Ugh, this bothers me so much, lol. It's like Zos did not even instruct how some lines should be read/preview the voice acting. I'm going to probably end up replacing her, not even sure why I got her tbh.
read what I just said before deleting poor ezabi. Also if you put her on a redguard pillow at home she will lay down perfectly on it when you speak to her then rise again in the middle crushed part...it's perfect

if she was saying it that way then there wouldn't be a comma after no thief...that would imply that both the text and voice acting are wrong with that 1 line which I don't think is the case...you're all just understanding it wrong because crazy yoda cat speech

Parsing Khajiit-speak is a difficult endeavor for those who perhaps haven't played Khajiit for decades. Since I've played Khajiit any time I've had the chance, I get what she's saying just fine.1 -

No, I think you're hearing it wrong, or you're simply looking only at the subtitles. As someone already said, she is supposed to be saying that "she is no thief", but the actor read it wrong. I will be sending her back to Elsweyr at some point, it's not the only issue, her targeting is pretty annoying.0 -

then the line would be 'this one is no thief'. "No thief, this one" is like saying 'not them, me...your things are safer with me'
It's ok it took me a few times to understand because the VA delivers it wrong...on that we all agree lol

In any case, all Khajiit (except those inexplicably reared by - um - orcs, for instance) say things just as she does: by stating the end premise first, with the "this one", or "she", or her name after. So on this the end premise is "I'm not a thief."
Which makes sense, where Ezabi calling herself a thief when accepting one's treasures simply wouldn't make any sense at all.0 -

the rest of the line confirms I'm correct though...she's saying bankers are thieves, your things are safer with her then in some vault. If your understanding is correct then she would be saying she's not a thief, your things are safer with her then in some vault...which makes no sense because why would things be safer with a 'non-thief' then a vault? If you haven't heard the VA, then why are you saying she is speaking in the correct context? But you're not right, she is saying, (or supposed to be saying) she is no thief, trust her. But what people are not understanding is it is not the subtitles that is wrong, it is the way the line is spoken that is wrong. It's not even the khajiit talk that we're talking about, we know how khajiit talk. The line is just spoken in the incorrect context.0 -
