I'd recommend you shed some of that bitterness. It isn't healthy.

What isnt healthy is playing a game you do not like or flooding the forums with negativity. Now I get to listen to it for another 5 days. Ah well after that we will finally get some peace around here and get help with actual problems.

So you come into a forum for people wondering if they will get the five days even though you have it and complain about getting peace because you want don't to argue with them?

And many people in CS are because they have unresolved problems and why they un-subbed in first place

I realize there is an issue with flooding the mantel with redundant threads. But that's with any given topic and not just crit threads. However, no one is forcing me to open and then actually read them.

... at least in my immediate environment. I cannot testify to the abusive protocol in forum inmate holding facilities. I'd imagine it gets pretty rough.

I dont get it. If you cancelled tho most likely you will not get the free 5 days.
How do you see that? All you have to do is purchase the game and have an active account.

it has absolutely nothing to do with one hating the game. In fact, it can be argued that one loves the game so much that they are passionate enough to express their discontent on issues that will prevent them from actually playing a game that is part of a series they have grown to endure over the past 10+ years.

The latest patch update address some if not most of the issues that they are disgruntled about. I'd dare say some of them are more passionate and have an immense love for the game than a large percentage of the existing player base.

Its pretty simple. It says you must have an active sub. If you cancelled you do not have an active sub. These free days are for paying customers. Not people who just want a few extra days before they quit.

If they decide that some customers are more equal than others in terms of being recompensed for lost time that said customers paid for by buying the game, they will insure that a whole bunch of on-the-fence folks don't resubscribe.

You may think there are only two camps of people... people who are going to subscribe no matter what, and people who are going to quit no matter what. You would be wrong - there is a 3rd camp of people who will decide their subscription status based on how well ZeniMax sorts out their various gameplay and customer service failures.

There are two camps of people you are right. One accepts that there will be bumps in the road and enjoy the overall focus and direction of the game. The other camp expects them to completely re-write the game from scratch and change every aspect of it. Those people are unreasonable and an extra 5 days isnt going to make a difference. Yet they insist on using that time to flood the forums with posts like "You never communicate!" and "I dont like how grouping works and phasing so redo the entire game!".

They arent going to get rid of phasing or change fundamental aspects of the game. If you dont like those then you dont like the game. If you dont like the game an extra 5 days isnt going to make you like it. People like me are very happy because I wont get billed for the time I was unable to play.

As far as I know noone has gotten the free days yet. The deadline isnt even up. "Problems" with the game here are some examples. one guy wants them to get rid of phasing. Another wants them to put in open pvp. These are the people Im talking about. Also the people who have been told hey a quest is bugged we are working on it and act like there is literally nothing to do in the game for them.

If a quest is bugged move on. If its something stopping this particular character from moving on make a new character. Do some crafting on your current character. Go out collect skyshards. Instead they sit and spew venom all day on the forums.

Still sticking with that falsehood, even after I'd corrected you?
... or flooding the forums with negativity.
What negativity? I'd posted very legitimate reasons for unsubscribing to this game, including reasons I'd be resuming the subscription. You seem to read a great deal into things that aren't there.
Now I get to listen to it for another 5 days.
You seem to be the one filled with negativity here.
Ah well after that we will finally get some peace around here and get help with actual problems.
So you really believe you'll see only positive commentary about the game at that point? Are you new to online gaming?

Again - you are wrong. I don't ascribe to either of your camps, and I will decide whether to resubscribe this weekend. As will my husband. And it will be based on how well we feel ZeniMax has addressed what has already happened, how positive we feel about what they've posted in their Road Ahead plan, and how much current unfixed issues are affecting our gameplay. You can disbelieve it all you want. It won't change the actual reality of how it is going to play out at our house.

The amusing part of this is that you are wrong. The devs actually are listening to some of the complaints and feedback, and making changes they stated in the past they had no intention of doing. As of the AUA this afternoon, it's official, we are getting optional chat bubbles, which are up and running on the internal test servers, and should be pushed live in the not-too-distant future. This is something a mere month ago they said they had no intention of doing, and the addon API could not get to function properly because of the lack of ability to pin the bubbles to specific players.

Noone is saying things shouldnt be fixed. What I am saying is you shouldnt sit here all day every day (like you do from your post history) and bash them incessantly. PVP is but one part of a huge game. They will work on it when they can. You going around saying all these hateful things about them just makes everyone not even want to use the forums.

Seriously this is the most spoiled, self entitled and bratty community I have ever been involved with. Its only the forums tho. In the game everyone is nice and enjoying themselves for the most part.

To be fair, if you got some of the replies from the CS staff that I have, completely unrelated to the issue being brought up, you might file some new tickets in hopes of getting a real person to reply instead of one of the dozen or so automated bots they are using to copy/paste based on a few select keywords.

I have played SWTOR since beta and while you are correct there was some of this type of thing it really didnt get bad until free to play happened. I havent used the swtor forums in about a year because of it. I still play it tho still pay per month.

I don't think anyone can disagree with that. It is those few that are among the masses and sadly it is that small group that everyone else, with anything negative to say about the game be that constructive or otherwise, is getting thrown into. Just because you have concern or even haven't committed to a revolving plan does not automatically make you apart of that minority.

Lots of black-and-white fallacies going on in here. There aren't two camps, sharply divided, including those who love the game and those who hate it.

Last I checked, you couldn't post in this forum unless you forked over very real money to play this game. We all wanted to see ESO successful, or we'd have not paid for the game in the first place.

Absolutely agreed. I am a pretty harsh critic of the game in most places, here included, but despite knowing much of what was wrong throughout the beta phases, I still picked the game up because I saw the potential in it. I have been really borderline on renewal, though seeing ZOS take the rather unexpected step of giving *everyone* this 5 extra days, despite the total downtime not coming close to that shows me they do realize they have made some mistakes and are willing to eat something of a loss (5 days x $0.50/day = $2.50 x however many accounts total, I have seen variable guesses from 500k-1.5m) just to make it up to their customer base.

They also showed, as of the "road ahead" post and the AUA, that they are listening to what people are discussing and complaining about, and making active changes, including some things they stated early on they were not going to spend any time on. This tells me that while they may not have their *** together now, they realize what must be done to keep the game alive and moving forward, and keep folks subscribed (even cynical *** like me).

Grouping in PvP can cause many players to get forcefully booted offline, either to character select, to login, or a full CTD. This has been an ongoing issue since early access. Not everyone is affected by it, but if you get in a large group in Cyrodiil, you can regularly see part of your group listed as offline for no obvious reason - this is why.

Once? Who ever said once? I said earlier TODAY I was in cyrodil noone on vent complained about not being able to group. I am in a guild with almost 500 people in it. Most of them pvp. So ya I know you keep wanting to bait people into saying something so you can clikc your report button but im not biting. You can be rude as you want and assume everything you want (like i only been to the pvp area once lol).

Grouping is still broken in Cyrodiil...not just an issue on how it works so if your game runs fine no need to argue with The Camp of Players that just wants basic things fixed!

Lol...you arguing with people that have paid and having issues is one of the most hypocritical things I have seen. Just go play your working game and leave people with problems alone. Such Little Kids here think they own the forums and want to silence people with REAL problems

What "real" problem are you having?
Are you going to help me since Zeni has ignored me for weeks...or are you just trying to keep up this foolish charade?

Id just like to know what are "real" problems.

The ability to be able to group in PvP in an MMO is a REAL problem...or did all the other successful MMO get it wrong over last seven years?

Not going to get into the THOUSANDS of other bugs or problems

Huh I was grouped up in pvp earlier today. I dont understand.

Like I said above I am in a large end game guild with multiple v10s. I have played in the pvp area alot since I hit vet rank. Noone has these problems. They must be a very very very minor part of the population. Not that it isnt important but tracking down something like this takes time and they have a bunch of other stuff to do as well. So huffing and puffing you are quitting etc every 5 mins doesnt make it get fixed any faster.
