Ummm, no. There will probably be no monsters fighting each other at all. It's about building up resources or some thing.....so think again. Think of it as probably more of a race, where the first person to fill an empty bar wins, yay fun, fun right!
Now I bet you are WISHING it is as you described, sorry, out of luck.

So I won't use the new feature. But I LOVE catching and battling games. And I'd use this every day. People who are negative about others in game dreams are irrelevant

Do I mind a card game? Not as such, no. Something like what there was in the Witcher game (only played the first one so far), no problem.
A COLLECTABLE card game, as in what you find in app-stores, thus breaking immersion AND (potentially) a wild cash grab? Not a chance.

But how ZOS described the game, both players bring decks to the game, but those are shuffled all into one stack and both players play from the same stack - YOUR card might not even be used by you, because your opponent might be the lucky one to pick it up and use it against you - imo quite a design flaw, if that is how they will actually do it - collecting good cards will not do much to the game, it would just be interesting for collectors, who collect everything, regardless if it is useful or not.

Exactly. Building up resources. Of MS/ZOS. Through making people dependent on the newest chapter to play a game where you can find the new uber rings and whatnot, just as with the archeology thingie. And also maybe the bestest cards only being available through crown crates. So resource building indeed.
I feel like the Pokemon and Digimon franchises would disagree. Pokemon is one of the best-selling games in the world. Real-world animal fighting and placing pets like on racing might be banned, yes, but games? Considering how popular Pokemon is I doubt people would be that bothered if ZOS implemented some similar game. Not that it would make much sense, but I mean we DO have the Sorc Class that can summon Daedra to fight for them.TheNuminous1 wrote: »Why would or do people advocate AGAINST a new mode of play that's enjoyable to others. It is something what is banned in a lot of countries in real life and people (and especially citizens of those countries) might not feel well to see this implemented in a game, that is my reasoning about this matter.

Because it doesn't make sense in Elder Scrolls. A card game does.

90% of the stuff that happens in ESO doesn't "make sense" in Elder Scrolls. This isn't a part of the main series. Time for y'all to finally accept that.

that is the one part of this "card game" that im kind of wary about
whats the point of getting good cards if it also gives the opponent the ability to use it?
im sure we will have some kind of battles with select NPCs as well, but it would make even the games that you should win hands down into a purely 100% gamble of who picks your good cards
