If Vamp/WW are legimate options and since were in past SP it's supposedly ok .. then shouldn't we also have a sort of 'Dawn Gaurd' that people who wish to hunt down and slau, umm, capture? those who chose such?

When both are within x of each other, auto flagged pvp towards each other only, let them thrash it out. :-)

That then is within SP game and so should be a valid choice for those who don't want the Vamp/WW route but would like to hunt them down instead.

Add's in some World PvP for all three parties as well so all will be more careful about the choice.

I would love this but I doubt it will ever happen.

Vampire hunting guild idea is awesome!

My main character (Basil) is defined by his vampirism, but in Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim, I use mods to add more hunters, just to spice his unlife up a bit! In Morrowind especially, I got him to lvl 105 and had to keep finding tougher and tougher hunters for him! None managed to get the prize of his head though! ;)

    a) they're extra food and b) they keep him sharp and on his toes!
RIP Atherton, my beautiful little gentle friend. I will miss you forever. Without you I am a hollow shell.

I have to agree with this one. When i heard they were allowing vampires and werewolves, I prayed to the Nine it would either be a hard thing to accomplish, or that the penalties for making the choice would be very very harsh. My prayers went unanswered.

I'm going the hipster route and not being either one. I hate to have to waste a skill slot on my PvP bar for silver bolts!

Do yourself a favour, if you want to watch movies on vampires go back to the good old 80's and watch Lost Boys .... it's a decent film.

    Or Blade.

Is it really true you can't level any skill at V10? That just seems inaccurate.

I really don't see what the problem is. Let people be a vampire if they want to be one, I don't see why it should be more rare. It's not a huge advantage, one would say it's almost a disadvantage in most cases, what with the extra fire damage you take.

And as for the reasoning that people just want it because it's special, how is it special? As was said, there's loads of them around, it's not a unique thing. Most people want to be a vampire because they like to be a vampire, or want to try it out.

I love killing vampire players. My weapon swap is strictly for killing undead/daedric/werewolves so its even more effective in pve. I see these vampires in Cyro owning the lower-end players and then all of a sudden they see me run up on them and they try to Mist away, but i drag them back with Silver bolts into Daedric mines and Fire Runes- its a loud and quick death. I think most vamps i kill are satisfied or humbled by the way i end them.

As a person testing vampire, the 50 fire weakness, is already bad, and the reduced health regin by 75% is holly god horrible in stage 4, even with the passive that helps reduce it makes vary little difference.

Currently stacking almost 40 health regin and I only get 15 after the 75%.

I'm a tank and it still works well after the bounce for health with health regin naturally calculating which (for) is 46 and the soft cap is 46.

If they were too apply those changes your talking about they would have too reduce how often we have too feed, as it stands too stay out of stage 2 we have too feed every 30 mins which is a pain, all the vamps I know of only needed too feed every 2 weeks too not suffer any drawbacks. So they would have too increase feeding times.

The draw backs now are already tough too work around, not even sure if it worth it right now as it stands

It just pains me that as a tank main i cant go vamp or wherewolf because of the resistance issues (i see so many vamps get one shotted in fire stuff)

As a tank and a vamp I really don't have those issues, I can absorb the fire spells or, shield and block and reduce the damage even further but I'm still testing.

Spamming an Ultimate with only 4-40 Ultimate costs is a joke.

If they dont fix this soon a lot of players will cancel their sub for sure.

    Something is wrong when:

    * so many complain about Vampires
    * when you dont hear much about Werewolfs and most are choosing Vampire
    * when you dont hear much about effective Fighter Guild skills against undeads
    * when Zenimax is so silent about it and the Vampire discussion is one of the biggest

While I do not care about those that care to join "Team Edward" or "Team Jacob", I am a bit concerned that it is appearing as if you will have to join one of them in order to be competitive in Cyrodiil. I also find it a really *** that they can be members of the Fighters Guild. Do they get experience for killing themselves once they join?

    Thanks.

Fighters guild is very effective against undead, daedra, vampire and ww, fire even more so against vamps
you dont hear as much about WW because there are more vamps
if they are one that can spam their ult its because they are stage 4 bring the fire and wipe em out
a good strong fire attack can sometimes one shot a stage 4 vamp especially in pve (as a player getting one shot)
Zenimax doesnt need to say anything bout it, it is balanced, you just arent gearing for it
Vamps and WW are easy to kill if you know how, I for one love my fighters guild skils and passives, makes cold harbor jokingly easy, as well as vamps in pvp oh and Im a WW btw on my main VR6, and a vamp on my lvl 40 alt, my duo partner is a VR6 vamp and his alt is a lvl 40 WW

well lost boys sure is a good movie, but Blade is just a entertaining movie, would not call it a Good movie. so if you was talking about Good vampire movies there is so much better choices than those
Interview with a vampire, Bram stokers Dracula and Nosferatu are so much better choices ^^

but back on topic, i can agree that it should have been abit harder to get infected, when a guildie managed to do the vampire quest at lvl 13 and the mobs are around 40 there really is something wrong with the quest. i my self did it at lvl 20.

Part of the reason everyone wants Vampire right now is the bugged mechanics (and unintentional ones) allow some over the top fun times in PvP. The other reason is WW is completely useless atm until they fix the horrible amount of bugs with it. I agree with others, let it parse out a little while and all will be right as rain.

Not many here can have experienced vr10 vs vr10 group on group and 1v1 action. I have and i'll be honest while being a vamp myself i don't really see any real advantage vs another vr10 skilled player. Yes i can bomb a 50 man zerg of low level players but if even one of them is a competent vr10 he'll still be standing afterwards and will give me a good fight and if its a DK then most likely i'll end up dying. I don't use mist form ( because vs good players it sucks, you get rooted and locked down), i also don't use ult cost reduction items because i simply don't want to run sword and board build. People who mostly complain about vampires are lower level characters because they suffer the most from any kind of aoe in pvp due to being inexperienced at avoiding it and due to low armor/spell res and low hp. Although i do think that mist form/bat swarm could use a nerf, (a 10-20% cost increase would be good) most of these advantages of vampires that people complain about disappear in equal lvl/skill scenarios. Extra fire damage remains however and its much more serious drawback than most think. Lol anytime i get hit with buring oil all you can hear on voice chat is "omfg! purge! purge! purge! dont you f**** let me die!" because I take like close to 1k damage a tick even with max fire resist. It takes 2 shots form fire balista and 1 from burning oil to kill me at 3k hp(unless i get healed or purged). Skilled pvp player can often sneak up close enough and put an oil pot right under your feet... lol and some are even emperors (emperor oil did 2.8k per tick on me, i was like "wtf?").
I have to give a credit to AD pack of Vampires with VR10 Night Mistress leading them (seriously VR10 10 days after the official release?).

Night Mistress - v12 Former Empress Sorcerer AD
Night Mistress II - v12 Night Blade AD

U still receive 50% more damage from fire attacks after mitigation, compared to a none vampire, but yes if u reduce the incoming fire damage enough it does not matter too much if u loose 100 or 150 HP.

No thats not how resistance work in ESO and is a misconception. Check out this video, no one seems to bother watching or understanding the math.
    https://youtube.com/watch?v=jLM3f2pSjXw

Being a Dark Elf only helps u to reach the hardcap for fire based attacks faster, so it might free a ring slot. If u are already hardcapped in spell resistance, adding more fire resist on top does nothing.

This also means a vampire will always receive 50% more fire damage than a none vamp, assuming both players are near the hardcap.

This vampire and werewolf thing IS bad. It has gotten out of hand in my opinion. It's starting to remind me of the jedi-thing in SWG. If I remember rightly Lucas Arts/SOE opened the floodgates to letting people become jedi and it got ridiculous. Before that it had been rather rare that you discovered you had the force.

In ESO it's already prevalent and when you get people asking 24k to bite someone you have to groan.

I can't help but see a time when everyone is expected to be either werewolf or a vampire. It will be like bards in EQ2 again, where you don't get a group unless you fulfill a particular role. As a conjuror in EQ2 I was so overlooked because I couldn't play a *** lute (or whatever bards in EQ2 did that was so special). The community will make a decision that such and such a build is the best and werewolves and vampires fall in to that category, or so it would seem by the amount of people wanting to get bit.

Or is it just a thing that people want? Is everyone so damn convinced they need to be a werewolf or a vamp?

They should make it so you have to stray in during the day as a vamp and you only become a werewolf at full moons. Yeah, that's tongue in cheek.

Me, I'm going to avoid being either as long as I bloody can....just because. :#

You get bit, free of charge...donations accepted XD
