Judging by the wording for the patch notes it doesn’t seem that console is going to get any of these options at all which is just sad. As it says specifically for mac/pc/stadia

Yes, I was super excited about this. I use 5 dif pots for pvp, so I can't slot much siege, and of course getting out of combat is not really an option.

Please let us disable it, I pulled it up to switch from my seige to a potion and it got stuck, so I was fighting someone and light attacking and it was switching the wheel

I don't need extra slots for emotes or tools I'll never use in PVP

I would take it if they just remove the "In combat" check when we try to swap things around on quick slot.

It is so annoying not to be able to slot oils when you really need them or swap repair kits.

On console, my PvP toon has nothing but siege on the quickslot wheel. All slots.

When she needs food I dig into her inventory.

Sure could use some help. I need lots of different types of siege and they don’t stack, so I can only carry a few of each. With that and the tons of transmute geodes I try not to destroy, her inventory is a mess.

My food always runs out during a fight, hence the need to quick slot it.

Another classic of the well-known cycle:
    - ZOS has a good idea.
    - They have addons trying to implement that idea that they could check.
    - They manage to code something that _looks_ like it'll be a useful QoL feature.
    - Immediately before the finish line, they take a detour to make their new feature less useful than it could be.
    - Leaving us with wasted potential, lots of avoidable angry feedback, and a worse implementation than addon hacks.

    Really, every time.

It would be nice if I could, but I need those siege and I don’t have the time to sort through my slottables to find one if it’s not on the wheel.

On the other hand, I can leave the slottables set to my food and quickly hit that when I need to.

EDIT: “slottables” meaning the section in my inventory with that subsection name

If you can't do freewheeling, just add a siegeweheel in the next patch. Easy?

im on console so i havent had any experience yet with the quick slot wheel. It was a feature i was actually looking forward too. Does this mean there is also no additional wheel for treasure maps, survey maps, food and drinks? Or do treasure maps go into tools?

I am a little dissapointed with the expansion before it even came out (for console)
the two things i personally looked forward to in the new chapter dont seem to exist.
    - more quick slots for potions and maps
    - an achievement house after doing all zone quests.

Nah, the only things you can put into tools are those things classified as "tools" in your collectibles - so the anniversary cakes, the antiquarian's eye, the relic of the sentinel from BDV, etc.
Please let us disable it, I pulled it up to switch from my seige to a potion and it got stuck, so I was fighting someone and light attacking and it was switching the wheel

Same thing happened to me yesterday, wanted to put up a forward camp in combat and then just got stuck in one of the extra wheels I can't use in Cyrodiil when I wanted to block  Really wish we could just disable them.

I've seen someone mention being able to unbind it from keybinds, but I haven't found that option anywhere - does anyone know where it might be?

They probably think it's more balanced to make you choose which siege you want to be able to use. But in actuality I imagine (because I'm not a pvper) that most pvpers just find it a hassle to repair things instead. They should really have made a quickslot wheel for just siege at the very least.

    Have the following wheels

    Anything (Quick Access)

    Consumables
    Siege
    Emotes
    Allies
    Tools
    Mementos
    Outfits/Costumes

It's under "controls" after you press esc. It's near the bottom of the list. But if you unbind them, you get a giant on screen message that says "not bound" for each wheel, so I bound them to left and right arrow keys to make message smaller, but it's still annoying. We need to be able to disable them all together or use them for actually functional items that need to be accessed quickly. Emotes and tools do not need to be accessed quickly.

I have been playing around with the new quickslot features and I, too, just don't get it. I'm glad I'm on PC as maybe modders can make it more useful but that doesn't help everyone.

To me the oddest choice of all is how we have to go to Collections to populate the additional wheels but for the main wheel we still must use the old way. So much so that I'm actually thinking THIS was the limitation that somehow drove the rest of the design.

I didn't spend hours pouring over the patch notes for this but what I kind of expected was more slots per wheel and multiple wheels that could be named (like the armory setups) with some rudimentary ability to choose which named one showed by default by assigning logic to it. Or have them pre- named with logic and have common scenarios covered. Like... make one named PvP and have it show up as primary in Cyrodiil, IC, and BG's. Make one named Combat which would be the default one in active combat, for food and potions. Make one called Chillin' that is the default out of combat in non PvP areas, and that's where I would put allies, antiquarian eye, and mementos. Maybe also a Chillin' 2 which I would have more mementos and emotes if I'm just messing around that I could swap to. It would fix the problem I have where my companions get dismissed my accident in combat when I'm trying to switch to a potion or something and then I can't bring them back out! All with an updated quickslot UI for setting up the wheels.

I didn't think too deeply about it but this was about what I was expecting.

Who were these changes or? Not for PvP-ers. Not for people who don't have enough space in the main wheel for QUICKslots. (See what I did there?) It seems only good for very patient people who want more space for rarely used items that don't require any timing whatsoever to activate.

I wasn't over-the-moon psyched about this QoL update or anything but I fail to see how this will make things better at all, except that maybe the smuggler assistant might get used a bit more. Maybe.

There haven't been any slots added since Beta 2014. 8 slots isn't enough for pvp. Most ppl want at least 2 slots for potions, 1 slot for forward camp, 1 slot repairs for siege, 1 slot repairs for bridges, 1 slot for doors, 1 slot for walls, 2 minimum slots for defense siege (meatbags, fire, cold fire, lancers, trebs, etc. Not to mention offensive needing balistas and rams. A minimum of 12 slots is needed.

At the very least let us have just 1 repair that works on siege, forward camps, bridges, walls and doors. That alone takes up 4 spaces. Just reducing that to 1 would help some. It would be different if you could easily slot but you can almost never change anything because of constant "in combat".

So ... i guess the only thing for pvp in this update is we can now all slot /kissthis ?

Which is why I've been using Greymind Quickslot bar for years. A. you can always see what's in them. b. there are several presets.

They took a while to fix it after this update, but I saw the update a few days ago.

if you're on a console, I still feel sorry for you. Just for lack of being able to hotkey stuff.
