In a few very limited situations it might be useful. However, WOW proved that when you add in-game voice chat that is tied to being logged into the game, noone uses it. Because you get disconnected from it when you relog, that fact right there means noone ever uses it for serious group content.
That in itself is a huge plus as far as I'm concerned. I want to comm on the run to others. Be that in an organized group outing or a random dungeon around complete strangers.daneyulebub17_ESO wrote: »and without going out of the game to fiddle around with things.

So I would like to the an ingame VOIP
THIS 100 percent! A local voice chat option would be fantastic, kind of like the "Say" option in game, you can only hear people that are relatively close to you, and the ability to start "Party chat" like xbox live would be great as well. We are paying for a service, more than xbox live actually, so why not get voice chat?daneyulebub17_ESO wrote: »Why we DO need in game voice chat--

I agree with this.
No. And here's why. Because 99% people won't use it. Look at other mmos. I have played a lot of them and some of them have ingame voice chat but almost noone uses it. Everyone will still prefer TS, Mumble, Ventrillo etc.
there are so many bloody vents now that a common one for casual grouping wouldnt hurt as it is a pain to get everyone in the same page. but to be honest, if its such a random short lived pug what on earth do you need to voice chat with them about? hey, go there, kill that boss? its understood
