Such a campaign would have a lot of advantages

1 More loyalty to a faction
2 Less low pop bonus abuse
3 Less night capping by reloggers
    4 Less spying
    5 Less queue avoidance
    6 Less "quiter" mentality

    GM - Decimation Elite - Ebonheart Pact - Ravenwatch EU/PC - aka Tigor (AR50), Leopard Tank (AR50) , Captain-Caveman (AR50), Tigors Claw (AR50), -Bud Spencer (AR38+)

    That's interesting.

Maybe there are faction specific differences after all. A faction lock would not be deemed important on DC side (Ravenwatch PC EU), since almost all guilds here enforce a soft lock themselves. Not out of faction loyality, but to avoid internal conflict.

DDK is the Daggerfall Covenant´s last line of defense on the 30 days no-cp campaign (EU). We intend to fight epic battles in small, casual player friendly raid groups.

In DE it is a prerequisit to play on the pact side only. That prevents spying. Reading the pact zone chat makes clear that an alliance lock would create more trust in cooperation as well.

Gray Host (EU) have been faction locked for quite some time. The changes before and after were limited, it did introduce higher loyalty, and reduced scroll trolls and maybe spying. Still nothing changed regarding the campaign results. It may even have contributed to the DC exodus since, there were less people loyal to DC compared to the other factions to begin with and thus the chance to win the campaign, went down to zero.

That is the true fate of a campaign without anyone playing to balance it. Too bad players continue to think otherwise...

To be fair I do not think that this is the case right now as getting second or third account is ultimately cheap (no need for any dlc, no sub) so any of those so called loyal to alliance players may just have multiple accounts and switch between them as they please.

However being able to join with single account one alliance and a few days later before campaign ends switching alliances with that particular account is ofc another thing.

I wouldn't prefer it. I'd still like to have a place to help out friends who happen to be another alliance and like, need AP to get a monster helmet, or want to try their hand at PVP. The Ravenwatch server is perfect for this as the restrictions imposed upon it (no procs, no CP, no Volendrung) make it the go-to server to help newer players get into PVP, which is something I couldn't do as easily if I had to commit to a faction.

This is perhaps a purely selfish perspective, but as someone who has played extensively in both Ravenwatch and Gray Host, I don't think the difference is that significant that even more restrictions are warranted.

I just like alliance locked because AD is honest and pure, and those EP and DC are cursed evil trolls with blackness in their hearts.

Completely agree with this Tigor - and getting rid of the recurrent trolls in the zonechat who are open about their actual allegiance and come on to try to aggravate another alliance would be a winner
