The constant problems i have had since day one , and nerfs... i can't handle dps anymore, i am tired, and i feel like i have no value.

Has a healer i can do vet dlc dungeons, i can do trials, i don't need parses and i have some value.

But i have no idea what class to chose... also is tanking easier than healing? should i tank instead? which one is more expensive to build?

OP if you want to do Vet dungeons and trials, go Warden. I love templars, don't get me wrong, but wardens bring way more to the group than templars do these days.

Sorc healer is good for dungeons. You can go 80% damage 20% heals and keep group alive with Matriarch.

I don't recommend Sorc healer for PvP. Extremely difficult. Many quality of life issues.

healing is fun but stressful for me, i get miffed when with dps stand in stupid and die, then make pissy comments like 'i guess i should slot a self heal'

tanking dungeons can be a blast - fun to just play the game and not worry as much about keeping dps alive ;)

I like either https://arzyelbuilds.com/ or https://dottzgaming.com/eso-builds/ to look at builds. I usually end up changing them some (not always for the better) to fit a bit better how I play.

I have Templar and Warden healers. Both work for any content in the game. Some elite groups trying for perfect runs prefer one over the other for group dynamics but if you aren't running to get on the leader board or something like that Templar and Warden both do everything a group needs.
Cool thing is you can try both.

which one is the easiest for trials and for dungeons? esiest to play? Like requiring less heavy attacks to fill resources again, etc.
I really dislike doing heavy attacks in general
do healers have to weave light attacks btw skills?

Its really easy once you get used to it, necrotic potency is also amazing in trials and dungeons because you can have your ult back really fast. The class itself and aesthetic is by far my favorite. Because of colossus you will almost always have a place in a comp too. If you need to help out with damage you can slot blast bones, skeletal arcanist, and or boneyard along with your heals. 12/10 class.
I made mine a high elf because they are great for damage and healing in case you ever go back to DPS. They can even be okay tanks (but not as good as imperial or argonian).

Healing is also getting nerfs. And tanking is hardest role of them all if we're talking about vet trials.
Templar and Warden are the most popular healer classes, can't go wrong with either of them.

this is where the quote "I can't heal Stupid" comes from. 100% agreed, you will get a lot of slack for dps dying even though they stand in all the AOEs

    Dark Elf or Breton Warden.

Wardens have excellent area-of-effect healing spells that Templars don't have.

Dark Elves have a natural resistance to fire, which is quite useful in a lot of dungeons and trials. Also, the small amount of stamina they have means you'll be able to run after the group easily in dungeons.

Bretons have great magicka sustain and spell resistance. Can't run, though, so trying to keep up with a group that speeds through dungeons is a little harder (but only a little bit).

Warden if you like proactive management, templar for reactive stuff. Necro is also very strong but needs good management. Trial groups generally want two different classes for heals for the right buff mixes. All of this is of course may be irrelevant because the update changes are so big we've got no idea what will make sense yet 8)

I don't find tanking that hard. It's certainly more fun than most DPS roles where you stand like a lemon pressing 14 buttons repeatedly in exactly the right order and timing then do it again and agian for each boss. Some of the DLC content and certainly some of the trials isn't something you do without practicing with a group but it's no harder than learning the dps roles.

Regardless of what you do I would make a healer and tank and do a bit of both. It will improve your performance as a DPS because you'll have that extra chunk of insight into what the healers and tank need or are doing at a given point.

Healing is good times, it is my favorite role though I almost always give it up to tank or dps because its tough for me to do and lead. But as far as the most fun role when there is someone better to lead, ahh, so nice.

I dig templars, but I don’t know the warden toolkit as well and do reckon they have more utility. Can’t go wrong with either, and I’d frankly base the choice on aesthetics for the first one and wind up making both if you dig the role. Golden glowies or flowers and such

—edit Far as tanking, helps to know the content going into pretty well as its the most natural role to direct traffic from, and in a shared knowledge vacuum you’ll most often make some kind of call. I find it more stressful overall, but easier mechanically

@francesinhalover as an ESO healer I recommend the Healers Haven discord to get up to speed on the ins and outs of ESO healing. Great people who actually answer questions are there https://discord.gg/xeStnXvx

Now to the crux of your question, I main a Templar healer but I have a secondary main as a Warden because as someone else says they tend to bring more to the table these days for group utility. In fact I have a healer of every class just to ensure I can flex for group comp so that may be a long term goal for you if you like healing. I'd personally recommend using a warden healer as they have a lot of utility and strong heals, I'd recommend Breton as your race and the Ritual mundus stone. Sets are an in depth discussion that are covered well on the discord.

Templar is by far and away the easiest class to play as a healer. They have access to TWO different syngergy abilities that are vital for end game (Shard AND Orbs), their heals are the easiest to use since they have less directional heals, and their overall healing power is very strong.

The downside is that templars bring less in terms of group buffs than either the warden or the necro, but again, they are also the easiest to use. You'll probably never get turned down for even high-end groups for healing just because you are a templar, but you do have to be aware that you should be bringing more to the group than just healing reliability.

Go with the class that visually is most appealing.

Balance and meta sway, may as well run the healer you think mechanics and aesthetically fun.

Warden the best class but can suck for newcomers and dungeons , very fun on battlegrounds

    Sorc smart heals

NB lots of damage and giving people penetration

Dk - if you like be the worst class

    Necro - lots of timers

Templar - outdated, but easy to use with wide area heal. Great for pvp large battles

    In conclusion anything but dk

I can't speak for trials, but in vet dungeons, Wardens and Necromancers are both harder to manage than any of the other classes. Wardens have a lot of aimed heals, while Necromancers have to manage their corpses. All of the other classes are more mechanically forgiving.

On the other hand, Wardens and Necromancers also provide the most group utility, so there's a tradeoff.
