Again.. it's not about a bug. Maybe I need to start cutting and pasting this.
It's about the EXPLOITING players did with the bug.
They got a shortcut, "getting the upper hand on others" isn't really an issue. How is one player leveling up faster than another an exploit? It's a time-saver, it makes no difference if you're just starting PvP and you're up against a player who has been playing for years and has like CP over 9000! vs you going against a player who also just started but has CP from a bug.
They may have an advantage over you, and it might be frustrating that the other new player doesn't have to grind, but if the 'advantage' you mention is really an issue, for the sake of balancing, wouldn't you think that PvP should be unavailable to all until they reach max level?
There are PvP zones without CP anyway, and regardless, if a player gets CP for free from a bug, it makes no difference in that "advantage" you're so salty about in a game where power level comes from builds.
An "advantage" would be if a player made an exploit to spawn with Volendrung in Cyrodiil, an "advantage" would be to get in Cyrodiil without battle spirit, or with emperor buffs.
So no, players abusing a free CP bug introduced by ZOS is NOT an exploit to gain an advantage over you, and neither should they be banned. They're not hurting anyone by taking a shortcut to a build they would've had to grind for.0 -
Thor✭✭✭They should just run through the database, chars with level < spent points should be reset and those with level << spent points (by let's say 1000) should be deleted completely. Probably doable online.0 -
