Since I couldn't look like when when I turned into a vamp, I saw no reason really to become one, nor do I see the point.

Here's the thing though...this is not a single player game. And if everyone is a Vampire, it will change the feel of the game. So for that reason, it should be unpleasant enough that only hardcore RPers will want to do it.

Personally I have only seen two total PC vampires (in DC) so far. So I don't think the population is excessive.

Yep...this was something I REALLY wanted when the game launched. Now? Not so much.

I will probably still do it eventually, but I no longer see it as a primary goal. I certainly would not pay for it.

People throw twilight reference to A. troll those who love vampires, but hate Twitards. B. They saw someone else do it, so they consider it a valid insult.

Which Twilight is a terrible thing done to Vampires & long standing vampire lovers, but hey *** happens. Just ignore it, they are doing it to get a reaction.

I have a question. I understand (I think) that you can become Vampire or Werewolf by being bittern infected by another who is. But is there a way to get Vamp or Were just through doing PVE content?

Yes. There are "events" that happen once a week.

I hope everyone else becomes a vampire. Expert hunter and assorted skills to inflict extra damage to vampires is awesome. Playing a DK on top of it: priceless.

In case you don't know it: Expert Hunter is a skill in the fighters skill line and the tooltip does not mention it, but when you slot it, EVERY undead, deadra or werewolve including players is highlighted. So you know and see it from far that a player is vampire or ww and in reaction you switch to your fighters guild loadout and cackle madly pounding them into dust.

Please, become a vampire. Thanks!

I don't want to be a vamp my build requires the vamp skill line.

I'd also imagine a lot of the hurt feelings are due to people paying for bites instead of getting them the way I did from the npc.

People want to experience all the content to see what it's like. A lot of them won't want to keep their vampirism/lycanthropy forever.

Do yourself a favour, if you want to watch movies on vampires go back to the good old 80's and watch Lost Boys .... it's a decent film.

I prefer the Hammer films Christopher Lee or Peter Cushing type vampires.

I tried playing a werewolf, didn't like it, infected a guildie and got myself cured.
I got myself bit (paid for it, sold my first bite, made a small profit) and now i play a vampire, and loving it (though i ended up putting a guildie on ignore because he could not shut up about twilight).

Would i get a vampire on all my characters? No, but it fits the one i play, both in playstyle and in story.
I might make an alt that is a werewolf later, or might not.

As for all those who demand bigger penalties for playing a vampire or a werewolf, fine.
But on the flipside we also get more power to make up for those weaknesses, there's a reason why vampires and werewolves are feared.

The reason Twilight gets referenced so often when talking about vampires is because it is so wildly NOT vampire and yet somehow very popular. It took the moody teenager love story plot element and put it on steroids. Then it diluted the vampire legend so much that it is nothing short of an insult. It turned vampires into angels with an eating disorder and bad fashion sense.

People calling for everything to be Nosferatu are over-correcting though, IMO. Hellsing, Blade, Dracula, VTM, that's the sweet spot. Deadly predators blending in with society like wolves in sheep's clothing. Not pansy emo teenagers running through open fields midday, but not too closet monster either.

I've been into vampires, since I was 8. That was back in 1984...WELL BEFORE TWILIGHT. How about Lost Boys? lol not even that. I just like whole Vampire/Werewolf mythos.

All Twilight did was give fuel to people who want to mock other people that like vampires. Trust me when I say, most true Vamp fans also hate Twilight.

Stealth speed stacked with concealed weapon that lets me pretty much sprint speed while stealth

Mist form that lets me pretty much travel mount speed and immune to most cc.

And not one, not two, but three ways to heal from low to full life.

50 percent fire damage? Man you people really need to learn this game better.
