As said above, the nameplates are VITAL for the game, I don't understand why would you ignore such a majority of the player base?
I don't accept the excuse of immersion, its just stupid, I believe that MANY MORE will simply quit eventually without such feature.
Its like ZeniMax on purpose want the game to fall down, the game has HUGE potential, it is obviouslly 10 times better than WoW but those small things which prevent you from having social life in the game are going to be its downfall.
It is NOT fun to play alone.
We feel like running around empty shells, I can't even recall who is next to me, I haven't made a single friend around as I can't communicate with ANYONE AROUND ME and therefore I haven't made a single new friend so far who I didn't knew before the game launched.
More further, the idea of that I have to run after someone just to ask for help in order to whisper them, people IGNORE /say/yell, check statistics and I believe 98% of the players don't even use them as their 100% useless if you don't know who around of all the empty shells said them.
For example:
I had a problem with some Quest, I wanted to ask for help and I found my self running after at least 6 people in order to be close enough to them to even ask them to help me out but I failed and had to wait for another guy to do the quest as well in order to achieve it and even then without saying a single word to each other, not just it DOES NOT reflect any real life element, its make the game look lonely and robotic.
Do not ignore us and add the feature back as soon as possible, every day cause damage to the majority of the players.

So, ultimately, it is an Elder Scrolls game.SuperScrubby wrote: »Ultimately this game is still an MMO and by having things that helps facilitate communication with others is usually the best rule of thumb. If you want to play a game where you don't know who is around you, then why even pay the fee to play an mmo. You could just play a game with AI if you don't plan on interacting.
Not to mention zone chat is completely and utterly spammed by tons of people. As of right now I can't even tell people apart that are wearing heavy armor since a lot of people look similar unless they have a tail poking out. So while immersion is nice and some people value that over everything else, gotta have options for the rest of the players.
.....I do believe that ESO is a video game and not real life.One-Winged wrote: »Do you see people's name above their head in real life? NO, SO GET OVER IT THEN!
This thread is preposterous. There is other stuff that should be prioritized over this.

If people want immersion let them have it if not let them have that. Alas they still not have done it, we can hope. Oh and if they are monitoring the post, and decide to add nameplates, please let guild players names be in a different color, much easier to see if large groups.
