I know what GG originally meant but I've encountered too many people who use it sarcastically to complain about bad groups, and more importantly people who have only seen other people use it sarcastically to be comfortable using it sincerely myself, especially since I'm one of the first to leave. I don't want someone to think I mean "you're lucky I held off my rage quit until now" and if I can do that just by typing a different 2 letters, or even an entire word (I know, that's also not the done thing in MMOs) I'll do it.

"Remember in this game we call life that no one said it's fair"
I chose gg because I don't think I've seen tyfg before, so I've used gg more (and never sarcastically ever). I usually say thanks coupled with any number of hearts, or if I see in my loot log someone got the bust, I say grats on their first vet completion, or tell them they did well on their first run. I also always make sure to say hi at the start, and hi again if I recognize another player who came up in the LFG that same day.
Anytime I do something with a group (whether it's a dungeon or just a bunch of people at a world boss) I always say "thanks everyone!" or something similar.. actually typing it out. Yes, I'm old, but that just feels more genuine to me than "gg" and you're outta there.
I see gg (good game) as more of a PVP thing with BGs, when you've had a really good group and a winning battle, especially if it was a challenging win (though sometimes it's the same when losing, but was close). I have never considered it as something that would be used for a dungeon.
I just started doing dungeons, and use 'tyfg', but it is something I generally see as when you get invited to a group. Seems odd to use for dungeon finder, but it's something.
As a healer, my priority is to stay with my group. I find when a pug hits the ground, it is usually running so I don't have the 30-45 seconds I'd like at the beginning to get myself into group chat (can't do until after group is formed), then pull up the group to see who my tank and dd's are, then say 'hi' and maybe ask if anyone needs the quest or is farming gear. Alas, no time for anything but to hit the ground and sprint to keep up at the beginning.
No rush at the end really so I always say tyfg. By the time I ask if anyone needs gear, most of the group is gone though. Oh well.
Depends. When we start a dungeon one of usually says "hi" or "hello." If the others respond in kind, then we usually say "thanks for group. Need any of the gear?"at the end.
I have a pChat shortcut set up so I send a "thanks and take care everyone " at the end unless it was a terrible group, then I just disappear without saying anything.
I use tyfg for the most part. Also, i have accounts on both NA and EU, and in my experience most people on NA will say tyfg and most on EU either dont say anything, or some say gg. Also some on EU use "bb".
For the first 500 dungeons or so always. But after doing thousands of dungeons then very rarely unless there is something extraordinary happening. Like if people drop out and 2 ppl manage to finish a more difficult dlc dungeon in short order or some newbies that perform really well and somesuch.
I use tyfg for dungeons; gg is generally for hard fights (EX: World Bosses, Harrowstorms etc. with only a tiny number of people) and I may not necessarily be grouped with everyone involved.
I type thanks for group or I have it ready to paste in chat after copying it earlier.
Other than that the most people will normally get out of me in dungeons is responding to people saying Hi, hello etc at the start. Stopping and typing chest or hs(heavy sack)
I do respond to questions but that rarely happens at most someone is asking about gear they are after, I respond I will give them the sets pieces at the end of the dungeon.
"thanks all" or "thanks for the run".
Yeah, I like to waste my time typing whole words.
One of the two of us definitely has gone mad. It only remains to define whether this one is the whole world or just me.

Sick&tired of being kicked off from your house when you complete a dungeon? ComingBackHome addon is what you need!
Me is russian little bad in english :b
usually i say nothing anymore..i found that usually the first to say hi in randon normals will be the one who runs off and leaves the group to do things thier own way. or in harder content they would only say gg ot tyfg if things have gone well while otherwise would probably of been toxic.
