You need a time machine and to go back to the 90s for that.

So yes compensation is something I believe we all deserve we may not need/want it but deserve it yes we do I don't care if its extra game time a silly in game pet to say sorry or pink pony jumping a rainbow but when you pay to play an mmo you expect as with anything in life to get your moneys worth.
most mmo's have 1 maintenance per week as its a new game I can handle 2 per week but 4 or 5 that's pushing the bounderies of fairness in my opinion

Would you not prefer things actually get fixed as opposed to Zenimax not giving a rat's fart to the wind and not fixing anything at all? I swear, there's no pleasing gamers these days.
You know, what I would prefer is for games to be released in a good state from the start. That would please gamers.
If you have two options, which one do you choose?
1.) release game as they did, lots of bugs, lots of maintenance, but you can still play and enjoy
2.) release the game in november, hardly any bugs and only 2 weekly maintenance "in a good state game".
I would go for option 1 hands down.

Agreed. Too much is too much. Zos must admit their unconcern about EU customers. I don't know about NA server, at least EU server gets tons of problem. We are more like NA server's lab rat. Here is the scene. EU take the patch first. Bamm, does not work. Let the NA customer continue play since the patch has problem. Finally, we solve the problem. Let's apply it to the NA server first.

You should be a publisher. You probably won't earn much money (or perhaps not even enough to keep you company alive?) but the gamers will love you.
I'd like to pay with love.
EU is not on public holiday - some of the EU has a public holiday.
I am in the EU and I am not on holiday. Our holiday is on Monday so all of the EU must have a holiday then..right?
This is definitely too much. Third day in a row, I can't play before work. And I bet tomorrow will be the same with the scheduled maintenance. This is definitely getting too much. Very disappointed here :

Well there's a difference between a "good state" and a "perfect state". I don't mind if the odd bug here and there show up, it's a complex game. It would happen.
But a good state would mean the game would be working properly thanks to good planning and proper testing.
If you think about this, you make an online game, but it's full of bugs and you have to take it down a lot to apply fixes. You expect to make an online game last where gamers want to stay and pay months on end. Do you think you would earn more in the long run from a game that works better or works worse?
People might try and play the gametime that came with the game and then unsubscribe because they don't find the experience pleasant. Woldn't it be better to have the game in a good state at the start, and people would keep the subscription.
Zenimax having a 4 day special this week just for you no matter if you belong to the 10% having not a holiday.

I would actually choose option 2, because that's what I expect from a game. Especially an online game where you pay for the time you play. If you pre-ordered they can let you in on the beta, but once the game goes gold, it's supposed to be working properly. That's what I would prefer.
Thank you for contacting The Elder Scrolls Online Team.
Unfortunately, at the moment we do not provide any compensation for server outages. Should this change in the future, we will inform everyone affected by such a decision.
We understand that experiencing downtime while trying to play the game may be frustrating, especially for players that have difficulties fitting some game time into their already busy schedule. However, server maintenance procedures are a very important aspect in achieving our goal of ensuring good server and game performance.
We want to thank you for your interest, and for the great enthusiasm you have shown about the game. We really appreciate any insights and suggestions you can share with us, as it is very helpful in our quest of making the game the best possible experience for everyone.
Tamriel's safety depends upon you adventurers! See you in the game!
Make up your mind mate, you keep defending these people and then you say its too much maintenance.
It is too much maintenance and this is starting to sound like sim city, obviously no one here gives a *** so may I suggest that we tell our nice experience to the press so they can listen to our complaints by other means.
There is not a single soul from this company bothering to come forward apologizing and explaining why they are doing all this maintenance.
