Maintenance for the week of April 6:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – April 6

I can accept many things but 24 hours is unacceptable and quite inconceivable

I can accept waiting with a group of other players at some obscure delve boss for a chance to get a hit on him before the crowd turns him to dust for their scrying lead.
I can accept having to repeatedly farm a dungeon for a lead which can only be obtained by killing the last boss.
I can accept fighting thru professional farming groups, to obtain a lead.

Because all those things I can start and stop at will, I can start them and continue them thru out my scheduled time to play.

What I can not accept is the brotherhood supplier lead. No, not because I don't have the DLC, I do. Not because I don't have the points for the perk, I do.

because I get X amount of time per week to play and only 1 shot per 24 hours on a chance. That has got to go. Im not sure what you guys were going for here, heck I don't mind you making it to require the DLC but I do mind that its a 24 hour wait for a CHANCE.

Not every one has whale time to play ESO . I drive truck and when working I get about 2 days per 6=7 days out to be home and play.

Please at least make the chance higher for people who already have all the leads EXCEPT THE SHADOW SUPPLIER LEAD.

Yeah the design was stupid for the supplier, forced me to grind all of my chars for dark brotherhood in order to get the lead.

    20 hours, per toon.

You don't complain when motifs are on cool downs and it you're not getting them from the crown store then it takes 14 days with perfect luck to get a full DLC zone set.

You want to up your chances? Then just like with motifs do it again with additional characters.

Players build multiple crafters, multiple builds, do multiple skill lines over again, run skyshards again and again. It's really not much to just do Dark Brotherhood again if you want to double, triple, etc your chances.

Are you using the correct shadowy supplier? Fairly certain only the one in Vvardenfell works for the lead.

I checked in the wiki it is that mute lizard bloke that hangs around in Outlaws Refuges & gives you stuff each day like Sithis Armour or potions etc. I did not know we could get leads from him too. I never got one

One should not have to level multiple characters to obtain an enjoyable experience. Sure doing so offers a more robust enjoyment of various choices and skill lines however it should not be something that should be encouraged when trying to obtain an item for a main character.

To give you an idea, my character is level 1140 and was created back around the start of the year in 2014 like April or may sometime. Do you get my drift now? Leveling multiple characters just for a higher chance at an item for my main character should not be a part of the game or people should feel pushed to do just to have a normal experience.

The best part of ESO is its casual and power and whale player friendly. The skill level is the only factor that separates players but most players are content and don't feel pushed to keep up with " the jones" like other mmos do in order to have a good experience.

And you don't have to level multiple characters if you don't want to.. but then you gotta wait 20 hours between tries.. you choose what you want

I agree but is a 20 hour wait really necessary? That has got to be the most unique time sink outside of crafting research.

I agree with OP and feel his pain, it seems like everything Zos does lately is purposefully trying force people away from the game.

Honestly, I see no issue with it.. but then again, I've played many games with much much worse time sinks, so I might just be used to it..

I've gotten this lead 4 times (two accounts, and once each on both NA and EU, for four total)...
    • Main account, NA: 9th attempt
    • Main account, EU: 16th attempt
    • Second account, NA: 5th attempt
    • Second account, EU: 1st attempt

Quite a wide range there. But looking at the worst one--16 attempts--that's only a bit over 2 weeks, if you do one per day. It's not that bad, really.

The supplier's first option (sadly, the one that doesn't give the lead) is a nice source of alchemy mats, so I had it unlocked on multiple characters (9 characters on my NA main, 5 characters on my EU main), so if you're impatient, just unlock it on more characters for more chances per day (and once you're not farming the lead, you can get more alchemy mats out of them).

In two try, i got it two times (in Vivec) so I don't think drop rate are this low, plus it take like 2m per day, unlike that one lead for the lead that took HOURS and HOURS of doing nothing but pressing e

    An interesting perspective.

Players farming leads in Shadowfen were complaining about hours standing in the swamp grinding. One alternative to a swampy grind is just to give someone the chance once per day. That is what we have with this lead, which I had never heard of before now. I don't find it surprising that people have found a way to grind against it.

What makes the perspective interesting is that it makes me think that it is not ZOS that is driving people away from the game. I fear that people drive themselves away just by how they approach the challenges presented by the game, in this case, the desire to grind for rare items and the time it takes (the challenge) to do that.

The intent of the mythic items, and therefore the leads that collect the items used to create them, is that they are rare* in the world. Increasing the drop rate for the lead sort of negates that idea. If you get the lead after a reasonable amount of time, then the drop rate was too high.

    * This is a little bit of a joke, as people grind against them until they get it, so they end up being more "uncommon" than rare.

Seriously am I the only one that got the lead the first time I talked to the npc the day the chapter launched? You probably need to reflect on what you have done wrong in the game. Perhaps you angered Sithis, or screwed up in your latest black sacrament. Improve your gameplay, praise Sithis and the lead will knock on your door.

I got it on the first time too, and I wasn't even looking for it. I started hitting the shadowy supplier daily when the sticker book came out to complete my Sithis set, and since I'm still doing daily heists, I just keep talking to her.

It's a really low effort lead that just requires a bit of patience. Maybe they should add a "Sithis, give me patience!" option to her.

I think Sithis has a permanent grudge against me after I told Eveli I was a member of the Dark Brotherhood and then broke the Tenets by
handing over secret info about the Dark Brotherhood's Sanctuary in Blackwood.

Can he send the Wrath of Sithis real quick so I can kill it and get back in his good graces?

Please have some patience. Some things are designed to keep people playing the game and not give them everything quickly. It keeps people coming back to play and the world populated.
