Most other online games today can apply a patch in under 30 min or what other games are you thinking of?jamesharv2005ub17_ESO wrote: »I'm just amazed that server maintenance can take as much as 5 hours o.O
Guess my other games have spoiled me
Like what other game? Id love to know these games with no downtime. Ive played many and all of them take 4-6 hours to do this kind of thing. You first have to apply the patch. Then test it make sure its working. Id much rather they take the time now and be sure its right.

Most of the western world celebrate May Day in one form or other; many European countries have a bank holiday today (including mine)Is it just a holiday, today, in Sweden?
@bugulu you are wrong. ETA is a guess there for you don't have to be sure about the time as it's just meant to be a guide line not a dead line.
PS: And I believe that you can't care about people that don't understand the difference between a ETA and a dead line.

Not trying to troll, but why is it imperative that you be sat at your computer when the servers come back online when you have chores that could be done?
Because it is his/her life? They choose to do whatever they want? You do not see them telling you how or what to do in your life.
I think the point is if you are so addicted to a game you cant leave the house while its down then please seek help.

Funny, grumpy in the morning much?
Some people don't care about the difference between ETA and deadline.
Would Zenimax post that the ETA would be 10:00 AM GMT and the servers wouldn't be back up, you would see mass complaints on these forums.
That's how it works and if you don't understand that, then that's your problem, buddy.
Yes, but who cares if they complain? All costumer service have to do is tell them to go and look up the word estimated in a dictionary. There complains will be irrelevant. Irrelevant complains on forums will happen all the time anyway and is nothing to be concerned about or something you even have to care about.

ETA = Expect Timeouts Accept.
Now go do something else
