Geez, I can really pay some crowns for having this feature and I will never pay character change token just to one-time change color of hair, because it would be ridicoulous. How many people use this tokens just for hair? They can earn more be realsing this feature and I don't know why they don't do it, when players wants to give them money for this...

There is a tiny chance that ZOS may add something for free that is not yet available in the game at all. There is almost zero chance that ZOS will add something for free that is already in the crown store. Do they have any reason to cut their profits?

No. There’s enough in the Crown Store. WoW and probably many other games added NPCs for this decades ago, no reason to charge for it.
We already have an Appearance Change Token in the crown store. Does it really matter whether to use it from character screen or from some barber NPC?

I'd rather not cling on tiny chances, even if they throw something free in the login rewards as one example, it still doesn't change the fact of opening up other possibilities for everyone. Why does character customisation always have to go through the crown store? People will still buy from the store even if there was in-game options available. ZoS isn't hurting in the profile department are they?

Yes, it matters to some of us.
It doesn't matter whether the barber shop is paid with crowns or in-game gold, but if given the choice between going to a barber for a makeover or buying a token and doing it from character selection I'd take the more immersive option (the barber) anytime.

It doesn't always have to in store, but it is already in the store and for a long time. Asking it for free is just like asking for a bottle of wine for free in some alco-shop. It may have discount, it may be given as part of some promo, but seriously expecting to get it for free after asking is unrealistic. ZOS has given some tokens for free after the significant race passives change.

Oh I am not asking for anything to become free my friend, simply having the option to change appearance at a barber shop for gold is completely fine. I even encourage the possibility to obtain similar things or variations of crown store items to be earned in-game as the achievement rewards look empty but that is a different subject.

"For gold" = "for free" from the seller (game company) point of view.

WoW is sub to play, so they don't need to sell you basic services like changing your character appearance, because they make a guaranteed sale on your subscription each month. This is why I prefer that business model over the buy to play variant personally.
