I think some folks delayed subbing because they didn't want their 30 days to be during the initial, possibly problematic month, but did pre-order for the bonuses. I think those are the folks who would need to subscribe by tonight to get the free time.
This thread and many others have been going on without any word from ZoS...so either they are trying to get us to fight or I believe it is going to happen that way.
If this was a thread about being unjustly punished for nothing (which happens a lot)...it would have been closed a long time ago.
They are hoping we remain productive with our discussions, so far this one is not bad but we are starting to get off topic. This tread is not about people's options on the launch, CS, or ZOS. It is to help inform people With questions or worries about the free 5 days.

I'll stop you right there, since everything else you posted is built upon this rubbish. Not all who are cancelling their subscriptions "hate" the game.
My wife and I are cancelling, but it isn't because we "hate" the game. There are things we want to see fixed in the game, before we continue paying to play it. Once those issues have been addressed, we fully intend to re-subscribe.
Now, you can continue...

Certainly not. My wife and I will continue to conduct side quests that don't pull us out of group during the extra five days of play.

How do you see that? All you have to do is purchase the game and have an active account.jamesharv2005ub17_ESO wrote: »I dont get it. If you cancelled tho most likely you will not get the free 5 days.

it has absolutely nothing to do with one hating the game. In fact, it can be argued that one loves the game so much that they are passionate enough to express their discontent on issues that will prevent them from actually playing a game that is part of a series they have grown to endure over the past 10+ years.
The latest patch update address some if not most of the issues that they are disgruntled about. I'd dare say some of them are more passionate and have an immense love for the game than a large percentage of the existing player base.
I suggest you read the notation.jamesharv2005ub17_ESO wrote: »Its pretty simple. It says you must have an active sub. If you cancelled you do not have an active sub. These free days are for paying customers. Not people who just want a few extra days before they quit.

As long as you can open your account page and see days remaining, you have an active account.
FTR... I fully support every word of @GreySix and his spouse on the matter.
I'd recommend you shed some of that bitterness. It isn't healthy.jamesharv2005ub17_ESO wrote: »Personally I am kinda upset about it. I haven't gotten the e-mail yet, and frankly if I don't I won't be too upset. I haven't let the negativity on these forums make me hate ESO. To be honest, I think a lot of people who have decided to hate this game have done so because they don't understand MMOs or have been swayed by reports of problems here. I honestly believe a good number of these people would be totally unhappy if a few people weren't constantly bashing the game in the forums. Instead, they see a relative few people having problems and they start internalizing it, thinking the game is as bad as some people make it out to be. Advice: if you really aren't having a horrible experience in game but are starting to dislike it, try avoiding the forums for a while and see if you feel better.
And please, explain better - why couldn't you play the game because of the bank bug? I never heard of it actually blocking people from logging in.

What isnt healthy is playing a game you do not like or flooding the forums with negativity. Now I get to listen to it for another 5 days. Ah well after that we will finally get some peace around here and get help with actual problems.
