Am I forced to be a Vampire for PVE?

Just keep in mind that if you select vampire because it is the ONE way to BEST play in PVE then fully expect to come to the forums in a few months complaining about how horrible it is that the devs nerfed you.

This is true in all MMO's any build that sticks out above the others at the one best build probably has something not working the we the devs want it too and lots of people using such a build will invite the correction to it.

DON'T become a vampires, especially not as a PVE player, a fire atronach in BC VR can simply onehitt you xD And some sets contain ring/necklace slots, that means, if you want to play a fire encounter you have to break this bonuses
Warden Main apparently... 7 Wardens currently, otherwise a healer of every class.
Mostly active in No CP PVP on EU, blaming the buffbot meta in pve.
I want to feel like I am saving somebodies life, not like I am carrying amunition for them...

heh that is WHY i picked vamp. the extra fear factor of running in to a group of fire casters makes the game more entertaining for me.

Being a vampire or a werewolf seems so meh. They need to put some work into these skill lines and add more. I want to be a Zombie!
Want to become Vampire? 5k @ZiRM in game.

    Advantages:
    - Health, Stamina and Magicka recovery bonus
    - Stealth bonus
    - Undeath survivability bonus
    - Additional skills

    Disadvantages:
    - 50% more fire damage
    - (Fighter's guild abilities, no issue in PVE?)
    - (feeding once every 30 minutes, seems to be no real issue?)

To me it seems that a Vampire character would be far stronger for PVE in any case. Even if there is fire damage to be expected you could simply swap an item for fire resist. A lot of people also already know the situations when a lot of fire damage is ahead (e.g. group dungeons after first run).

I am not a Vampire myself, and I see that a lot of the skills have been reported broken. But if they work as intented I just cannot see how I can keep up with this being a non Vampire.

Being Vampire should be a roleplay rare choice, but at level 42 I see them all over the place and it probably gets even more populated in the VR content.

How would you guys think about a flat 10% health and stamina reduction debuff during daytime? Really something that makes you a Vampire rather than one of those shining Twilight jokes. I've seen armor set bonuses during daytime, so the system is there to provide such a buff/debuff.

What do you guys think? Should half the world be Vampires for its advantages, especially in PVE? Or are you on my side, that it should be a rare choice with fairly stronger off-trades?

Ok so I'm a scorc, Vampire, and I am a tank! Now ATM I'm really just testing vampire as I may(?) cure myself the boost is nice for magic and stamina, and as long as I stay in stage 2 vampire, my health regin is at like 60 every two seconds, please not I'm not lvl 50 yet. The one thing I will say the scorc's have a better ability too be versatile more so then the other classes IMO. We have access too 4 shielding ablitys, increased health regin( summoning tree), reduced magic and stamina cost multiple-trees, drain ability, healing from (summoning tree), bound amour and many more things.

So far IMO it's 50/50! The fire weekends is huge! And many bosses have fire damage, the only way for too ME too defended against this extremely high spell resit, and annulment, and other shields. Too stop the damage before it gets too me, for now I will test a few more days and see how it works out as a tank.

Now as a caster IMO there is a decent advantage because of the vampire drain and the bats! Your not going too be up in the thick of it as a caster for the most part, sure u might have a add or two but that's what the drain is for!

As a stealth player, esp and knight Blade, the increased speed while sneaking would defiantly be helpfully, the vampire drain stuns, and heals so there are advantages but fire is something that is often used in pvp because vamps can be vary oppressive More fire= better as far as pvp

So IMO there are advantages however there are major disadvantages as well!
    Hope this helps.

Facing fire using mobs is definitely way harder than it otherwise would be, this is true. However, in group play you can always swap out for some fire resist stuff for those types of fights.. and most such damage is avoidable in PvE anyway.

In the end, the answer to your question in YES, if you want to min/max your dps in PvE then becoming a vampire is one of the most important things you can do.
