Nope, once to twice a year perfect.

When you try to get to much of something it is no longer a good thing.

Pull the George Castanza, leave it just long enough you will come back the next time.

A quarterly event might be nice for people who like it. Have two longer ones like this one (there is the summer one IIRC) and then two shorter ones that are maybe a week or five days (long weekend). As a PVE player, I can see how PVP would like something like this. PVE players have several events during the year. PVP only has this one and the summer one. So PVP might enjoy having a few more added.

Maybe you like it because it's not everyday, every week, every month.
Maybe it's perfect as it is.

While I'm sad that I will have to wait six more months to unlock legate black, this is a really intense event and twice a year seems about right for keeping the energy up. Already yesterday with two days left there was no one playing (except the usual who always play) for most of the day.

Other: I think some double AP weekends could be fun

You forgot the option to reduce mayhem to "never again"... mayhem is a horrible experience! Any PvP is, after the PvE'ers leave.

Yesterday I only wanted to do one quest in the imperial city, and got ganked 4 times by players at quest objectives. Horrible horrible experience!

And for the love of god, remove tickets from events like these! Also stop forcing us into the IC by only making the outfit drop there, instead of from boxes!

PS: I do have fun in Cyrodiil, with the PvE quests only. Please stop taking my towns!
PPS: Remove any PvP endeavours please!

PPPS: I have not attacked any other players in Cyrodiil, unless they attacked me or were trying to take a town I was questing in.

You forgot to state your opinion as what it is: an opinion. You think MYM is a horrible experience, but the amount of people in there prove otherwise. I think people who say this, want to put minimum effort and risk and still get maximum reward. I also think this is not how games should work. For tickets you only have to finish 1 IC quest. It's not difficult to make yourself either tanky or stealthy, group up and just do 1 quest. It doesn't matter if you die and you have to return, or find another way of finishing it. That's part of the game, that's the thrill.

I also see questers complaining in zonechat sometimes. It's so easy to just grab one of the quests like kill 20 players, scout a resource and then group up. Maybe use some sieges, you might discover it's not that bad.

The difference between PvE and PvP is that in PvP you fight other players instead of a program, so you don't get away with slacking or minimum effort. I'm lazy and sometimes bring my PvE chars into PvP zone for some reward, without regearing them. I don't complain if I get nuked then, because it's my own fault.

Make it a week long monthly event...
It's the best event of the year.

If it can't be a monthly event, how about:-

    1. Running it once every three months;
    2. Increasing base level AP and TV rewards to bring people into Cyrodiil and Imperial City.

    Pretty please, with sugar on!

I don't think it should be monthly no, especially if other events are going off. Now I can see making 2 days a week dbl AP. Mix it up on weekdays and not just weekend double AP when population is already higher. Bring in some life weekdays too.

I would be happy if they just made double ap (and maybe even double Tel Var) a more regular thing, like the explorer celebration for xp they sometimes do.

I think they should just have a random 7 day campaign once a month. Make it double AP if that is needed to bring people in.

Double AP is nice, but the coffers this round were repetitive. I got the entire DC set, Hrothgar's Chill, and Plaguebreak. There are many other PVP related sets, but my rewards were either 1 of these 3 sets above. I deconstructed it all.

I did not enjoy this event. I looked forward to it having conveniently forgotten the really toxic behavior of my fellow players not to mention the traitors and spies that infest each faction.

Will go on vacation next year.

I like PvP and I like that the event makes the areas more active. My perception is that we had to wait longer than usual for this one, which probably isn't even true but shows I was looking forward to it. What I don't like is the longer queues for the one alliance-locked campaign and how getting these event tickets can be more time consuming than most due to the requirement to queue into a different area.

So, I'm not sure I would like more Midyear Mayhem exactly as-is, and in particular monthly seems a little too much, but I'm not against more reasons for people to go to Cyro and IC. Double AP events would push more people to Cyro but I'm not sure it would entice more folks to IC.

Anyway I can't vote yes or no because my vote is more of an "other." I will add my voice to the ones saying that they overall have better experiences in PvP during the event.

As someone who never takes part in this event I'd be glad if it ran alongside each PVE event. That'd make PVPers stop complaining they need to do PVE all the time, and I wouldn't lose out on event tickets twice a year.

I agree that it felt like it had been a while since the last MYM. Queues were actually pretty good this year. I often logged in and ported straight into Cyro (30 day, alliance locked). Back in the day, queue times could take hours. Even during primetime, dont think I waited longer than 20 minutes this time around.

I think the reality is that double AP tends to force more action. At 1.7k AP for soloing a resource, meh, prob not going to bother. I can get that from one kill. At 3.3k, my ears perk up. It only snowballs from there. Getting that juicy 40-50k tick for defending your home keep just feels awesome, which you wouldn't have if the other faction or two weren't after that big O tick on their end.

To me, MYM is double AP, nothing more, nothing less. I dont really care about the tickets or the extra stuff in the golden. I want large scale fights that reward the effort, and I like my AR rank to actually feel like its moving when I am on a toon north of 30 or so. No, I would not just turn on the Double AP switch and forgot about it, but I see no reason why they cant do it more often.

I'd love zones like the IC to be more active, however.... Event Fatigue is real.

Also the reason the Imperial City zone died in the first place was when people got all the rewards they could out of it. Make it a more common event and it'll dry up into the same stale zone it's always been. I vote to keep it only a couple of times a year as it is now.

For my part, it is because getting the rewards out of IC is just too much pain. Trying to kill boss X for reward Y while being ganked back to the base on the other side of the map is just not how I get my kicks. :P

Why are there even PVE story quests in a PvP zone to begin with? To experience the story of the zone I gotta endure ganking and griefing. Really needs a separate pve version for those that just want to do the story/quests.

I agree wholeheartedly. It is just cruel. It is cruel to PvE-ers who just want to do the PvE stuff to force them into an area where they will be tormented by PvP-players, and it is cruel to PvP-players who lose seats to PvE-ers, wondering why a pop-locked server only has a handful of defenders. :/

To me, the event is one of those things that should say to ZOS "hey, if the rewards are solid, the player base will engage with the content."

Now, it can't be in the form of event tickets- that probably stresses ZOS' drop schedule of specialty items and sets, but something that focuses more on double AP, extra transmutes, free bags of tel var and crafting mats would be nice. You really want to engage the peeps with PvP- start dropping chromium grains and plating randomly toon during say a monthly, long weekend PvP boosting event.

    Give them the juice, ZOS!
