an active account, they are about to get the money tomorrow from my card, but they haven't added me these 5 days.

Either ways, I was one of the victims, in the early access, when the launcher deleted all the game and forced me to add a sub plan, so I lost 1 day downloading again the whole game and before the early access ends, their system activated my sub and I lost the extra 2-3 days they gave for the early access..

hmmmm Swtor makes some nice offering for all the subscribers. I am thinking of it...

If I choose not to pay them tomorrow, then I will pause the game till they :

    1) give us EU servers
    2) Fix the economy, right now people are forced to join guilds and bind our acc with guilds.
    3) balance some things.
    4) And fix the HIGH end gpu bug u got, we play with 20-30 fps... While low end cards, play 3-4 times better performance. I dont have a low end card, I picked a very expensive one and I cannot enjoy the way it should be.
I will decide today... what I am about to do...

It's somewhat funny. Given the fact the game is not complete (bugs, bots, spammers, etc.), everyone who had pre-purchased the product has an active account beyond May 1st. Also the opt out for subscriptions is not very customer friendly (should have opt in instead).....this 5 extra days should be available to everyone.

In all honesty I feel I have not quit the game and will continue to play but I am unwilling to pay a subscription for an incomplete product. I believe Zenimax have released a game which quit on the (non fanboy) customers causing us to hold back payment of subscriptions.

During the harsh economic downturn things were really bad at Company A. So bad in fact, that many people left Company A and moved on to greener pastures. When things started to look up for Company A, they decided to give all the employees who stuck with them through the hard times a bonus payment.

Then, all of the people who quit the company during the hard times demanded the bonus payment as well.

    Yeah I know, ridiculous, right??

Will the 5 days apply if we cancelled, then resigned up before 8:00 pm 5/1? That's what I did, and it said something about having an active membership before that time/date but I'm not seeing my 5 free days applied to my account.

What is the date that the 5 days extends the first month to? Is it 5/7/14?
