I'm fairly certain that these only help you level up the Alliance War Skill lines, but do not actually increase the amount of AP you earn.
That being said, if you're playing in Cyrodiil, make sure that you're keeping your Delve Buff up at all times. Simply enter any delve and kill a delve boss and you're good to go for an hour. I believe that it's a 20% increase to AP earned for an hour.

It will take you 60,838,400 AP to reach Grand Overlord rank 1 without 50% bonus Colovian War Tortes. If you have one active at all times, however, it only takes 40,579,213 AP to reach Grand Overlord.
You don't gain more AP with them, you simply need less AP to achieve the Alliance War skills, skill points, titles, dyes, and furnishings.

AP is a currency. You can't gain a higher level of currency with torts. You can only gain rank points faster with tortes.

Try using the corrct wording then instead of trying to confuse people about "AP level." AP level is unaffected by tortes, in any fashion.

Alliance Points (AP) are used to level rank, leaderboard and skill level. AP can also be used to buy from a PvP vender. The tort is helpful in gain level and skill level, but not for leaderboard nor help for the PvP vender. Are you less confused now?
The tort will help you gain AP level and skill line.

What will they new scrolls do that the torte doesnt?

Press L (or whatever is used for console) and hover the mouse over the bar. Rank points are what determines your Alliance War rank. This number gain can be increased by 50%, 100%, or 150% by player sourced tortes. The new scrolls will do the same thing, only you buy them with crowns.
The tortes and scroll, however, will not increase your Alliance Points gain by any amount. Alliance Points are a spendable currency, and the amount of currency earned during the campaign determines your place on the leaderboards. Neither of those things are affected by tortes or scrolls. When you use tortes, Alliance Rank and Alliance Points are gained at different rates, with Alliance Points being unaffected.
For example, if you use a single repair kit on a wall and your AP goes up 100, your AR will go up 100 as well. However, if you eat a 50% gain torte and repair again, your AP will still go up 100, but your AR will go up 150. The benefit is that it takes less time to raise the Alliance War skills, earn the 50 skill points, and the dyes, titles, and furnishings.
Not 50% more AP. Instead it’s that your alliance rank advances 50% faster. It’s a subtle difference that clearly has caused tons of confusion. But if the goal is to rank up, this cuts the time it take by 1/3 when you keep the buff up.Mariusghost84 wrote: »Mariusghost84 wrote: »Holy crap I'm mad confused about the war torte thingy. Wow, to be honest i had no idea that alliance rank wasnt in sync with alliance points. I could have gotten 50% more alliance rank points by using the torte in Battlegrounds to then? Thank you a lot for explaning this @Jaraal
