Wait her rapport increases from entering the thieves guild HQ and doing heists but she doesn't like stealing....??
Somehow I feel that companions voices are extensions of their backstories.
Mirri is anxious, occasionally passive-aggressive and not easy to get along with, but she is agreeable (so she says). She is, however, very capable with the right build.
Bastian is good to the point of being too good, but he does ask you if you're alright after a fight. He is a good match for a lawful good character.
Isobel (my current favourite) is a knight. What's not to like. My lawful good Templar has put Baz on the bench for her atm.
Ember is a breath of fresh air. I for one like the absence of classic Khajiit dialect and phrasing as I feel that that would be rather cliché. She is what she is, rather young and very enthusiastic. Well done!
Ember is however an enigma to me. With her racial passives one will try to do a classic two dagger approach as she might be a mage now but an assassin she might be.

Mirri is posh and bookish. Her problem is that her damaging class abilities are all single target melee minus the ultimate and (according to nightblade mains ive spoken to) they gave her most of the worst abilities from the shadow and siphon trees. Most admit her Twilight Mantle got both morphs players have access to which is nice, but is hampered by the fact that its only activated at below 50% HP which makes the stealth semi redundant considering how most nightblades use both morphs in very different strategies.
Haven't played around with Bastian yet but yeah he's definitely a puritan and his skills are clunkier than Isobel's it seems which is why most prefer her over Bastian to tank. His potion skill also strikes me as extemely useless unless they're better than the ones master alchemist players can craft but again i haven't played with him much and like Mirri probably in need of a skill overhaul.

I suggest looking up real life differences in vocal anatomy. Frankly, even between cats it is rather pronounced, where great cats can roar but can't purr, whereas small cats, vice versa.
So yes, they ARE born with accents.
Her VA is literally not Khajiit like on purpose. When you place her as a houseguest , she actually say "People think it's strange that I don't talk like other Khajiit. I mean... I could try ! This one, that one, you one, me one. How's that ?"

Why are you bringing up real life vocal anatomy in a fictional game? Even so your examples are not even about accents.
In that case no character in game should have a health bar, we should get fractures when we fall from height or blocking heavy blows from monsters, you know real life anatomy involves bones.

Remember that Khajiit we helped in Wrothgar? He was basically an Orc in a Khajiit body, his speech, culture, even his clothing were Orcish in mannor. He was raised that way as a very small child.

Maybe someone has mentioned but there is also a Khajiit in Reapers March main questline (where you may have to decide a particular favorite Khajiits fate...kinda...to proceed) who speaks with "I" instead of "this one".

I much prefer her voice as it is!
