Necromancer is really clunky & nothing gels at all (for me)
This is something I keep seeing, many claim that sorcerer is possibly the best designed class of ESO (followed by DK which I have a dislike for the theme) it feels very fluid.LesserCircle wrote: »Sorcerer for me, skills feel much better. Necromancer skills are very clunky.
That's actually a concern of mine regarding the pets, sacrificing two slots for something that's just... there. I don't know. edit: I now remember that that this was one of my biggest issues back in Beta. The fact that it hasn't been changed somehow boggles my mind.I find sorcerers boring. Double barred pets take up all my slots so there is no room for fun animations. Be a necro. Watch that blastbones jump and poison those evil daedra. Watch your collossus pummel that world boss into submission then suck the energy from its lifeless husk.

p.s. Why do most complaints come from magicka necros -- could someone please elaborate on the issues?
Wow, I still consider weapon swapping one of the biggest strengths and at the same time weaknesses of ESO, mainly because of the lag. I play constantly at 100+ MS here at EU (all my other games range from 30 to 60 max) so, that MIGHT affect my experience with necro.Oreyn_Bearclaw wrote: »1. PVE - Blastbones is a massive portion of your DPS. It needs to be cast very frequently, every third skill in melee. Never mind the fact that sometimes it doesn't fire when you think it will, causing you to miss a skill in your rotation, the very nature of the rotation is requires a lot of bar swapping, even for a static rotation. The best static rotation I have seen is 30 seconds long and requires 14 bar swaps, which is a lot. Of the 30 skills, 10 are blastbones, so when ones doesn't fire its frustrating.

I would go sorc with closed eyes after all I've read, but double slotting pets kinda kills it for me. Just.. why?
Interesting. What is it that you like more, is the rotation more 'involving'? mag or stam btw?RisenEclipse wrote: »I used to exclusively play sorc for a few years. But when necro came out I tried that out. So I'm very familiar with how both classes work. After playing necro, I fell in love with it, and now exclusively play necro now. It just fits better with my play style then sorc. I have way more fun playing the class.
Yeah, it is extremely unfortunate. But I can see now why people consider sorc so easy to play, especially in PvE, I mean, you basically have 4 less spells to mind, okay, not really, but you know. I think this is bad design, and your suggestion should be heard. @ZOS_AlanGOreyn_Bearclaw wrote: »I think they "why?" comes down to the classic archetype of a Sorcerer and their Familiar. I think they wanted it to feel ever present, as opposed to something that just hung around for 10-12 seconds when casted. Whether that merited two bars or not is certainly debatable. They are very strong, and would be overpowered in the current state if they only needed one slot.
If it were up to me (it's not), I would give the pets slight nerfs, keep the longer summons animations (same instant cast on abilities), and make it so they only needed to be on one bar.

Oh, is lightning form one of these must-have skills? Both PvE and PvP? I frigging hate not being able to look at my character in general (yes, I'm vain) and I especially dislike the effect of that form, it's so low-res.propertyOfUndefined wrote: »Definitely necromancer for me… mostly for aesthetic and power-fantasy reasons. All sorcs look the same in combat with their lightning form, and that’s a big minus.
If you don’t care about any of that, go sorc. I feel like they are the glock 17 or fender stratocasters of ESO classes… consistently reliable…
