@Melian‌ I absolutely love your list, but this one here is my favorite.

There's something really amazing about how invisible the overall UI is while I'm just wandering around. My screen isn't a jumble of portraits, icons, actionbars, minimaps, floating numbers, buff/debuff icons, or really anything else.

The transparency of the UI is simply amazing. Even in combat, like you said, I'm paying attention to everything around me, rather than just a stack of health bars.

I wish I could "Awesome" your comment a hundred times!! =)

I completely agree! I am so glad that I first discovered this game in beta phase. I'm older, but have never played any console or other MMOs before, so despite my age, I'm just a" newbie gaming kid." lol I love this game; I understand there are bugs in everything; I appreciate the devs for their conscientiousness and active role in regular server maintenance AND their quick Support team response to any questions I have ever asked them since beta.! I'm a happy, solid ESO gamer and look forward to participating with other players to keep helping our game improve while developing some great player2player comradery in the game now that I feel comfortable playing solo PvE. Cheers

Agreed, this is exactly why I couldn't stand playing a healer in WoW. Most classes I spent more time looking for UI visual cues than taking in anything about the game world or fight at hand, but healing... Honestly, they could take the healing game offline and give me an app for my phone where I just touch health bars that randomly go up and down. Maybe put some different heal icons at the bottom, really deepen the experience.

    +1!

Loving it so far, this is just the breath of fresh air I needed in my MMO collection. Bugs I've dealt with, happen to see the bot numbers dropping a bit, which only improves my enjoyment. Just wish I had more time to play

Not a day goes by that this game doesn't amaze me. This is really a yet-to-be-finished Herculian feat, to put this beast together in the first place; well written, an intelligent game.

The community is first-rate; ask a question people get out of the way to help and advice; in over your head - they never mind one tagging along or jump in and even the odds.

The foundation is there for a great run, lucky us.

The hate toward TESO started well before release (I suppose because it's P2P or NOT Skyrim coop, dunno). before the NDA drop external forums were alight with the flames trolls would bring on, full of lies. Then after the NDA dropped, there was a lull but it was very short.

Go have a look at mmorpg.com, there is people who dedicate a good part of their day to creating troll posts, raging against "delusional fanbois", obsessed by a game they don't even play.

    Scary ***

    .

Some good items.. I would say the massing battles with no lag well massive battles... there is lag though but its not unbearable.

but items I like... if you have hirelings for instance... some of the emails they send you are funny as hell.. my favorite is my woodworking hireling Pacrooti.
I get some funny emails from him and also from the provisioning hireling who constantly has bad things happen.
Some great work on that stuff for whoever designed that.

Also some of the quests that put you in the ethical dilemma. I forget the quest where your ally suggests sacrificing a reachman to open some portal or whatever and you go get him out of a cage and he is talking about how he hates this war and wants to go back to his two daughters... he really lays it on thick.

    Some good stuff good characters.
Honestly to me the armor looks better than it did in Skyrim ( that's just my opinion ) and the bard music in the inns they actually got better singers for ESO than Skyrim had also.

PVP/RVR, hey the mass wars.. I played DAOC, I played Warhammer I played GW2 etc.. Improvements can be made but its a lot of fun as it is.

The game has its problems but overall im pretty damn pleased with it.

I felt I had to make some post from players who actually enjoy the hell out of ESO.
Most posts on these forums seams to be negative about this and that.

Please people who enjoy the game like I do, reply or rate this post!
I do not think the whiners who seams to be the majority here IS the majority of players. I believe most players like the game so much, the don't have time to go here!

Several years ago I read an article on forum behaviour in MMOs. It was a serious research article, and pointed out that only something like 20% of players ever go onto MMO forums. And of those 20%, whilst some people visit forums to ask questions about gameplay, most people go onto the forums to complain about something.

The article suggested that the remaining 80% who do not visit forums, are either happy with the game, or else are happy to put up with the number of bugs/problems.

So if you are worried about the fact that there are very few positive posts, cheer yourself up by saying that 80% of ESO players are happy - or, if not happy, are at least prepared to give the developers more time to iron out problems.

The bulk of the players who enjoy the game are playing it rather than reading/posting on the forums, so it's easy to get a negative feeling from the community in the forums because many of them are here because they're upset or frustrated about some aspect of the game.

It's nice to see people trying to be positive, so please, keep it up!

Very true. I only ever come here when there is maintenance. Otherwise, why waste my time on forums when I can actually PLAY? Very true that 90% of the forums is not representative of 90% of the playerbase.

Not to mention that people (myself included) are much more likely to respond or open a new post if they want to complain, than if they want to appreciate something. Same in IRL. Human nature.

if you think I am a troll I ask why would I pay $80 to come here and ruin your day ?

Well, to answer that question; Because that's what trolls do.

I came from SWTOR, and as a huge Star Wars fangirl, I wanted that game to be everything that I hoped it could be. The thing that killed SWTOR for me was how it turned into one giant cartel coin marketplace. The entire game seemed to revolve around buying things off the cartel market, posting them for sale in-game, buying out items in-game, relisting those for sale in-game, rinse and repeat.

It got so bad that I ended up seeing the most ridiculous things, like horrible-looking mounts/speeders, selling for upwards of 75 million credits. That game's economy had a complete meltdown.

That game should be renamed Shop Wars: The Galactic Marketplace.

100% agree. Let's hope this game never goes f2p.

it,s human nature to want to complain more than praise. in retail they know that an unhappy customer tells 10 times more folk than a happy one. This is magnified on forums due to the fact that if your happy you are more likely to be playing than on the forum

Indeed. I've also done my fair share of complaining or worrying about this and that here in the forums.
Nonetheless, I love this game and this thread is a great way to bring something positive to a place which is usually full of negativity due to its nature.

I love ESO too, but I don't see one feature in it that makes it remotely a 'new type of game'.

Sure, it isn't a blatant WOW-ripoff like Rift or LOTRO, but I see no 'new type' of game here. In some ways it's like GW2 with a very simplistic gameplay (5+1 skills doesn't make for a great deal of variation in how you tackle fights).

Care to explain what is so 'new'?

I love this comment and it is for this reason I will stay with ESO most of all.

I also really like the combat. I want to do everything, I'm not sure 8 characters will be enough. Each class has at least three different builds so that's a minimum of 12 characters and that doesn't even include Vamps and WW & guild skills. Not to mention further expansion.

So far I'm working on A ranged Templar that also heals (PVP) and a Tank Nightblade (PVE), both of which I am thoroughly enjoying.

I do really want to see alternative ways to level. Questing is all well and good, but will get repetitive pretty soon. This is my only real concern and why the VR parts are not good in my opinion. I like to keep my factions separate and am not thrilled that I will need to complete each factions quest-line to reach the level cap.

Honestly though, I can't understand all the change the UI to be like WoW threads. EVERYONE is board of WoW. My biggest reason for not enjoying SWTOR was because it felt like I was playing WoW. I can't say the same about ESO and for that I am truly grateful, even if I do moan about the bugs/bots a little.

    Sure

    1. The Guild system
    2. The Skill-trees. You can even find "new" ways of getting additional skill trees
    3. AI from the world mobs. Ever been to an instance? The way AI works is oustanding
    4. Phaseing for a megaserver. Not even Eve has that which currently has the biggest population on one server.

Also, I say "new" feature about other games ideas which Zenimax improved on, like the PVP, which is simular to DoaC and Warhammer online.

The biggest "new" feature, which you can find in many single player game, is the fact that you build your character exactly how you want. You get good at the skills you use. And I am not sure I have seen "morphing" skills, but that may also been an idea they polished and made good.

Saying that ESO is a rip off from guildwars is like saying Football is a ripoff of hockey. Guildwars is a prime PVP game. Very little Pve content.
