Why LA is not an autoattack?

    Vaoh we had pets and sets for ages. Xbox bots are prime example of how easy is it to kill overland without taking aim. It doesn't change a thing in harder content, which is about mechanics and coordination.

    Sorc pets/proc sets are passive damage. Light attacks are a core aspect of combat that the player engages with and are a staple of TES games. No, I would never want light attacks to be automated.

    I’m not sure I understand why anyone would want this either unless if pushing world record trial scores. In the end I’m playing ESO and I want to have fun..... for me, having the game play itself is not fun. I could also say the same about doing 20+ lava whips in a row in rotations next patch though lol.

    So ... this patch is really not some thing that i want to see on live in the current form )

    If ZOS buff companions power by the way it will be good to ))

    If they just add spammable with no calldown for them it already would be good )))

    I think you are conflating the LA/HA flat damage change with the huge nerfs some skills are receiving in U35. They are separate things.

    If they made LA automatic tomorrow they would still be going through with all the other nerfs anyway. Why would you think otherwise?

    If LA were automatic why would they even exist? High end groups would be required to use it since it would be baked into the games expectations for overall damage, so making it optional doesn't solve anything. Might as well just add LA to the skill GCD to eliminate weaving and call it a day.

    What the game needs is a simple tutorial that highlights the advantages of weaving a LA at the start of every skill so people know that it exists and can practice it for a few minutes.

    I agree that LA should be automatic, the speed of LA and the animation cancelling has always made the gameplay look ugly. LA doesn´t feel impactful, they carry no weight, its like throwing ping pong balls at my opponent. I feel like seeing a Crystal Fragment or Flame Skull fully animate is more satisfactory.

    I feel like automatic light attacks on your selected Tab Targeted enemy has always been the answer. Since its been a part of the game for so long, any changes they try to make won´t really become viable until around 10 updates of working on changing the combat.

    Realistically somebody could run away from you in PvP while turning around and light attacking you on cooldown, that is very high APM, but it is also ridiculous.

    HA now is just destroyed ))) So for me this patch is not good change at all ))

    So I'm trying to understand the argument, ESO is an Action MMO but you want to add in an Auto Swinger? I don't think that would be a good change at all and would lead to even more complacent changes, why not just add a Bot Mode for Farming Resources, or Auto-Path to your Objective.

    I just think Auto Anything goes against the core combat of ESO. I wouldn't ever take the interaction out of an Action MMO, I've got Arthritis in my wrists and Ulnar Nerve Damage in my mouse hand and I can still Light Weave, it sometimes hurts like hell so I switch to controller, but the capability is there. Some people have it worse than I do, but in that circumstance I would suggest going controller full time or maybe getting a mouse that you can remap easier to.

    I does feel like this game wants you to develop a repetitive stress injury just to get middling DPS.

    That would have the same effect as removing light attacks entirely.

    Removing light attack weaving entirely is actually a great idea.
    It would make combat slow and dull. The GCD of one button press per second is not engaging enough for fast-paced action combat.

    You are forgetting about the mandatory bar swap and intermittent pots on CD. Not to mention dodging, blocking, and movement as mechanics require.

    Don't worry my bet is Update 35 auto attack and 5s cooldown per ability slot.
