The framerate in Vulkhal guard is AWFUL as of now.....

I have been playing this game since early release, and the framerate there was always a steady 50-60 fps for me, even on weekends, but I have now come back for the first time in a week for one of the main quest missions, and the FPs are AWFUL. I mean , REALLY awful.....what exactly happened between now and 2 weeks ago that made the fps go from 60 to 20.......or lower.

EU server.
100 MB/s connection
32GB RAM
I7-3820 3.8 ghz
GTX 690 4 GB

Again, this has never happened before now for me, so what changed? First we get awful latency on the EU servers, now the framerate is dropping?

    Disable SLI, if it's on?

There's a spot in alik'r desert also that destroys framerate. Really dense fly swarms drop me to 5 fps no matter how low I turn my graphic settings. I'm normally 60 fps on ultra settings.
Please LOL my comments. I'm an aspiring comedian.

That has nothing to do with it, I was playing at release no problem, lots and lots of people in the beginning areas, I mean to the point where the smithy area was bursting at the seems. Now though, specifically vulkhal guard, the framerate is atrocious. It HAS to be something on ZM side.

Pretty certain they are aware of recent problems with connectivity to the EU server, a sticky post requesting feedback regarding it from the devs was at the top of the forum for a few days.
hopefully this evening's patch will/did fix the latency issue, as well as clearing up any stuttering in otherwise clean-running zones.

That's the thing though, I was gallivanting through Grahtwood no problems, even in Eldenroot (which is always RIDICULOUSLY populated) I have no problem. Then I take a wayshrine back to Vulkhal Guard, and BAM, worst FPS I have EVER seen in a game......since....since Dead Rising 2, lol.

Stuttering is an understatement. A flip book cartoon has a better framerate than I am getting in VG atm....

Hmm, very sorry to hear that, as your server is obviously back up after the patch.
...Are there an irregular number of soul-shriven wearers standing around? (some sort of bot gathering ground or some such?)
It certainly sounds like your machine should be running this game quite smoothly, & since it's local specific, worth a bug report for certain.

I actually checked for that, nah, I actually saw almost all armored people running around....and a skeleton....that was kind of strange....

Hmmm...sorry, I have reached the end of my 6 A.M. theories on the matter.

I am unfortunately not well versed in such things.

(but I DID stay at a Holiday Inn express last night!)

(in all seriousness, I hope they work it out. we are four days away from a MASS exodus that will doubtless have pencil pushers & number crushers emailing each other in a semi-hysterical mass...)

I trust they will peruse the forums & see why people are unwilling to give them the time to fix their issues.

& I hope your situation is resolved with their next maintenance; or you somehow find the wrench in the gears.

The number one issue for EU players will be their lack of communication about the EU servers moving to the EU. But yeah, I reloaded the game 4 times, and the framerate FINALLY fixed itself....no idea wtf that was about....

They could retain TONS of subs IF they would just set a damned date for the EU server migration....
