First time you see an adult using curse words or is it the first time you see an adult dumbing down there syntax to make it more understandable for kids?

So just curious how you with all that wisdom manage to reply to his post within 2 minutes :D Feels like your just like us... sitting and waiting ;)

Waiting for what? I didnt even know the server was down. I am at work and unable to play.

*edit* I play on the NA server. It already has the new patch.

Which is absolutely idiotic by ZOS. I bet they patched your game last night or something, while everyone was awake, and now they patch the EU server, where everyone is awake, while most americans are fast asleep.

    Think ZOS, THINK !!!!

No doubt this patch won't work for us which will mean another few hours rollback and then bring the servers up in the old state.

11am BST now and the last bit of communication from ZOS was at 9.45ish...I'll give them until noon before getting irate.

To all these people who are pointing out how long other games maintenance takes explain this, the US server patch was done in approximately five hours. The EU server patch is now on the second attempt and so far has taken nearly 6 hours with no end in sight. Explain please?

They are on different computers. Things can happen with one that did not happen with the other. Not everything always goes perfectly all the time. They have communicated it is taking longer than expected.

Yes but it's the same game and the same patch.

They have told us its taking longer than expected? Oh, that's Ok then. I'll send them some more cash as a thank you.

I agree, if both servers are in exactly the same state prior to the patch what difference does it make? if it all went fine for the NA server they shouldn't be encountering any problems on the EU server.

That does not have to do with anything. Most likely is that NA servers have different hardware then EU servers or that some hardware on the EU server broke down that they have to fix.

The EU server we play on now was meant to be a temp server until the physically move it to EU. So it's not that weird if they use some 2nd hand hardware in it.

I'm not quite sure why people think this, if I take two identical computers and install identical software on them they should react in the same way, if there is a hardware issue such as a failure of a component then that's a different matter. In that case just post an update telling us that and not all this "unforeseen problem" junk.

It's not luck with machines, do we turn our TV on and cross our fingers that it works? Not walk under a ladder in case it means our car won't start? No. Unless there is a fault 2 servers running the same software should take the same patch without issue.
