ESO really needs to do something about the event ticket limit

Given the cost of many items are 5 tickets or 10 tickets, it would be nice even if they just increased the cap to 15 tickets imo.

How does it solve the problem? Then players will be on 15/15 tickets and will complain about missing tickets again.

OK. Just verified. Having auto loot disabled prompts you to take the tickets.

I have auto-loot off, but I don’t think I can see the number of tickets until I have already taken them. I will check tomorrow.

I think 15 is a reasonable limit. Or of they could give you the option to not accept tickets (the inventory full bonk) and then you could do the thing (cake defeat world boss etc) again to get the tickets.

The wasting the tickets is the problem.

Correction, they don't want you hoarding tickets so you wind up paying for them in the CS.

There was the same limit on tickets before they were available in the crown store.

Because they had monetization in mind. Same way they had radiant apex in mind when crates came out and they highest tier was apex. Same when gem exclusive stuff came out, etc.

If you on PC, wykkyd's toolbar shows many things including the number of event tickets and let's you set the 'turn red' number.

Also, because I sometimes do things when half awake, I've still managed to lose tickets even with the red number at the top of my screen xD

PS: Absolutely N O to then removing tickets at end of event, not everyone has so much time to spend.

PPS *nods* Yup, tickets in the shop do indeed make things look bad xD

I use an addon called Event Tracker that shows me on my screen during an event how many tickets I have and how many I can still get for that day. It pops up warnings in chat and on my screen if I am close to 12 or try to go over 12. Very helpful.

Thank you! That is awesome. I'm kind of disappointed in the amount of add ons we need to use to play the game efficiently and with the options we want. If a community developer can create something basic like a warning, why couldn't ZoS? Well, they probably could and don't want to. I know people say you don't need add ons, but there are quite a few that make the game much more enjoyable. And when something as simple as a warning being added when you reach or are near the ticket limit is created by a community dev and not ZoS... Well, to me it really seems like they put profit over customer satisfaction. Yes, they need to make a profit, but I think this is just 1 example out of many that, I think, is showing ZoS's shift in priorities.

I've always had enough tickets to buy the most important pieces and often save ten for the next event. Style pages can be bought in guild traders so there's really no need to buy tickets from the CS unless you can't log in for some days during an event. And if you can't log in, at least they give you a means to get the tickets, it doesn't seem too bad to me.

Btw, I've also lost tickets a couple of times and I'm sorry that happened to you OP, but I don't blame it on ZOS; the amount of tickets collected is there in the menu, it's me that, unfortunately, forgot to check.

I agree that a little warning would be nice. I'm usually pretty good about checking my current tickets before turning one in, but every now and then I'll forget (until just as I turn it in, of course). A reminder would be helpful. I also think increasing the limit to 15/15 seems to make sense. but eh.

To be fair, with a lot of add-ons that were once... well... add-ons - ZoS has taken their functionality and added it to the game. Think trait icons, skyshard map markers, text chat channel colors, gear set presets, and so on. What we're asking for is to take functionality from a specific add-on and put it in the base game, so it's not like the asks in this thread are out of the realm of possibility.

And that's especially relevant to people like me, who primarily play on console, and so do not have access to add-ons (it continues to be the one thing I miss most about ESO on PC).
