Cannot launch the game with the new patch

Firstly, I know the servers are still offline.
However, before I get to the logon screen and before the client makes a connection with the server I am getting this error message
I believe this is similar to what occured with some people when the PTS for Ascending Tide started.
Is this happening for anyone else and/ or did anyone find a fix or workaround for when this occured on the week 1 PTS.

Update: I have repaired the game via the launcher and it still will not get onto the logon screen.

Tatanko✭✭✭✭I am encountering a similar issue. I get to the login screen for a few seconds, then get the error and the game closes. Repaired once and it did seem to be doing some repairs, but still gave me an error after reaching the login again.1 -

It turns out RivaTuner was causing the problem for me. I didn't have to uninstall it, just disabling it fixed the problem.Soupy twist0 -

✭This is either happening just post cursor load, when the screen is black and the game's cursor has loaded in but before the login screen shows.
Or, just after reaching the login screen, the first few notes of the music play then crash.

Erissime✭✭✭✭Logged in just fine, without performing a repair ( on purpose, as I always check after updates to see if any available - and it is now there). Had a bit of a hiccup after loading in Fargrave (character logged, walked 2 steps, froze while loading screen showed up again - then all went back to normal). I did however updated all the available add-ons which now have an update.0 -

✭I'm also having this issue.
I click the play button on launcher. Screen goes black, cursor loads in. I see the login screen and it says requesting log in. (I play from Steam).
Then crash to desktop (Log in does not complete). No error messages.
Running a repair now, so will see if it fixes the issue.
