It's time for a barber shop

I believe barber shop is one of the most basic things a mmo has but we dont have it in ESO. ESO has such a diversity in fashion section but we had to pay 1000 crown to change even our hair color. Please ZOS, its time to be a built-in function as other mmos has.

They can even sale in crown store "hair colors pack" just for having possibility to change anytime colors like hair styles. Geez, I can really pay some crowns for having this feature and I will never pay character change token just to one-time change color of hair, because it would be ridicoulous. How many people use this tokens just for hair? They can earn more be realsing this feature and I don't know why they don't do it, when players wants to give them money for this...

The cosmetic packs is kinda ESO's version of it. It would just need a hair colour pack.

A barber shop should have been introduced early with most of the vanilla hairstyles available for gold, or staying close to TES games then an NPC ""The Face Sculptor" might be good.

No. There’s enough in the Crown Store. WoW and probably many other games added NPCs for this decades ago, no reason to charge for it.

Hair style are already in crown store so I don't count for full barber shop in game, but for free possibilities they can just add "dye hair" option in outfit/dye station which even have some logic in it :D

We already have an Appearance Change Token in the crown store. Does it really matter whether to use it from character screen or from some barber NPC?

There is a tiny chance that ZOS may add something for free that is not yet available in the game at all. There is almost zero chance that ZOS will add something for free that is already in the crown store. Do they have any reason to cut their profits?

I'd rather not cling on tiny chances, even if they throw something free in the login rewards as one example, it still doesn't change the fact of opening up other possibilities for everyone. Why does character customisation always have to go through the crown store? People will still buy from the store even if there was in-game options available. ZoS isn't hurting in the profile department are they?

WoW is sub to play, so they don't need to sell you basic services like changing your character appearance, because they make a guaranteed sale on your subscription each month. This is why I prefer that business model over the buy to play variant personally.

This is a pretty basic thing for MMO and should be outside the store.
Sometimes you want to change something in your character at least a little, but you have no opportunity.
Also after creating the character, you can notice that you did not choose the right voice, the hair color does not look the same under different lighting, etc., and you can no longer do anything

IF they really wanted to make money with it, they could sell an NPC you can put in your house like banker/merchant.
I sadly do not expect something like this to be free, as much as it should be, that way you at least have unlimited access to it + your friends/guildies since you could put it down in your house.

Yes, it matters to some of us.

It doesn't matter whether the barber shop is paid with crowns or in-game gold, but if given the choice between going to a barber for a makeover or buying a token and doing it from character selection I'd take the more immersive option (the barber) anytime.

It doesn't always have to in store, but it is already in the store and for a long time. Asking it for free is just like asking for a bottle of wine for free in some alco-shop. It may have discount, it may be given as part of some promo, but seriously expecting to get it for free after asking is unrealistic. ZOS has given some tokens for free after the significant race passives change.

In case of barber for crowns I expect it to use the same token (bought before the use of barber) and a dialogue option "Change hair cut [Appearance Change Token]" (just like the bribe option, but with token instead of gold).

Oh I am not asking for anything to become free my friend, simply having the option to change appearance at a barber shop for gold is completely fine. I even encourage the possibility to obtain similar things or variations of crown store items to be earned in-game as the achievement rewards look empty but that is a different subject.

      Want something cooler?
Make it a skill we can learn. You can learn different hairstyles that are not useable in the character creator for master barbers. Make it use "barber supplies" or something that will encourage players to pay gold for it , so it will be a viable option to have income on the side and it will promote even more healthy interaction between players.

So you start off with learning all the basic ones we already have, after you complete your "barber training" you get to unlock new hair styles we normaly have no access to.

And gold is earned during a players time playing the game which is just as valuable. I shall make this my last comment on the topic as to not deviate from the subject, but I honestly think ZoS dropping the subscription model was a bad choice as someone mentioned in one of the comments above.

Have sort of 'had to' use the appearance change token 2x due to it being a beta character and vampirism suddenly making eyes bulge after some patch or other BUT

this last time (few months back) on same character after dropping vamp and finding slits for eyes etc *shiver*
pay that 1k crowns yet again and the creation screen straight up lied to me, lol.

My finished on screen product (in the adjustment screen) looked absolutely nothing like what was presented me on character select immediately after I'd finished my adjustments o.O

Was so angry that I would have to now make a ticket and go through all of that back and forth to get my crowns back but when I logged into the game, character did not look too bad. NOTHING LIKE EITHER SCREEN THOUGH!

So, yeah, barber shop please, for gold, please. Your character adjustment system is broken AH.

It borders on predatory when every little item costs money. And this game in particular already charges astronomical prices for things. We have many items that are worth more than the game itself. Plus ZOS already set precedence giving us the ability to dye armor for free with the outfit station. The same could be done for a barber.
