I had a rapport increase with Bastian by simply entering a Mages Guild (the one in Wayrest, in case that makes a difference).
Yeh, I think the visiting Eyevea "rapport increase" is bugged, giving it to you when you enter the mage guild building the portal to Eyevea is located in, rather than when you go through the actual portal. I noticed that if your character is in the mages guild building when you log in to the game, you won't get the increase directly. At that time (with Bastian summoned of course), you can get the rapport increase by actually going through the portal.

I've encountered a Psijic mage in trouble while in Blackwood, and Bastian's rapport increased after I helped the mage.
I wonder all the 'helping npc in trouble' overland events will count, not specifically Psjic.
Bastian seems so excited something related to Psjic lol.

    • Found and added "Killing bandit in random encounter who is unlocking a treasure chest" for Bastian
    • Found and added "Killing Night Runners in Summerset" for Bastian
    • Added rapport numbers to the list (took some big rapport hits to test this stuff out )
    • The 'diminishing returns' usually just means it goes from the largest hit you can take (the number listed, like -25 for example) to -1 on your next attempt, or your next attempt on a very short cooldown, then after that, the rapport decrease of -1 seems to go up little by little, to something like -2,-4,-5 ...etc. It's weird.

I got approval from Bastian for attacking the gryphon in the random encounter in Summerset with the soldiers and the gryphon. After we killed it, I saw an increase (5 points or 10, can't recall) and he said something like "it's nice to restore people's faith in others".

There's also a random encounter in Blackwood with a Psijic who summons a Daedra and then calls for help, and killing the Daedra gave me approval there too. Unsure if it will be the same with the similar base game encounter involving a sorcerer, but he generally seems to approve of helping people in trouble in random encounters.
PC NA, CP2200+. Character creation is the true endgame.

Probably needs to have the Vvardenfell model finished first. Mirri reacted with "What's this? Some kind of exhibit? Looks incomplete" upon entering the library and no rapport gain.

The non-combat pets one didn't work for me. At the third non-combat daedric pet I summoned -- a Stonefire Scamp -- Mirri oohed and aahed at its cuteness, but I didn't see a rapport increase. Then I started summoning non-daedric ones, and she oohed and aahed again a few pets later (she mentioned a pony guar pet she had as a kid, but she didn't respond when I then summoned a guar).

I'm pretty sure I got a decrease from Mirri and a comment about her dislike of boats from porting to the exterior of Snugpod. I was very puzzled. (Snugpod, seriously? That's totally landbound.)

Mirri rapport decrease when we traveled to Vivec City by boat. I am thinking traveling with her to any region with an ocean coastline is a dislike.

She dislikes travel by boat - that's the issue here. It's not the coastline.

I have probably been on 50 boat rides since the PTS, 10 tonight. I cannot get a rapport decrease. I can't help but wonder if I am getting the decrease, but the loading screen is just so long between zones that the decrease is no longer visible on my screen when I am finally off the loading screen.

Do you happen to remember how much the rapport decrease was? Would it be possible to include a screenshot of it? Can anyone else verify the boat sickness rapport decrease? Short of seeing it myself or others verifying, I am a little reluctant to include it on the list just yet. :star:

    • Added Mirri's liking for a completed Library of Vivec
    • Added Mirri's interest in the completed Vault of Moawita
    • It took hours to complete Library of Vivec on one of my characters, but the ending with the Lost Library was very cool, so worth it. Wonder if Mirri likes the other zones completed thingies, too.
    • Unless the random events Bastian encounters where he "helps someone" begin to really vary in the amount of rapport given, I'm going to continue to not list each individually. I am currently testing and taking notes on them.
    • Would love verification on the amount of rapport decrease for Mirri's boat sickness if anyone is seeing it
    • Would also love verification on how much rapport is received for completion of personal quests. I saw someone mention 500. Can someone else verify it's 500 each? I have no idea how long it will take before I can pick up the quests myself
    • Thanks for all the finds, very appreciated!

I just completed the second quest for Mirri... it was available to me after the first one.. so they are seemingly very close in rapport requirement. I did indeed get 500 for completing the second one. (I didn't have the mod installed during the first quest completion)

Confirmed 500 for personal quest completion

Perhaps the flying insect information could be updated to specify it's only Torchbugs and Butterflies?

Granted, perhaps no one cares that Mirri doesn't object to harvesting any other flying insects (even though they all give insect parts, and Fleshflies can also give Fleshfly Larva) but it's a real distinction. (Especially for people who fish - or people who harvest them to sell to those who fish.)
(Posted May 22 - edited slightly to clarify what the numbers indicate)
I've been doing some serious testing with Mirri and the Flying Bugs (almost sounds like a band name, eh?) and the answer is:

She likes torchbugs and butterflies, and isn't happy when you kill them.

Torchbug: 4 decreases out of 8 bugs
Butterfly: 3 decreases out of 9

Zero decreases on any of the following, most notably Fleshflies, which are the only other insect that occasionally drops a specific green alchemy ingredient along with its insect parts (fleshfly larvae).

Fleshflies: 11 (number harvested with no comment from Mirri nor impact on Rapport)
    Dragonfly: 10
    Bright Moons Lunar Moth: 10
    Fetcherflies: 10
    Wasps: 1 (couldn't find these)
    Winter Moths: 6

Also, it appears that there is a cooldown on the rapport decrease, of approximately 5-6 minutes, which is the only reason my decrease ratios on Torchbugs and Butterflies were as low as they were. I was harvesting them too quickly.

Not certain but I believe (using add on CompanionInfo) that first personal quest is available at 1500 rapport and second at 2800 rapport.

I thought the second would be available at 2500 but apparently not so. Would love another data point to confirm.

Suggestion : wouldn't it be a good thing to collect / register the cooldown time on rapport triggering actions ?
For instance, it looks like you can't just read from bookshelves continously to increase rapport, but you can scry / excavate endlessly...

You can't scry/excavate endlessly. I was switching back and forth, scrying one with Bastian, excavating with Mirri, and that works reliably. But one time, I scried two in a row with Bastian out, without summoning Mirri in between - I was pretty sure it took at least five minutes between the two - but didn't get a rapport boost for the second one.

Since then, I've gone back to straight alternating. More testing on this would be useful, though.

Thank you for noticing! I had seen that there seemed to be a pattern, so I spent quite a bit of effort doing testing.

The obvious indicator was her commenting. She hardly ever skips making a comment when you pluck a torchbug or butterfly, even when it's within the cooldown period so you aren't losing rapport. The other insects - never a single comment.

That's why I wasn't too worried about only finding one Wasp to test (I had a hard time finding the single ones that can just be picked out of the air), and stopped counting after 6 Winter Moths. By that time, I felt I had sufficiently proved the concept, and spent enough time on it.

I certainly don't mind further verification, though. I believe there must be other types of flying insects I missed - I found the list I used on uesp.net, which is usually as reliable and complete a source as any.

I'm willing to add cooldown information to the list, but it will take someone a little more neuro-developmentally dynamic then myself to collect it all with the exactness the testing deserves and requires. :flushed:

Today, it worked for 5/6 of my characters, but only when summoning Daemon chicken or Slate-skinned Daedrat. So, perhaps there are specific pets required and maybe when it doesn't work, your character might still be on some kind of cooldown from a previous attempt? Not sure.
