Good luck with that. They are not good at communicating with us. Even when they do post something no one knows exactly what they mean.

The kind of update that says "while our EU patch took about 2.5 hours to deploy, we're having trouble because of X, Y and Z with the US patch, and currently do not have an ETA but it should take at least another 2 hours."

An update on roughly when they expect it'll be done obviously. I'm all for regular patches and maintenance, but unless they tell you in advance that the maintenance is expected to take a significant amount of time, 5 hours (which is what it's at now) means something went wrong.

Personally I just want to log on for 5 minutes before work so I can get my hireling mail. If the hirelings actually worked the way the tooltips say I wouldn't care.

EU server was down for hours (5ish?) the 29th and about 2.5 hours today. I would give it 7.5 hours and THEN start asking for an update.

Compared to the EU's what, 2.5 hour time today? what could possibly make it take longer on one server and not the other.

NA cluster is likely much larger as it has much higher population density, they have to patch god knows how many physical servers they are hosting and then test them before they go live again.. *** takes time...

You would lose your job. They're running a business here. They do need to make the customers happy to some degree.

What I'm not fine with is a lack of communication on roughly how long the downtime is expected to be (and, going hand in hand with that, updates if and when things are taking longer than they expected).

That was my big complaint with the bank bug too: absolutely terrible communication. It's clear that ZOS simply doesn't have an effective communication strategy.

Love it when people complain for the sake of complaining or to feel obligated to complain at a complaint !

EU may have been shorter today because they also had maintenance on the Tuesday. NA could be getting both lots in one go.

Have you noticed that the moderator announcements don't display the time they were posted now? That use to give me a time stamp between start and finish for EU prior to NA maintenance.

Oh well. Looks like a quick cleanup of the kitchen and it's off to bed for me!

Did you ever think that they don't know?
there is a list of stuff to fix. Unless you know how to fix a build, I wouldn't be complaining on communication. I'm guessing anyone who would know what is going on is working on the patch. Besides wasn't this patch supposed to happen YESTERDAY?
