I have been having issues for the last couple of days. When I talk to a quest giver, and select a dialogue option, it is like I mouse-clicked multiple times - all the dialogue flies by and I have no idea what the quest is or was. This has even happened for one of the "red" choices that can't be undone.

The "extra" clicks also occur when i am buying or selling (selling several things in my bag instead of the one i clicked. My mouse sensitivity is not set particularly high (default).

I happen to be one of those that actually reads dialogue and quests, and this is very disappointing to me. Please help.

Running Windows 8.1 on a Sony laptop, with a logitech G700 gaming mouse. This problem has only occurred within the last week.

Not in this game, but I've had this issue with that mouse, several of them in fact. Every single time logitech has replaced them free of charge.

Hmmm. A sudden mouse fail? That would suck.

If you have a backup mouse that would be the easiest way to test if it is hardware or...other.

Just check the mouse on other programs. Normally the failure repeats.
get another mouse then, it costs no biggy.

Check your os mouse settings? Make sure mouse acceleration is off and that snap to feature too

Right click desktop - personalise - change mouse pointers.

i have nothing for acceleration, it is at average speed, and snap to was off.

I do have to say that this particular mouse is worse than my other logitech. One randomly attacks, this one attacks and selects text.

K last shot - I did a google for you and found this -

Open Control Panel / Ease of Access Center / Make the mouse easier to use.

Remove the check mark from the "Activate a window by hovering over it with the mouse'' option. Apply/OK.

I had this issue too, using a Logitech G600 gaming mouse. My mouse was manufactured before November 2012, so the firmware was not upgradeable. I contacted Logitech customer support, since the double click issue is widely spread among the G-type mouses, and they offered a replacement with a an upgradeable G600. This issue happened only while running the Logitech gaming software, so it seems to be a conflict between this software and the outdated mouse firmware .

I was using a G700 (probably 2 1/2 years old)...I switched back to my G500 and had issues with autoattack but not dialogue. Bought a new G700 (now it is an S model) and so it can't be the age...it does the same as the old G700 (wasted $99).

I had not downloaded the software since switching laptops, so thought that might have some options in it...there are none (and the new software has less options than the old lol).

Sadly, there wasn't a check mark in the "activate by hovering", so that isn't it either.

I would say that there are compatibility issues with Logitech and ESO...which is not encouraging. I have a really hard time finding a proper mouse fit, and do not really want to buy an uncomfortable mouse for just one game.

Further research indicates this is a significant flaw in the logitech mice...so...since I have 2 of them that do exactly the same thing, wonder what the benefit of contacting logitech might be...in any case, I guess there isn't a fix in any software, it is all hardware. Will try to return I guess and just suck it up

I'm having issues kind of like this as well but I don't use mouse to choose my dialog options, I use keyboard.

I'm having the issue when using treasure chests. It's like my mouse clicks are bouncing gently. As though I'm tapping the mouse button at some really high speed and the little lock bounces up and down and I fail chests because of it.

    I use a Razer DeathAdder.

In the mean time, you might find the mod "Dialog Tweaks" helpful.
