ESO is a great game!

Hi everyone!

I felt I had to make some post from players who actually enjoy the hell out of ESO.
They already working with the game, bugs, features, even releasing new content and more to come!

Most posts on these forums seams to be negative about this and that. Most of them without any sort of suggestion how to improve it (Other then turn it into WoW).

Eso is an awesome new type of game! I love it, with bugs and all!
This is most likely my new home for possibly years to come!

Please people who enjoy the game like I do, reply or rate this post!
I do not think the whiners who seams to be the majority here IS the majority of players. I believe most players like the game so much, the don't have time to go here!

Best regards

Trolls will always be around. They are quite resilient and regenerate quickly. :)

You just gotta learn to tone them out. While fire may kill them in game, on the forums you have to starve them out by ignoring them.

From what I have seen ESO has a bit more than your standard trolls...there seems to be a serious hate campaign, but hopefully they will move on to Wildstar or Archage soon and bash that

People like to pick on the new kid on the block. I don't see it as anything that indicates anything different about the game itself from other games. It's just the result of the growing problem of mindless zombies who idolize YouTube celebrities.

Ok, fair enough. Take away the "ratings". I have enough of those and don't care much.

BUT my post is sinsear. I do believe the vast majority of this game loves it. The posts on these forums seams to move towards it's not a good game.

I simply wanted people, like myself, voice our opinion that we enjoy the game.

You might have seen my name in zone chat, yes. I do get into discussions every now and then WHICH you can do in this game. Very few games who has "general" chat in game worth even looking at.

I don't think anyone doubted your sincerity. :)

The bulk of the players who enjoy the game are playing it rather than reading/posting on the forums, so it's easy to get a negative feeling from the community in the forums because many of them are here because they're upset or frustrated about some aspect of the game.

It's nice to see people trying to be positive, so please, keep it up!

Yea, I want to say that you made a great game overall. Personally I lost my heart in the quests in Malabal Tor  For example I found the quest to safe the soul of the former green lady so sweet and a very nice story, and I hope that the one who made this quest reads this!!! Thank you alot for this beautiful experience!!!

Yes the game is pretty good. Are there things that need to be fixed? Sure, but the devs show every sign of working on most of them.

As for the whinging you see that happens in pretty much every single MMO because there seems to be some people looking for their dream MMO and when a new one isn't that they rip on it in the forums until their time expires. ::shrug:: the hate happens in every single new MMO.

All those trolls and kids screaming Zeni is doing noting, game goes f2p etc etc should have a quick look at what is coming to PTS. Patch notes have size of small book, and i really want to see them complaining that devs are doing nothing after reading it.
Issues and problems exist, of course they are, but if devs are working on it, all they need is a bit of trust, and some time. Sadly, most people cant understand that there is no ''Instant Fix All Bugs'' or '' Instant Kill All Bots'' button...

They did a pretty damn good job on bots! Sure, there still are bots, but now regular people can camp, go there to kill etc. The bots do not ruin the game as much. And I am SURE they keep working on making the game as bot-unfriendly as possible.

    I'm having a great time!

I left SWTOR to come here (tried WoW, and hated it. Boyfriend still plays it).

The hardest part for me is the fact that the angry minority is trying so hard to take away the aspects of the game that I enjoy the most; The guild stores in particular.

I love wandering around, and finding some random note on the ground starting a new quest. Or walking along a field, and some NPC just runs up to me out of nowhere and asks for my help. It seems so dynamic and spontaneous at times.

Combat is extraordinarily hard for me, but I don't think it's bad at all. I just suck at it. But I still enjoy it. I can see it being a factor in the end-game, and it'll really filter out a lot of the "stand n nuke" players. I'm sure that the people who thrive in the end-game will be the ones who really pay attention to raid awareness and utility, as opposed to pure dps output.

All in all, this is probably the most fun I've ever had in any MMO.

I'm personally loving this game, it's truly a breath of fresh air in the suffocating crowd of F2P games we've been seeing recently.

Zenimax is trying something different and they should be commended for it. Yes, there are bugs and problems, but I really think they will work them out and in a few months time, those of us with patience will enjoy an even more glorious experience!

Honestly i have played more mmos then i care to remember. None managed to hold my intrest other then GW2 and ESO. The game is great and honestly it is a lot of fun. There will always be people claiming it sucks and trying to convince people not to play it. I have seen quite a few people not buy it because they heard it sucks, and honestly if they are going to let someone else's word or review make up their mind then well..shame on them.

Such a pleasure to read this thread after all looking at all the complainers' posts! I LOVE this game. SO much variety. Some evenings I don't feel like hacking and slashing so I take long walks around the place just looking for chests, ingredients, NPCs to talk to to get their comments, stories. Other evenings I might spend in the towns bumping up my crafting stats. Apart from adding more quests and areas maybe to search around, I think this game will be the next few months, maybe even years of my life. (will take a short break for The Witcher 3, of course). I hope the Developers read this thread and don't change the game. If it ain't broke and all that.........

I have played the game every day since early access began. I haven't gotten to 50, or any VR levels...I haven't even set foot in Cyrodiil to PvP( went there to see if I could shop at a guild store without being a member of a guild...nope) and I'm having a ball. One character per faction, and I'm trying unorthodox builds....and having a blast doing it.

I'll play it for as long as it stays P2P. The very MOMENT it goes F2P is when I stop playing it.
I am not spending a single penny on the game until changes are made to the game that I want to see.
    1) Remove having to be in a guild to sell items to other players at a kiosk.
    2) Cosmetic modding for armor and clothing.
    3) Difficulty slider.
    4) Fully customizable player housing that isn't tied to anything in the game other than having the correct resources and enough gold to build. Don't tie it to PvP, guild membership, or anything at all. Oh, make it instanced so as not to take up world map space, too. Zeni screwed this one up already.
Any /one/ of these things implemented would get me spending again, maybe even subbing.

I love the game too! It's got it's issues, but every MMO launch does. I've stated it multiple times in various threads.. but this is the first MMO that actually has me exploring and paying attention to things around me. I paid attention to quests in SWTOR for a little while, at least the story ones.. but about mid way through I started skipping everything. Hasn't happened yet here, even with me paying attention to side quests and reading things when the fancy strikes. Level 43 now :)

Despite the bugs and Zen tripping up at the gate, I'm having fun with the limited time I have with game. One thing they managed to get right in my eyes is the world. It's just great to go out and explore a little and then head back to town and sell your things.

I guess I should add crafting as well, since I'm out exploring and having fun collecting ingredients and such and bringing them back to town and going to the stations. I played Rift for awhile, but the world was pretty dull and I felt somewhat confined to where I could go.

If Zen can keep up on the bugs and enhance the overall experience as time goes by, then I will definitely stick to the game. I also need to find a casual guild to join seeing as I'm getting close to lvl 20. It's starting to get a little lonely. I'm glad a lot of others ard enjoying it as well.

    Good thread.

These forums, like every other in every game, quickly get run over by those not liking the game, and with much dramatic flair (and oftentimes aggression) share with the world at large their PERSONAL reasons why, as if the reasons are of major importance to humankind.

Close the computer, go out to the real world and feel how large it is and how small we individually really are (aka a dose of humility).

Thought I would add my two cents, I am loving it too! I started 5 day early access and have over 7 days total in game play. I am still only level 35 DK with the Pact. Some complain that leveling is slow, I am thankful for it and in a way sad I only have 15 more until 50. I am 4 levels over my current quests but dont care. I am Listening to all Dialog and enjoying every inch of all the zones. I am hoping to time my Veteran status with the launch of Cragmore. Thanks OP for starting a positive post and thanks Zen for creating a world I plan on playing in for some time.

Sorry but I have not been happy with it and if you think I am a troll I ask why would I pay $80 to come here and ruin your day ? the game is not a good mmo in fact its the most unfriendly multiplayer game I have played in a long time (and I played Dragons Prophete for 8 months @.@). Think I will go back to SWTOR it was still more fun than this and I really wanted this to work because I love Skyrim and still play it a lot. The game has so many things right and so many things really wrong it just frustrates me to logon and end up pulling my hair out for all the bad parts that make me quit playing, I just want to have fun here its what I was paying for.

Well, to answer that question; Because that's what trolls do.

I came from SWTOR, and as a huge Star Wars fangirl, I wanted that game to be everything that I hoped it could be. The thing that killed SWTOR for me was how it turned into one giant cartel coin marketplace. The entire game seemed to revolve around buying things off the cartel market, posting them for sale in-game, buying out items in-game, relisting those for sale in-game, rinse and repeat.

It got so bad that I ended up seeing the most ridiculous things, like horrible-looking mounts/speeders, selling for upwards of 75 million credits. That game's economy had a complete meltdown.

That game should be renamed Shop Wars: The Galactic Marketplace.
