Banker crow(Baron Jangleplume) or Banker cat(Ezabi)

Which banker npc between these two do you prefer and why?

Just curious on everyone's opinion.

I have the cat assistants and don’t find birds appealing. In a perfect world players would unlock assistants through gameplay then have the option to unlock additional skins through both gameplay and the crown store. Hopefully they are able to pick up the pace adding more choices before the years up.

Always go Crow, cats are just lazy vicious ambush predators. Like spiders but with a bigger fan club.

I don't have the crow banker, so I can't speak to that. I have Ezabi, and her voice acting always makes me smiley, it's sounds comically cartoon-ish. The only downside is that she's quite small and you have to target the camera downwards. For ease of targetting alone Tythis is great. Poor Tythis, so many blows to his dignity with yet another batch of assistants. No wonder he's getting bald...

The cat voice acting is pretty terrible, in my opinion. One of them says "NO THIEF!!! THIS ONE!!!" as if she's saying two different sentences, but really she's trying to say "No thief this one!"
I'd get the birds. The birds are excellent.

I have Thytis on EU, later got Ezabi on NA.

I wish I had bought Thytis instead, because Ezabi is very small and tends to run behind crates or tables.
It can take up to half a minute, until I can actually talk to her. She is cute for sure, but unpractical as banker.


Also note, that these personal bankers do NOT give you access to the guildstore, unlike the public bankers. I was pretty disappointed about this fact.

I have Ezabi on both accounts, both PC megaservers. I don't have a merchant so far, but I'll be getting the crow over the next little while for both accounts, both servers. I like crows in the game, though I'm not thrilled with corvids IRL - annoyingly noisy, and WAY too many of them around.

Ezabi makes for a good banker. Lazy ass feline wont go off with my stuff. A veracious hunting sense makes sure he is well fed in-between naps and bank items are protected.

Crow for merchant cause crow merchant is awesome. Vanilla Merchant Assistant has and will always be an annoying smug b in my eyes. She always got in the way during vet trails and dungeons, minus the laughs at her lack of fcks... Crow Merchant was an easy choice. Besides the crow pays me up front for loot, perches on my arm, and a bit more immersive as I be a well established crow friend to my crow brethren.

Overall, smaller assistant means less accidental clicks when looting in large groups.

Actually, since the patch dropped, I've found Ezabi is less likely to path wrong - she appears directly in front of my characters now, not too far away. I like it a lot better than it was before.

Ugh, this bothers me so much, lol. It's like Zos did not even instruct how some lines should be read/preview the voice acting. I'm going to probably end up replacing her, not even sure why I got her tbh.

I recently returned to ESO and bought the cat banker and merchant before hearing about the crow version. I'm not shelling out more crowns at the moment.

Yes, Ezabi is ruined by this stupid bit of voice acting. Her meaning is supposed to be, “This one is no thief.” Instead she gives the meaning, “No, you thief. Me!” Which is arrant nonsense.

I prefer the birds, too.

I did not have banker so I got the birb. For some reason Baron sounds rather loud to me compared to other bankers. Also I'd prefer some moar social distancing when it comes to flapping around. And sitting in mid air while beind interacted with is bit silly. Minor issues, rather that than another cat or humanoid.

I think the cats were the best but waaaay to expensive when you already have one. I have the originals and they’re good enough.

A friend gifted me the Ravens and much as it pains me to say this (because the Alfiq assistants are adorable) ZOS knocked it out of the park with the Ravens. They are very, very well done.

At minimum they could have at least added more skins for pets in general, let alone the assistants.

In LoTRO the Loremaster class and the Captain class for example, have pets which assist in battle. There are different skins available to each type of pet through applying a tome which is crafted in game by Jewelers. It doesn't change the type of pet, but rather the cosmetic appearance of each one. (Sorcs and wardens here could really use this) We know the skin we got for the Warden bear, so it is possible to do here.

If we had something similar that could also change the skin on merchants and bankers to different types, that would be great.

I doubt they would do this though, since the different types of bankers and merchants here are a source of revenue to the game just like the houseguests have become.

That really bothers me! There are so many instances of badly delivered lines in this game, where the emphasis is in the wrong place, that it baffles me the voice director didn't say "Let's try that one more time..."
And if they did, well...

Anyway, the alfiq still kinda freak me out. I still haven't gotten over the revelation that there are all these other kinds of Khajiit (i only played Skyrim before ESO, and none of these others were anywhere else in ESO either.) But I love every time the crows appear.

I really love to summon Ezabi and Fezez. I hope we'll have more Alfiq as houseguests. The crows? I wish I could afford them, but only to place at some Daedric-themed house as residents.Yet I don't regret much that I can't buy them now.
