I stand corrected on things i've said before.

The vampire thing didn't bother me at one point, my second weapon set is set up for vampire killing and they didn't cause me many problems.

    However.....

This past week or so i've seen a massive increase of vampires .... everywhere.

It really has got way out of hand, it's laughable.

My favorite part is using silver bolts on harvester daedra....i hate those things...since i am melee its harder to dodge one of her attacks and get to all the bubbles...but silver bolts worked for me and it can work for you too!

I agree that vamp and WW has gotten somewhat out of hand. Although I do have one vamp and one WW. Attained the quest way through pve content. I rp with the vamp and ww and enjoy it when with a certain group of like minded individuals. However, paying for a bite is abit Ludacris. The group I play with follow the old standard of the masquerade. As far as pvp I don't know I am not a pvp'er nor will I ever pvp. But to each their own I guess.

Seem to me Vamps in PVP are very useful .. it separates the real PVPers who want to win a fair fight from those who simply want to cheese their way to XP and phat lewt.

    Something is wrong when:
    * so many complain about Vampires

So many don't. I never (ever) hear any complaints at all in Zone chat. I only see them on here, and even then it is basically from a few people. I think the Vampire "problem" has been greatly exaggerated.

The times I see requests for bites in chat is more Werewolfs...I assume because they are not vulnerable to a laughably common damage type like fire.

I am not much of a Twilight fan, does Harry Potter have vampires too?

Anyways, I must admit I couldn't care less about vampires :D I guess not having watched the above movies made me immune to that hype.

But I am sure my Char will love to hunt them down :D

@Audigy‌ . I regret to inform you, but vampires have been around since before Twilight.

Oh really? How many Daedra or undead have you met so far in PvP?

they should just make it harder to be one. crime system should have been in the game to begin with - walk into town as a stage 4 vampire? get guard smacked stage 3? people refuse to sell to you because you look sick and contagious.

the side effects should be worse too

    stage 1 - 50% fire

    stage 2 - 75%

Stage 3 - 100% being in the sun reduces ALL regen

stage 4 - 150% being in the sun makes you significantly weaker somehow

(i'd say being in the sun at stage 4 should make you lose health but people would cry too much because they were spoiled by skyrim)

being a vampire is SUPPOSED to be a curse. Its not supposed to be a walk in the park. Not necessarily rare just incredibly difficult to deal with.

i play vamp for fun not for an edge, because i do not pvp.. all this qq over vamp is from pvp. what you are suggesting is to make vamp useless and a chore to play.

your stage four opinion is just completely *** 150% fire damage? seriously? thats a one shot if my toe so much as skims anything fire.....

why not just make everything extreme by your logic.

cut by a sword, bleed out and die
    on fire, burn to death
argonian skin dries out every 30 mins have to go take a dip to fix it.
    ....etc etc etc

I wouldn't have a problem with all the Vamps in game if the NPC's actually responded to them.

To the general population in the Elder Scrolls Universe, Vamps are horrible monsters that should be feared and destroyed on sight. But just the other day at check out at the local market some Stage 4 Vamp was rummaging through his bags looking for the correct change as the merchant just rolled his eyes and popped his gum.

THAT is the problem, as a Stage 4 vampire the guards should have been all up his business, running him out of town while confiscating his sweet rolls.(Or really any stage over 2.)

THAT is the Elder Scrolls game that I know and love.

@Brother_Numsie I totally agree with the idea that NPC's should respond differently to Vampires just like in Skyrim. This being an MMO and not single player however there'd have to be some checks and balances to make sure Vamp players weren't shunned by all NPC's everywhere, how else would you level, craft gear, trade with other players, etc.

Or it should have been as easy as picking it in character creations. Many people just want it because it's "special".

    It's SWG all over again.

They would be able to trade, level, and craft in town with the occasional comment on the wellbeing of their character.

As soon as they hit stage 3 things should start getting ugly.

NPC towns people should avoid them or cower and the guards should start paying them more closer attention of an unfavorable kind.

If a vampire player character doesn't want this kind of attention then they need to go nosh on someone.

Stage 3-4 of course would be welcome in vampire friendly neighborhoods or sympathetic (shady) shop keepers at the edge of town.

ESO needs a Better Vampires mod and Vampire Lord transform, if not for anything else than to *** off all the people crying wolf.

And if anyone who cries for WW to be nerfed payed any attention to it, they'd know it's already beat to hell with bugs as well as give NO bonuses whatsoever to the character while in humanoid form.

    WW plays as such:
    - Grind mobs until attaining 1000 ultimate
    - find area with decent amount of mobs
    - transform into werewolf
    - run around for 1 minute (+ if you happen to not have a broken Devour skill)
    - Pray you don't get the pounce bug
    - Pray you didn't pick the wrong morph for the transform and immediately get kicked back to humanoid form after 3 seconds of being werewolf
    - Pray you're not in combat with more mobs than you can handle when werewolf decides it's done and kicks you back to humanoid form after keeping you stunned for the entirety of the transformation while enemies are raining hits on you for full damage
    - Rinse and repeat

Both skill lines require polishing yes but outright "NO U 2 POWRFEL I DEMAND ALL FIRES" nerfing is unnecessary

Now for the abilities that can be abused, say in pvp? Simple, make the cooldown longer
    Shendell De'Gull - V14 Vampire Nightblade

Vampire and Werewolf is more of a RP thing, which for some of us, thats what we like. Most are now figuring out being one is a bit tougher than they initially thought. I enjoy the challenge tho and the option of being able to change my mind later if I get tired of being one. Being a vamp/werewolf wont give you an advantage against those whom are not, it's just a different play style with pros and cons.

You have nothing to do with what others want to be , it is their game not yours.

If everyone wants to be a vampire , then they have all the right to be a vampire , you have the right to make the same call , not to tell others should not be able to become one.

    Get over yourself.

If they add all this stupid crap you guys are suggesting, they should add an ability to bite a pc that only slows them and cuts their damage in half until they find a priest to cure them. If people want to force vamps to feed to interact with NPCs, we should also be able to feed off players. That way everybody suffers! Hooray!

And I say "So What?" They can play the game any way they like. It's ridiculous that some people feel the need to tell other people how they should play a game they bought and are paying for. I should make all 7 of my characters vampires. Really, I don't think any will be a vampire unless I make a Dunmer. Now I will have some who will be werewolves. Going to tell me that I can't do that?

Vampire and Werewolf is more of a RP thing,

Y'know....maybe THIS is why I don't get much RP in this game.

I refuse to even acknowledge cheesy, stupid Team Twilight players.
I am not spending a single penny on the game until changes are made to the game that I want to see.
    1) Remove having to be in a guild to sell items to other players at a kiosk.
    2) Cosmetic modding for armor and clothing.
    3) Difficulty slider.
    4) Fully customizable player housing that isn't tied to anything in the game other than having the correct resources and enough gold to build. Don't tie it to PvP, guild membership, or anything at all. Oh, make it instanced so as not to take up world map space, too. Zeni screwed this one up already.
Any /one/ of these things implemented would get me spending again, maybe even subbing.

I am a vamp / templar build with fire resist to mitigate the % debuff, and I have to say once you hit the hard cap there really are ZERO down sides to it.

U still receive 50% more damage from fire attacks after mitigation, compared to a none vampire, but yes if u reduce the incoming fire damage enough it does not matter too much if u loose 100 or 150 HP.

That's cute! What is the damage after the vamp throws on a 1000 pt fire resist ring that costs them 3-4k gold?
