I held forward to move, pressed the button to sprint. I begin sprinting.
I stop moving and quickly hold forward again. I press sprint but do not sprint.
I continue to hold forward for several seconds.
I press sprint but do not sprint.
I continue holding forward for several more seconds.
I press sprint then begin sprinting.
The conclusion: If one were to stop and start moving within a second after they were sprinting, no matter how long they continue to move, the next 2 times they press sprint they will not sprint.

Hi All. Just wanted to follow up on this. We have sent all the feedback in this thread to the dev team. They are investigating what is causing the issue and trying to reproduce the bug on their end. If there is additional information, please feel free to share it in this thread and we'll make sure the team gets that info. Thanks, all.

That actually sounds like it may be related. For the gamepad, if you don't wait for that cooldown you suffer the issue posted all through this thread. There is a 1 second cooldown bug sometimes before you can sprint again with "Hold to Sprint" function if you sprint and stop a few times when the sprint should be responsive like the skills.
I don't generally play in a way that would cause this bug to occur however, I was able to make it happen 100% of the time when I was testing on pc. I needed to be sure before I gave my findings to zos.katanagirl1 wrote: »As I mentioned before, this is happening about 50% of the time for me on PS5 (PS4 version ESO) so if you are able to test with that setup it should be highly repeatable.

I do not remember how long it has been there, but it certainly feels like it has been there a very long time. I have joked that ZOS is in cohoots with the controller manufacturers to wear out the left thumb sticks faster. Everyone I know on xbox and playstation, which is just a few people to be sure, that I have mentioned this to have all had the same issue. Many times I have heard that the dev team plays the game. Do they all use mouse and keyboard then? This is so weird. How many streamers are there on console and or use controllers? It is just bewildering to me that it took until 2022 to be checked out, but I am glad to know that it is being investigated.

You left thumb stick will start drifting with all the extra clicking because the sprint doesn't work
I wonder how long it will take for the devs to fix the bug and when the fix is coming?
