Housing, character customization, and questing on the other hand deserve a solid 9/10. Very well done.

Swg......No game has ever been anything like it. Also the crafting and housing system were top notch. Those were the days.....

I have played a few of the others including ff14 and new life, but neither is as good as ESO. The combat is novel, its empowering, its stimulating, its interesting, its deep. The end game content is fun and challenging, albeit new raids are too sparse. IMO. The graphics continue to improve. I got one of them fancy new graphics cards and cranked the graphics up and turned on the new antialiasing, and the game looks gorgeous in 4k in the newer zones. I know I am not alone in hope the older zones and textures get a little update and polish. I was playing new world and their game sucks. the leveling experience sucks. the company is completely disconnected from the players and the experience. I know people have said that ZOS in the past, but after a taste of what AGS I have a new appreciation for what you have created and given to us. Really my only complaint with the game is the awful performance in PVP. I have been playing long enough that I remember being able to play in cyrodil on a friday or saturday night with huge responsive faction v faction battles. Its been a while since then, but I hope you guys figure out the PVP performance thing, that would be awesome.
I miss the class mechanics from Lord of the Rings Online.
Off-Healer, Buff and Debuff classes were far more engaging to play there.
That being said, I've been playing THIS game since Beta, so it must have done something terribly right

I am in Britain and I am getting 73 ms. 73. My normal ping is the vast majority of games is between 21 and 35. This is the case as well in other MMORPGs. .

So I disagree here with quite a bit.
Content wise ESO has nothing on a game like ff14. Ff14 is about to launch another dlc that will have 5 huge new zones and deep story along with it. The story usually takes 30+ hours where when a eso chapter drops you can finish the main story in 3-5 hours. It only has one zone so just on that comparison alone the content is actually weak. Ff14 also drops new content without needing to purchase extra chapters. Usually each dlc major dlc has 5 full dungeons, has some trial arena fights, and then they continue it usually with 1 new trial fight along with new dungeon. Eso again just doesn't compete there.
Server stability is just utter trash. A lot of load times are "incredibly long load times" and make you want to rip your hair out. So many basic glitches that have been in the game since launch that never get addressed. That is pathetic to be fair. Dlc just keeps rolling out even though if glitches are reported on test they continue to roll it out anyways. Necro took 1 full year to get fixed on blastbones.....ff14 doesn't have this problem much. Sure sometimes there will be lag spikes but most part the game can run fine even in 24 man dungeons....... If you put 24 people spamming abilities together in one spot you get how cyrodil acts where it freezes up.
They focus too much on crown store. If there is a problem there it is fixed extremely quick tho.....what exactly are they doing with that money everyone invests? It def doesn't go back into fixing the server and making it more stable. So again is this the best MMO ever? Not even close.
This game was amazing the first year. The servers were super good. You could have full blown fights in cyrodil where the ENTIRE pop locked zone could be at one spot and it worked so smoothly. And again anyone here since beta knows there wasn't much here endgame pve wise because cyrodil was endgame. They had craglorn I believe later introduced or maybe the trials arrived after. But in craglorn you actually needed a GROUP to survive.
The way the game is catered now is just crazy. You can solo a lot of stuff (even vet dungeons) idk just my thoughts comparing it to only one game. In it's prime eso ran smoothly and was really amazing but as it evolved and wasn't taken care of the game fell off hard in comparison to other games. Nothing will ever touch a ff11 or ff14 story they are so in depth that in 14 the story is just now wrapping up from I think a 8 year story......... If that's not deep than what is? Eso little yeah 1 zone and small add ONS can't even touch that at all
PvP is the biggest problem for the game honestly in terms of performance but I have started to notice its creeping into PvE a lot too.
Comparatively compared to when I DPS'ed a year ago to doing so now, there is a noticeable lag in abilities meaning my light attacks just refuse to go off when I actually click between abilities. For a magblade or just anyone really I guess, a lot of your damage comes from your light weaving or medium weaving, it makes up for a lot of DPS so when your skill isn't the problem and the latency is then its pretty bad.

So they definitely have a problem that needs fixing, I am just not sure they know how to based on the fact its been pretty much the same since after the first year of the game. Though during the first year the lag was not that bad at all.
